With a full Carbon Kevlar HGK Suprajet bodykit, 2JZ engine pushing 1000hp and a sequential gearbox, it's one of the best built drift cars in the world. But, what does Formula Drift and Drift Masters champion James Deane think of it? We decided to get James in the drivers seat last week to give us his feedback and help us with setup. What a treat to have James around as a friend and advisor.
I wonder if he could get Adam LZ in the supra for some feedback. He's built 3 or 4 drift A90s now including the 4 rotor car and has a lot of seat time in the chassis.

James in the 180 is so good, brings back all memories from the early 2000's. He's not wrong drifting a stock s chassis is incredibly fun.

One of the common issues of the a90 chassis is the back end feel when pushed hard, the rear toe changes under compression/extension making it feel too loose. I'd assume with this level of build it would of been addressed.

Also you blew my mind when you said this thing was shorter than a GT86, 🤣. Granted, I've never put the two cars side-by-side IRL, but just looking at them you'd think the Supra was bigger. I guess the short rear end and long front make it look bigger than it really is.
There's something about seeing the worlds best drifter, in possibly the best form of his entire career, still having the time of his life in a stock car on what is basically a wet Irish car park. Probably doesn't get to do that very often these days.

You guys should do a little series on drifting cars that are less than 300hp and do some tandem. As sick as the supra is, it's not something that people can relate to. I think a lot of people chase power to drift when reality you don't need that much to have fun.

I'm sure you could have a less aggressive anti lag setting on a switch for when you need a little pep but not crazy
If the 180 is ever being sold dave I got first dibs last time I had a 180 I was 18 built by john Alan was about 350 and has an s15 front end conversion just seeing james driving 1 bring back so many trips to cruises so many rally of the lakes so many trips to the marts for idc watching James when he was first starting best of luck to all you guys content and moral since the fire has literally been insane and proves you guys are on top of Ur game and why drift games and driftmasters are and is the best drift organisation

data is data more is always better. if you have more inputs into the ecu id recommend throwing a front and rear ride height sensors. its gonna help with monitoring and making changes to suspension
James Should of tested it with the Anti lag to see his opinion, Some anti lag systems don't really work good for drifting because when you lift throttle to adjust or grip up a bit the car just keeps going.

You look so much more comfortable driving without the anti lag on so might even be worth getting comfortable with the car and the way it reacts without it for a while then once you e gotten to the comfort point use the anti lag in situations you might need it 🥰
