HELLUVA BOSS EP. 6 FIGHT SCENE ROUGH ANIMATION

- Earlier this year, Chaos Emporium had the honour and privilege to team up with Vivziepop and the wonderfully talented folks at Spindlehorse Toons animating the action packed fight scene for Helluva Boss Episode 6!
Helmed by our amazing animation director, @douglas.azevart, Chaos provided the rough animation for the fight scene and built a 3D room used for some of the more ambitious camera moves.
We simply had a blast bringing this Chaos to life!
The original song 'Blitzo's Brass Bloodbath' featured in this rough cut was composed by Felippe Pipeta (@felippepipeta) and Fabio Luchs (@fluchs) with sound design by the ever amazing Rani Sharone (@itsthrillsville)

Magnificent work! Loved Loona's movements especially, and that skill that it takes to rotate the "camera" while still keeping the characters grounded is amazing! Also, that musical backing is so amazing, wish it would've made it in the final product! Hopefully we get it released solo sometime!
Thank you so much! That camera rotation was a very cheated move of mine lol. Technically, the characters should stay placed on the ground and rotating with the camera, but I wanted to finish the scene with them facing the opposite side of the room whiteout having to change their animation. So the I only way to solve that was cheating XD The background rotates but their feet is staying still. With the distraction of the chains animation and the whole dynamic arcs of the 3D background the audience doesn't notice that. I'm glad you like it! It was the most complicated shot from our sequence and an intense teamwork, but it totally worth the efforts 😁

I like how even Moxxie gets the chance to kick some ass!
Plus, I love how Loona's fur tufts moves in the shot with Blitzo kissing her.
This is insane, holy shit, thank you for keeping this art alive even when big studios seem to have abandoned/shelved it. You are making magic!! This blows my mind and I am amazed at your talent.
I think it will come back since we now have amazing technology to draw directly in the computer from a tablet. I use a xp-pen and I love it

So I'm interested in learning animation.
What's the difference of all the colors? Layers?
Ok I’m a second year animation student, so here’s what I know. The different color lines are meant to differentiate the objects and thing from each other, which makes it easier to see where is where and what someone is working on. Typically every different thing is on a different layer that way nothing is accidentally overlapping with one another.
@@Kitkat_004 That's very right! And sometimes when there are red colors they came from me. Sometimes when I give notes and we don't have that much time, I do it already in full tie down so the animator can keep focusing on the rest of the scene :)

I guess I'm the odd one out here for preferring the final music choice (especially for this scene, the music here is cool in its own way but it doesn't have nearly enough badassery and it doesn't really match the HB characters). Kudos on the absolutely amazing animation though, this scene was the highlight of season 1.

So you use only 1 layer for character fighting off another character from another layer?
So uh yeah I looked up rough animation for loona to help me learn more how to animate the characters… and uh yeah don’t ever fucking look that up
