@@LillyStrideway usually poisoned cows will appear dead outside the fence or close to it. A good tip is that if you see a cow that you didn’t kill, don’t eat it.

Can I ask- how do u know when meat is poisoned and also can u see the rancher?

It's on the ranch and is a trap that occasionally pops up. There are so many different traps that they pop up randomly.
