I have played Java edition once and that was recently, so I'm not certain if it's the mandela effect or what, but I remember a lot of the things from Java being in the Minecraft Xbox 360 version. The 2D bobber especially. I miss those days...when Minecraft was simple, me and my friends would play on worlds for days before starting over the next big update...
The better together update ruined bedrock. Since its the same game on xbox as on mobile that means everything is bottlenecked by the question of whether or not itll function on mobile so the old xbox version/legacy console versions were abandoned for this newer, worse version all just to allow cross platform multiplayer.
It's not just you The X360 version was indeed a JavaScript version port with Bedrock GUI, Menus and features. I think it was supposed to be some public prototype... 17:14 also on bedrock edition , the totem particles come or pop out of the player and disappear whereas the java particles fall down
I like both of them because bedrock totem actually looks like a magical thing but java has more particles
they added bundles to experiments in bedrock.
At one point in Bedrock you could have your horse riding in a boat with you, unfortunately they removed this feature not too long ago making traveling a little more tedious.
You can tie them to a leash while you ride a boat, which is tedious if you dont have a leash yet.
They removed the ability to craft a cobweb into nine string for "parity" despite the fact they could've just added it to Java edition.
My favorite minecraft mcpe and you❤❤❤
As of 1.19.30 a few of these things have changed. (at least on windows ten) boats now no longer need a shovel, the cobweb to string crafting recipe has been removed 😢😢😢 and the barrel recipe has been changed to match java. Also At 14:50 swords with fire aspect can also light tnt which is convenient for nether mining to not have to craft more flint and steel. and also another fun fact in bedrock if you wear a mob head or pumpkin then you become invisible to locator maps.
Wait pumpkins and heads disguise you on maps? SWEET!!!
They removed the less appealing exclusive features of java now we just need mods
8:40 Black cats with yellow eyes are spawning at full moon in Java Edition as well. I have a lot of villages and in some of them are black cats with yellow eyes.
4:50 Java Steve actually blinks at the same time as the player irl so his eyes are perfectly fine
Fun fact: I've never played Java. Only bedrock. Simply because I've always had either an x box as a kid, or a phone as an adult. I had no idea I was so lucky...thx for the video:)
bedrock has more interesting details while java focuses on gameplay and mod support. so, its slightly luckier growing up on java in my opinion
@nahniogel I've honestly never was into killing Jean. I was always interested in building and farming
If you played on the Xbox 360 edition then that wasn’t bedrock but instead a unique version of the game.
@herkload huh. Didn't know that
Pistons can push tile entities in bedrock because they have a thicker skick.
Edit: sugarcane grows very fast for me even without bonemeal.
In java the random tick speed is set to 3 unlike 1 in bedrock , this means all crops and tick able blocks are ticked 3 times faster
These, and thousand other why i play Bedrock, over Java. :D just so much player friendly, and much more amazing.
16:17 Herobrine! 😂 Nice secret.
Only criticism i can give.. is that.. some of this is pre1.20.. so its kinda outdated..
6:35 i saw herobrine
Something else that I just noticed yesterday: boats in Bedrock no longer require a shovel to craft.
It’s always exciting to see a new video being made by Anthony, never fails to make a good video
16:16 team who see herbobrine
👇
Bedrock: Simple, neat, interesting little details.
Java: Actually playable
lmao true
I got banned for building a dick on hypixel, so instead of paying 30 dollars for a new mc Java account I played hypixel bed wars on bedrock, played for 10 mins and bought another Java account for 30$ lmao. It feels tacky and more based towards younger children
Must be bedrock edition on computer, i never encounter any bugs on console
Funny my bedrock works JUST FINE
I swear to God bro these java fanboys thinking that bedrock is till stuck on 1.14
too bad cobwebs don't give you 9 string in bedrock anymore
CAP
14:17 you can also pose the armor stands in bedrock
i always thought i was in java edition, until i tested the piston & sheep one and found out im in bedrock edition. this really helped!
Tbf it's not difficult to tell. Java has its own launcher app, bedrock just launches as soon as you click it's icon
@@demonicp4763you can play bedrock in the launcher too :) so it is possible to get confused if you dont pay attention
Wait how could you not know 💀
I have played Java edition once and that was recently, so I'm not certain if it's the mandela effect or what, but I remember a lot of the things from Java being in the Minecraft Xbox 360 version. The 2D bobber especially. I miss those days...when Minecraft was simple, me and my friends would play on worlds for days before starting over the next big update...
Yeah, the 2D bobber was definitely in older versions of bedrock
The better together update ruined bedrock. Since its the same game on xbox as on mobile that means everything is bottlenecked by the question of whether or not itll function on mobile so the old xbox version/legacy console versions were abandoned for this newer, worse version all just to allow cross platform multiplayer.
It's not just you
The X360 version was indeed a JavaScript version port with Bedrock GUI, Menus and features. I think it was supposed to be some public prototype...
I remember this because the drops were at one point 2D, and when Java upgraded to the 3D ones, the 360 version followed up with the 3D drops
So thats why i remember having java features in minecraft even though i had no pc back then
1:23 it does now
Yeah hardcore is added to Minecraft bedrock
Yep, and I love it, now I can play on my Playstation
I tried and it’s hard but probably cause I used Nintendo so it’s smaller screen
11:29 they’ve finally fixed it. I did learn the hard way as I was gonna make a bunch of boats and made so many shovels to then realise they were unnecessary
🤣
6:17 we got rickrolled guys
In the new update, bedrock got spectator!!
As someone who plays on bedrock, a lot of this stuff is both quite amusing and confusing.
