It’s so crazy to think that we are finding things in old dusty flea markets and thrift shops, that we remember being brand new in retail stores.
When I was a kid I had that exact Star Trek shuttle model kit. Brings back good memories. Thanks for the great nostalgia video...
Had the Mario with the suction cup... took it to school with me on my first day of third grade. Not sure how/why I remember that. Great store! Thank you for taking us along!
The Bart figure you held up in the beginning reminded me of the plushes of the entire Simpson family that Burger King introduced in the mid 90's with the purchase of value meals. .

Gotta say, loving these videos. Also like seeing someone else share in their passion for decades gone by. Though, I wasn't born until mid 1992, I still greatly respect and take interest in retro 80s and 90s merchandise.
ITS NOT A FLEA MARKET IF ONE GUY OWNS IT ALL. MEGGA THRIFT STORE PERHAPS
It's not considered a Flea Market, but not a Thrift store either. I think what this is is basically there are booths rented by other people who have the guy sell their items for them and then come back to get the money earned at a specific date. It is common for places like this to exist. Usually people who want to start a business selling specific items would rent a booth out from the owner, then stock the booth with their items, set their price, and then the person who owns the building will collect the money (And will separate by booth). Eventually the person who rents the booth will come to collect their earnings at a later date (Depending on the building, they will actually take out rent from the earnings). Their is a shop like this where I live. It too sells older stuff, but is usually from the 20s to late 60s. So anything you can think of. From Clothing to Records. With us being a college town, it has a lot of people selling the schools older merch (Which is amazing).

That Hershey Kiss looked like Mr. Funnel. I remember him coming to my grade school and seeing commercials saying don't dump your oil down the drain take it to a center.
Loved that Hobgoblin and Archie comics, had a few collections of those from my late father, he had all kinds of Sunday funnies from way back.

yeaah. he did this a lot through out the store. like when he just bends the Golden Eye GBC box out of the way.. like.. damn dude.. a little respect? just found this channel and i liked the video but some of the stuff he was doing, and as a collector? yeah..

After watching a few more of his videos, I think I found the root of the disrespect. I'd label Retro Rick as a scalper / flipper before calling him a collector. If he likes something, he'll buy it, but he's mainly looking for the profit, and anything he does "keep" is still for sale if the right price is thrown out. No love for the items. Just love for the money. Lame!
At 6:35 I went crazy for that ReBoot Dot figure. Such an underrated show(that doesn’t hold up tooooo well but I still love it)

Shuttle craft was my favorite, as I'm currently in the process of building a TOS bridge diorama from an old 1970s AMT model kit.
I think that part of Bugs Bunny is supposed to be slightly discolored or a light beige. If it was truly discolored from being aged, I think the eyes would be discolored as well.

Cool Flea Market!!.They closed down my local store a few years ago..it was a bit of a fire hazard as the guy had stuff literally everywhere. That particular flea market was around since 1974 and they knocked it down for apartments unfortunately. Also, I have have that Wile E.Coyote mug from my childhood!!. I was also living in the States when Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa broke the Home run record back in 1998 👍Greetings from Sydney.
Nice, first time here and I already have to school you. Be more respectful with handling comic books. You bent a couple of them enough to cause creases at the spine. Thumb through them, lifting each one up at a time. Sorry to have to mention it but being careful is important.

Wow! I remember having both the Cloud Luigi & the pop-up Mario when I was a kid. I’m not sure where we got them though, we were rarely allowed to eat at McDonalds so not many Happy Meals in my childhood.

Dude if you ever come out to Connecticut there is an actual flea market in my town that is only opened on Sundays and it makes that store look like a bodega. It has two floors in an old factory. It is pretty big with tons of vendors.

That Shuttle Craft would be mine! =D I generally don't collect Hot Wheels or Match Box but they do have some Star Trek, Jurassic Park and dinosaurs I'd grab if I saw them.

The Turtle Van was my favourite. I had two of the toys in the case where you got the Mario and Captain Planet toys. One was the Catwoman in the car from the 1992 Batman Returns McDonald's Happy Meals toyline, and the other was the girl with the red hair who was named Boomer and was one of the Burger King Kids Club Kids from back in the day. We went to McDonald's alot when I was a kid and so we got the Happy Meal toys all the time. My dad also worked at Burger King from like 1989 until 1991 and so he'd bring home the Kids Club stuff for me all the time (both of my siblings were babies at the time).
I used to have the Coyote and Bugs Bunny mugs as a kid. I had the Road Runner, too. I don't remember where I, well my parents, got them from. It was either a KFC promotion or Movie World.

Oh boy! It’s been two years since I’ve been to a flea market! The flea markets in my town couldn’t happen at all last year because of COVID.
I would have picked up the matchbox case .my son collected matchbox cars when he was little and had many..I loved that flea market .I am new subscriber..cool cool stuff..I had two of the wiley mugs .gave them away years ago..wish I had kept them now .

Didn't have a sticker book but I had Colorforms. I had the TMNT and Masters of the Universe. Loved them and played with them and the cheap cardboard scenery for hours.
The wiley coyote and the batman case were the 2 best scores.

After these crazy times ama try and go out and check out flea markets. I always liked them but am pretty much a recluse always at work or home i never do anything anymore but i think now that i been stuck inside for so long un able to go out i think ama not take it for granted anymore and change my life style.

Greetings! I've been releasing 8-bit creations under a certain user name for over 10 years, so imagine my surprise when I saw that same name on your channel! I actually haven't created any videos like yours, so comparing my creations and yours are pretty much impossible. Two things: One - @6:00 - The mascot is named Spuds MacKenzie. Two - Keep a look out for an E.T. activity book if you haven't spotted it already. This actually existed, and I owned a copy myself.

Oh man, I would have gone crazy with the hot wheel toys and the trains. Moreso the hot wheels, I miss all my old vehicles I used to play with. Majority of them got stolen by my neighbor so I definitely need to start finding replacements.
