Ive studied self defense and such for 30 + years in the few real fights ive had there was only one 1 on 1 fight. All the rest were usually standjng up to some bully type jerk then his friends jumping in. Id never competed in any spirt type fighting i would get killed or disqualified of rules were invovlver

It wasn't just martial arts it was knowing how to assess a situation and use the best technique to survive said situation. Sometimes one punch would work sometimes you need to pull a person's eye out. Every situation is different