When people say one is better than the other, I say this:
Java has better gameplay, but Bedrock has a faster, more efficient engine and programming language behind it.
i find the UI on bedrock easier to understand than javas which makes me instantly pick it over the other. but i barely play java nor do i have a laptop with a working keyboard atm so im probably extremely biased to bedrock. id rather see my coords in the corner than having to remember a combo of buttons to see a bunch of info that covers the screen
My comparison: Java has better servers and mods, Bedrock has better accessibility (diff devices and being able to build out in front of you for eg) and difficulty tweaking (like wither difficulty and ability to find biomes).
@@invadernikku Yeah, the Bedrock UI is definitely better! It also looks nicer too! It has these really cool 3D buttons, that Java does not have.
@@jessy1982 Yeah. Really the only reasons I play Java Edition are:
1. I am a Linux user, so getting Bedrock to work needs some tinkering.
2. Bedrock is very locked down and has micro transactions etc...
3. Hardcore mode.
I am actually working on my own voxel game built in the Rust programming language.
@@oglothenerdOh yes the micro transactions are a problem! But I like how we can build our skin on bedrock using parts we get through acheivements and parts we get from free daily calendar style events, so I've never actually spent money (even though it'd advertised quite a bit) but still managed to benefit from the features.
It’s called big brain baby villager😂
1:25 it's because in bedrock you can just randomly die from fall damage even when you don't fall, very common when leaving the end
I've heard of someone who got a bug that perma reversed drowning till they relogged.
Made it to where they drown on land but it sees water as air.
Idk how that can even happen cause the code is set in stone.
I don't know where people find these bugs but in my almost 10 years of playing bedrock I don't think I've seen any bug that would affect the experience in any way. I do remember that one bug where you could do some weird stuff with a boat or something that would turn all blocks invisible until you got out of the boat but I haven't seen that in years either. Maybe it's bedrock on pc that has all the bugs and as a ps player I just haven't seen any
@@CACgaming007 i was had something similar happen to me, the difference was that i just drowned forever
you've probably never progressed past the nether@@patoman5112
@@CACgaming007 NGL, that sounds like an interesting Survival challenge "Can I beat the game with gills?"
I think there should be a version of minecraft that simply combines (fire)aspects of both versions.
As someone who has played bedrock their entire life, I’m genuinely so shocked at some of these. I guess I watch too many Java UA-camrs to realize this. Time to make an automatic sugarcane farm
15:54 you can mix colors aswell
Nice video but some of them already match with Java recently. ( still angry why they removed shovel on Bedrock . Come on its fucking cool )
Same
Java players say they’re jealous but what do they think bedrock players have felt like for years
Java gets cool commands and a debug stick, when bedrock gets that java can have pushing chests with hoppers
i think most java players like myself grew up on bedrock
So i can say bedrock is so much worse than java
Java pvp : 🤡
Bedrock pvp : 🗿
bedrock pvp is just java 1.8 pvp but worse
Click click click click click? ah yes. the best pvp ever ( you lil kid)
@@nerd5865 wdym
4:36 However this means that in bedrock u can use bows with shields at the same time.
bedrock team 💪💪💪
😊
Team java
8:23 in the old version, bedrock edition rails will break upon contact with water, but in the newer version (1.17+) the rails has been programmed to be perfectly water-logged
Rails have always been able to be water logged mate , it's just them breaking on contact with flowing water
@@Bubbsmc not in the newest version
@@rakasuryadin5811 yes in the newest version mate , I literaly just tried it , flowing water breaks rails but water logging
@@Bubbsmc I saw a video on yt that shows rails in bedrock edition is waterproof, it didn't not break upon contact with flowing water, is that video was a lie all along?
@@rakasuryadin5811 yeah try it yourself mate, might be a beta feature
I still remember the reason why I switched from Java to Bedrock was because I thought they were gonna stop updating Java, now after so many years, I don't think I can go back.
Also wtf, why don't Java maps show players??? They used to show players and coordinates back when I played. Really got nerfed.
they do. antony's just lying.
in fact, it's actually the variant that doesn't show players that's missing from java.
but showing co-ordinates was exclusive to legacy console, as far as i'm aware.
This makes me feel better about not having hardcore...
6:28 This is the same as Java now since the latest update.
Some parity absolutely NEEDS to happen, I’m jealous of so many things that just aren’t available on my version but are on the other, and I see things that really should be on the other that mine has. It feels weirdly unfair and almost like it’s meant to help fuel the feeling of divide between the two.
Bedrock players starved of the cool creative mob farms and builds so happy I made the swap
I have no interest in farms or things like that. I'd rather grind and enjoy the game. But i understand why others like it.
@@Zeb1st bedrock has cool farms but only like 5 people do consistent videos
Some farms like
Portal zombie piglin farm
Large general mob farms
Enderman farms
Wither skeleton farms
Guardian farms
Raid farms
There also many many more but It's gonna take sometime to list
Main advantage of bedrock farms is most are fully auto and give xp
Shield 🛡️crouching is actually good for balancing
The parrot dancing on your shoulder feature should be added to Java fr
If you think about it, Legacy minecraft is basically the perfect combination of Bedrock and Java... So why not build bedrock off of Legacy instead of Pocket Edition?
I totally agree and still play it
They should update legacy again
@@maximus_relosi I play it on the steam deck with Cemu
it's probably 'cause legacy console was made by a completely different company.
Oh God that pfp 💀
8:19
And there it is, the place where my love for Minecraft started…
Those 3 mobs are spawnable because they have a mode when they cant/dont attack player so the vindicator when it doesn’t show its axe
Evoker when it isnt summoning an attack and piglin brute when wearing gold
