Seeing that old Willys just got my adrenalin going. I have a 42 Ford Jeep I been putting off cause of other projects. I need to get that thing on the road.
Yes!! Love it when these stock old vehicles out do the new stuff. Old school is awesome!! " not saying everything is stock. Just saying its cool when you do find stuff like that"
Jeremy brought a gun to a knife fight. Y'all should have piled in his jeep and driven down the "fun" tuff stuff to the lake. 😉😃. Cool flat fender for sure. But I love Jeremy's setup👍👍
Thank you. As the crux would have been a lot of fun to do, it was something we would take on as a group and think it was the right call to head back. But might need to head back out there one of these days 😎
I enjoyed the views and beauty of the area. When you become more comfortable with the little jeep and your driving skill improves you will walk circles around those big heavy 4X4's. I drove Series LR's for years with wimpy axles, poor gearing, limited power and a ride that made me very aware of where the vehicle was on the trail. Now that I'm older I drive a JL Willy's diesel, it's like a Cadillac on the trail and with the limited slip its like a Goat. I really do miss the old rigs and its fun to watch people learning to drive.
The issue nobody ever addresses is how old these trails are. What the vehicles of the day then and that it was all maps and compasses. Open difs were all there was. That Willys was how it was and most likely the vehicle used. I have been over a lot of the trails in northern CA/NV. My primary navigation is map and compass. I carry a GPS as a backup. Also, with a map and compass you can pinpoint your location.
Great video I really enjoyed it. I Live up here where you were filming and I have not been on on that trail yet. I will have to go donut trail sometime but you were pretty far from snake Lake. Snake Lake is West of Quincy and gold Lake is East of Quincy about 40 or 50 miles apart.
I drove a CJ2A recently and it really is a seat-of-the-pants ride. Felt really weird to be so exposed and not really IN the Jeep. I'm now considering buying one and keeping it relatively stock to wheel.
I LOVE the older cars. Somewhere in the 80s or 90s, cars started losing their souls. No character in new cars. Merely more technology to disconnect you from the experience of driving.
They sharply lost their souls after 2018 I would think. That was the sharp line in the sand that things become more tech than machine. They all wanted to copy Tesla.
I thought I was the only one thinking that. For sure these young go getters definitely hit a compass rose beforehand and swung that compass. They also had a good looking map and sunshine … lots of landmarks. Should have been an easy day.
This is awesome Harry. And the best part is the flattie!
Excited to see the little jeep out and about Harry 👍🏼👌🏼
This was a fun day wheeling. Thanks Driving Line!

Good call, Great video
We had a great time as always with the crew and everyone that makes these a blast to film. Thanks again for having us along! Till next time 😎
Poor bronco dash thought it was christmas time! 🤣
Half the lies they tell about me aren't true- Yogi Berra
Thanks for the video!
Great cinematography! Though, watching you bounce around in that flat fender has me scheduling a chiropractor appointment from sympathy pains.
It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be to be honest.
The Hat!! ❤😎👍🏻
The Crux is no joke. I have run it both ways and it is a steep loose section for sure. They made the right call for sure
Looked like a ton of fun though! But agreed.
Absolutely great content guys!
Great video definitely looks like a great adventure - Inder - Rigs & Trails

This was an AWESOME video to watch! My favorite On The Trail episode yet!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼😃😃

Great video! Good job! 👍🏻

There must be more than one Snake Lake (kind of like how there are so many Silver Lakes and Bear Valleys in California).
Flatties were meant for dirt roads and fun. Apparently the bronco was too! Beautiful drive

They say you ride ON a flatfender not IN a flatfender!
That's the big problem with fords. To many electronics. But at least you guy make it out.
What was up with the Bronco? I live in the area but have never been on this trail.
I think that it lost a wheel sensor. When that happens all the lockers/sway bar/4WD seem to go into limp mode.

@miko_994h
Everyone should learn to wheel a flattie then move up the ladder
It looked like a ton of fun and to the point I’m now looking for one haha
@discipleoffroad7509 heck ya I have a 43 that I need to work on.... video got me excited about it
Could somebody clue me in on what front bumper is on the JK, thanks.
EVO Mfg. Pro Series bumper 👍🏼
Just bracing myself for the Bronco to snap an axle or tie rod end when it’s spinning the tires! Yikes!
Is there a video on that ‘48?
Not yet! We shot it but it hasn’t been edited yet. Coming soon.
Awesome!! Looking forward to it! It seemed to do really well! It looks great, too.
Ford always has electronic problems!
ABDT...always bring duct tape...
That is my cup holder! 😂
Compass on a steel hood? Okay, lieutenant. 🙄
