How to Use the /Ride Command in Minecraft | All about /Ride

- A tutorial showing you how to use the /ride command to make you, a player or mob ride another entity
There are several ways you can write the ride command and I show you the difference and when you night use each of them I also explain the limit and distance attributes as well as explore what happens with different mobs as they interact with the organics of minecraft
NOTE: this is only available in Minecraft snapshot 23W03a or later

It would be really fun to ride a normal guardian above the water since it cant attack when a player is directly next to them and they always hop around. You could make fun minigames trying to place bets on which rider can make it to the goal.

they should make it the nearest player/mob that u can ride instead having to always look at the mob/player to ride all the time
That would be handy but it wouldnt give you the same flexibility

well gl but easiest way you would just type /ride mount -make sure cursor is on warden and it should give you entity id as an option

is it possible to do this but only for snowballs YOU throw
The basic command covers snowballs so it doesnt differentiate between who threw them

Command properties are very different in bedrock - I believe you can only do already rideable mobs but Ill do some testing
no one ever thinks of the mobile players which is sad bc my sibling is a mobile user and they cant do a lot of stuff like commands like debug stick lots of mods bc all of the cool and fun ones are on curse forge its sad for mobile players :/ and the lag and my sis found out about this and couldn't do it bc only computer has it well at least for now
bedrock has different commands and different parameters for the ride option
how do u do it with a trident
This should be the command for you /ride username mount @e[type=miencraft:trident,limit=1,distance=..10]

In java yes but in bedrock I don't believe you can

when you hover over the mob during command it will show the UUID

Yes.
I'm pretty sure It's not yet been added to Bedrock
This command is in bedrock from my research however the format may vary between platforms :)

Im not sure how the commands for bedrock for this work - Ill look into it for you
as of rn im playing in 1.19.3 java and it doesnt exist
