I had the pleasure of working on the road crew for Stevie and double trouble setting up the stage and packing up after every show Stevie and the guys in the band every one I worked with was like family we miss you Stevie thank you for giving me a chance when I was a dumb kid to do something that helped you and the band pass love around the world with your music legend never die always much love to you Rip❤
I cry everytime i watch this...such a loss 😢 Think he was like Elvis...on another level yet kind & humble..sadly he was taken WAY too early ❤ Thankyou...it wasnt long lol I can listen to Stevie for hours...great reaction 🤘
Fantastic that the two of you should first comment on the work ethic, how well prepared to do his job he was. Fantastic, marvelous, thank you. Plenty of my my fellow citizens of the USA could use to be more concerned about such things. Cheers.
SRV ~ 🎸🐐 The goatiest goat in all of goatness His message was in regards to the apartheid that was taking place in South Africa at the time. However, the message transcends time and is applicable still today. The flag is the Texas State flad. Wehere Stevie was from. The song was a tribute to his friend Charley, who had passed away. (The white Strat was named Charley)
I read the comments in SRV reaction vids all the time, and you're always in them and always saying "the goatiest goat in all of goatness". I get a kick out of it every single time:)
If you notice at bout 11:45 he breaks his tooth and starts looking on the grind for if. At 12:05 he says to the stage hand "I lost my tooth" and at 12:11 he says "it's gone!" And laughs.
He's from Texas. Don't worry, folks, all people fall in love with Stevie. Men and women. (Even get the hots) This man is plumbing in the spirit of all of us to our ears. A lot of people want to look at his drug problems, but his drug problems "had" the problems. The problems couldn't stick to him.
His guitar teacher got the node to bring him the white guitar this song was done for his number ones that he had to play the whiteone and had to tune it on stage
Stevie Ray Vaughan was born in Dallas Texas on October 3,1954, he also has a brother named Jimmie Vaughan who is a great guitarist In his own right and and a band called The Fabulous Thunderbirds but never achieved the success Stevie did. Jimmie got an electric guitar when he was 10 yrs old and Stevie was 7. Stevie loved the electric guitar so on Stevie Ray's 7th birthday he got a toy guitar with cowboys and Indians on it and even though it was a toy Stevie taught himself to play Wine Wine Wine and Thunderbird by The Night Caps amazing (on a toy guitar). Stevie said Jimmie got a new record of a Muddy Watters song and he was hooked on the Blues. When Stevie was 10 he joined a band called The Chantones, for his gig Jimmie gave his electric guitar to Stevie in 1964. After that Jimmie would give his guitars to Stevie when he got a new one, Stevie had that 1st guitar until his death on August 27,1990 at the age of 35. Stevie and his friend from school named Doyle Bramhall wrote this song for Stevie's friend and mentor Charlie Wirz who owned a guitar shop called Charlie's guitar shop in Dallas Texas. Charlie and Stevie's guitar tech named RENE Martinez put the guitar together for Stevie in 1983, the heel plate says "To Stevie Vaughan " More In 84 Charlie" Drummer Chris Layton and basses Tommy Shannon said Stevie had an amazing ear for music, they would think they sound great but Stevie would go to the AMP'S and adjust the sound and they would realize they were a little off. Stevie started with his guitar named Red but he had trouble keeping it in tune so he switched to the white one named Charlie, Charlie. In his school yrs Stevie joined alot of bands, he had joined a band called Krackerjack along with Double Troubles basses Tommy Shannon but quit when the singer wanted them to start wearing makeup on stage. In 1977 Stevie put a band together called The Triple Threat Reuve with Lou Ann Barton on vocals but when Lou Ann left on November 24,1979 Stevie took over on vocals. In 1980 Stevie changed the name to Double Trouble, Chris Layton the drummer joined The Triple Threat Reuve on September 10,1978, Tommy Shannon joined on June 23,1981, on June 7,1985 Reese Wynans joined Double Trouble on keys. Stevie also played drums and Saxophone, on the song The Sky Is Cryin written by Elmore James Clarence Lewis and Bobby Robertson recorded it in November of 1959 and released in April 1960 and Stevie played every instrument on the song. Stevie Ray's career only span 7yrs but he accomplished so much in that little time starting with his album Texas Flood that was released on June 13,1983. In December 13 1983 His Austin City Limits video was voted Guitar Player Magazine's Best New Talent, Best Electric Blues Guitar Player and Best Guitar Album with Texas Flood, Stevie Ray and Jeff Beck are the only 2 Triple Award Guitarist ever. On November 18,1984 Stevie won a W.C.Handy National Blues Award, Entertainer Of The Year and Instermental Of The Year, he was the first white man to win either. Stevie was the first musician to be inducted into The Austin Music Hall Of Fame in 1982, he was inducted into The Blues Hall Of Fame in 2000 and into The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 2015. He also won 5 Grammys, 10 Austin Music Awards and 5 W.C.Handy Awards. Even with all of that he never got to enjoy a #1 hit until after his death 4 months after his death with Crossfire. On August 26,1990 Stevie, Buddy Guy, Robert Clay and Jimmie Vaughan went to East Troy Wisconsin to open 2 shows for Eric Clapton at The Alpine Valley Music Theater, Jimmie said Stevie came down from his hotel room and told Jimmie and the band he had a weird dream that he died and he was looking down at all these people crying but even though he was dead he felt at peace. After Eric Clapton last song on August 27,1990 Stevie along with Buddy Guy, Robert Clay and Jimmie went on stage and played the last song Stevie would ever play Sweet Home Chicago by Robert Johnson. Stevie boarded a helicopter that crashed into the side of a mountain right after takeoff and everyone on board were killed instantly. After his death the family found out that the pilot had just failed his test on using the gages for that helicopter, he never flew at night and he never flew that helicopter before. For me STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN WILL ALWAYS BE THE GOAT and he is very much missed. I'm happy I found your channel, great reaction.

He switches guitars to the white one, named Charlie, after his friend who passed away and for whom the song is dedicated.
There was only one and there will only ever be one SRV
I am so impressed with you guys. ... I have seen this video a hundred times and most do not see the guitar change....
Talent
I love how he’s looking for the tooth he lost when he was playing with his teeth
My top 2 SRV songs... Life Without You and Tin Pan Alley with Johnny Copeland. You must check out the latter!

This song is about a guitar tech of his that died.. and he changed to the guitar that, that guitar tech had built for him
Johnny Copland was he's name. Texas Blues.
That was the state of Texas flag.....😊
Hence, Texas called the Lone Star State.
His guitar was not holding tune so he changed it.
Enjoying your channel. Please consider jj grey...Lochloosus live...11 minutes...beautiful
He switched to that guitar because it was partialy made by the guy hes singing about
He had no ego. The flag is the Texas state flag.

Nothing wrong with the guitar. He changes to his guitar named Charlie after the person this song is written for.
