Trying to do this on 10.0.7 is ridiculous. The adds spawn much more often and have more health, so you cannot burn them down as fast as shown here. I am not sure if its a bug or not but anytime you kill half the adds it spawn 2 more groups at the same time.

Eh, I'll just put it here: Consumables: Pretty much same as here with SL Flask and SL Augment runes,(cheap as chips) but I used Completely Safe Rockets and Potion of Unbridled Fury, scaling is off so they both go brr. Pet: I used my trusty demon spider, not only it fits my mog it also gives leech and hero. Gear: literally whatever my current gearset is, for reference: 421 ilvl with decent trinkets no farming needed. If you want you can look up Nailed - Sylvanas EU its my alt, don't judge. I also had 1x Shadowflame and Acidic Hailstone Treads. The move speed decrease isn't noticeable with a couple speed enchants. 4pc from Abberus raid. Strategy: I started off by trapping Karam with freezing trap and tar trap in close succession, used binding shot just as he left the tar trap allowing me to turret for a good 10 seconds before I had to move, by this point he was at 75% health with no CDs popped. Continuing to strafe around him with concussive shot up and tar trap as and when it was needed. Raest DPS phase 1, full sent everything, hero, potion, the works. using Volley/Salvo to nuke the first set of adds without needing to trickshots at all, and explosive shot the second set and then just trickshots until Karam p2. Karam P2 was as simple as it could be, concussive shot/tar trap the dude and pepper him with DPS, kicking or just 2 tapping the hands, like I said completely safe rockets go brr, soak the swirlie then rinse and repeat until Raest DPS p2. Raest DPS p2, just zug zug the boss like you did in the first DPS phase just remember to soak the add spawns. You can use Trueshot here if you want or in p3, I elected here as I have more time to stand and nuke. P3, Volley/salvo any and all adds remaining, Freezing Trap Karam and go full turret into Raest, If you get unlucky with the spawns, turtle is your bestie in stopping Karam from fucking your day up while soaking, keep Karam away and just zug zug Raest, encounter ends on his death, Karam just despawns. probably common knowledge but I've been a DK for years so I just facetank everything and kill it before it kills me. For those curious, I ended the fight doing 3.9k DPS but as Kane said, its not a DPS race, learn the mechanics first and then optimise damage. Good Video by Kane here, I just found this way to be easier. My motto for this method: Brute force and moderate ignorance.
For some reason my damage is dramatically lower than yours even though I’m wearing full 405 PvP gear. Is there some specific items that are giving you this damage? I usually have to do at least 4 hands in the first phase with them and I can never get raest below 60% before I’m just over run with adds even while maintaining trick shots.
The gear in the challenge is scaled down to ilvl 120 so a green 290 item with crit/mastery will perform alot better than a 405 pvp item with XX/Versa. Other than that im using the dragonflight 4pc setbonus which is a couple % of damage and mainstat trinkets (with horrible effects, they did like 0.9% and 0.8 damage combined this fight)
Great Vid but some more info on gear would be appreciated. Feel most average players will get the mechanics right eventually, at least after 50 attempts (maybe rethink your life if you can’t lol) but the dps for me is the killer. Karam is no concern in first two phases, burns fairly quickly, adds the same depending how well my traps are placed. However, I am no where near burning the mage. Assuming I soak 2 pools (I have worst luck) I’m not even close and eventually get over run or miss something. Have spent hours on pandaria gear, enchants and gems, even spent hours literally comparing all gear options inside the scenario to see which gives me the better stats
@@Insane_Kane And that’s why they oh you the big bucks! Thanks man, had a feeling I was doing more dps in DF gear but assumed gems were more important. Would you recommend I change my DF gems to agility gems just to help with scaling or stick to current marksman/crit gems

Ultimately got him doing 2.3K dps but it was a long and ugly fight no where near as nice as yours lol thank you for the info.

Wowhead mentioned that the Pandaria Gear (soo specifically) is not scaling correctly and is probably too weak.
