Niagara Falls Canada freezes over - Spectacular photos from 2014 polar vortex

The polar vortex which has swept through Canada and the US has caused parts of Niagara Falls to freeze over. Sections of the falls were covered in ice and the observation area was frozen over. The cold weather coming from the Arctic has led to misery for millions of Canadians and Americans, who have had to battle temperatures deeping to below minus-60 degrees celsius. However, visitors were still allowed in to see the falls and managed to capture some spectacular photographs. The extreme weather is unlikely to last too much longer with forecasters predicting temperatures rising by the weekend. Report by Ashley Fudge.

Canada is the best country on earth.
Nice pics of the US falls. Niagara Falls on the Canadian side, the horseshoe falls has never froze up but did stop running once due to a ice jam eat the mouth of Lake Erie. When it did people were able to walk on the river bottom only to find vast amount of relics from the war of 1812 including canons.
The ice bridge below the falls used to have a sort of mid way on it until one day it broke up with a few hundred people on the ice when it did.
Theres nothing wrong with the climate, this is normal, keep on polluting.
You know there was a "little ice age" between the 1500s and 1700s where climate somewhat lowered in certain areas. Certain aspects of global warming are man-made, but others are natural. It depends how you look at it.
Polar ice cores show this is true going back millions of years, the best analogy I can think of is we are throwing more fuel on the fire.

think of all the bombs the russians tested in the north. most of the fallout fell into the ice sheets in the arctic. that stuff don't freeze and it's half life is a long time. radioactive isotopes slowly melting the glaciers ocean doesnt' rise till plates shift from ocean floor expansion near the equator. many quakes a comin in near future, hotspots are cascadia fault, Istanbul, San Fransisco, Mexico, New Zealand, Sumatra. oh and dont' forget anak Krakatoa... these things are all meant to happen but i beleive the isotopes melting the glaciers have brought it on to ourselves .fucking morons had to test nukes... whoever thought that was a good idea was a moron

minus nineteen with the windchill is not cold. at all. it's winter.
-19 with the windchill? I'm an hour away from here and a week ago it was -65 with the windchill. Something is definitely fucked up with the weather.

Braving temperatures of -19? That was funny, we keep getting temperatures in the -30's to -40's this year. The temperature even fell in -50's one day during the holidays here in Quebec, -19 is a joke.

Imagine what happens when that stuff melts.
It doesn't matter weather or not global warming is human induced or whether or not it's real. We still need to be responsible and do what we can to preserve our planet. I feel that people who haven't actually studied the topic think it's a hoax for three reasons: they don't want to be responsible; money; politics. However, if you've studied the topic extensively and conclude it's a hoax then I respect that. But if you have not, then you can't automatically say it's a hoax just because the lakes freeze over or we have an inactive hurricane season. Obviously people exploit global warming to make money and spread political agenda. But that doesn't automatically mean it doesn't exist. You could exploit something that exists.

Yes this is global warming....warm weather getting warmer. As for cold weather, it gets no snow at all or unnatural snowfall in just a few hours. Heatwaves getting worser, stronger storms, droughts.....the list goes on. Naive people should address global warming as Climate Change because it better suits issue all of us are facing.
