    This completely comes down to the user not understanding fluxbox or tiling window managers work.

      It takes time for users to get used to Linux, for me I started using Linux like 6 months back only now I'm modifying the terminal with prompts and adding key bindings and testing out different Terminal emulators. Maybe in 2 years time I might be more skilled and knowledgeable to use Arch or Nixos.

      @@josephalan31 I jumped straight over from windows to Arch+wm around a year ago and honestly Arch isn't as hard as people think. Zsh in Kitty so far is my favourite. There is an easy install script but it's definitely better to install manually for starters, just to get a good idea of the system itself. My argument above, is that someone is reviewing a distro without understanding how it works first. Window tiling managers take a little set-up or understanding of the current setup first.

      @@josephalan31 How are you going now as it's been awhile? lol. I've been using Arch+hyprland and still stuck on the kitty terminal.

      @@josephalan31i know this is late but the only way to get use to learning Arch is to use it and READ the wiki. So start tomorrow.

    kali i feel like is for beginner hacker/ testers , black arch is more for someone who wants to actually have utility and versatility in the environment without having to constantly download new software and update it anytime you need a new approach , it’s more of like a kali linux on steroids but without that user friendly look. which i like cause then you won’t have a bunch of people making most of the tools irrelevant cause everyone’s wanting to try pen testing 😂 , kali is like “ you can hack but there’s only so much available off the bat” arch is like” you said you wanna knock down youtube , google and samsung in 45 mins ?? say less hold my script 😎”

    • @secbydaniel
      @secbydaniel  Рік тому +6

      Both distributions can do the same. Arch is just less user friendly.

      @@secbydaniel Right. Its about what you want. I think you did an okay job showing blackarch off but, showing the user-repository method as well wouldve done it more justice.

      @@secbydanielthat's right....at end of day . ...it's just an environment..
      If u started as black arch....that's what u know....
      If u started as kali....that's what u know.
      Switching the side is hard....but if u stayed in that environment from beginning....that's easy for user right...

    Kali is great, very simple, good place to start.
    If you get into an arch distro and want to try those same pen test tools and more, then you just add blackarch repo.
    This video was more about you not liking the desktop environment that you likely selected, just like in Kali you can use different desktop environments if you want.

    • @secbydaniel
      @secbydaniel  Місяць тому

      Kali is great. I would like to say that it is all about getting the job done - not looking like some shortcut pro doing it all more difficult. An OS is all about the visuals. We can call it the desktop environment or the terminal, but the reality is that they are both visual interfaces. One usually with a mouse other only with a keyboard. I really think that distros like Black Arch got some sort of place in the market, but it can do nothing more than Kali.
      it all comes down to the "do you like it" factor.

      It is a choice. The one is no better than the other. Of course the ones using kali will say its better than arch and vise versa.
