- Introducing the 22” HHX BFMWORLD Ride! A collaboration with our friend Brian Frasier-Moore, this is a medium weight ride cymbal with a large, clear, cutting bell. Its proprietary HHX Tone Control hammering creates large, deep hammer marks that result in its stunning visual appearance and amazing tone!
Wow! Very cool collaboration. This cymbal definitely looks interesting. Will have to listen to more examples of it. Kudos to Sabian for always being so innovative!
I'm glad to see someone bringing back the "sound edge" that used to make its way onto some of the earlier Sabian cymbals (the Classic Ride comes to mind). This cymbal definitely looks interesting!
In other news, a bunch of prototype Sabians are sitting in West Coast Drum in Bellevue, WA; they're all models of different artists' prototypes and maybe one of the BFM cymbals is in that grouping? I went there over the weekend and heard a bunch of them and they all sounded fantastic.
I want one! I've been playing Sabian since I started, and I am a huge fan of BFM's drumming. Can't wait to check it out!
I'm mostly a rock and metal player, but I would really make a lot of use out of this! Added to the wish list
Sounds a tad different than an HHX Stage ride I had. Those two groove marks around the edge are interesting.
I see the people hand-lathing cymbals and that just looks like the coolest job ever. How can I do something like that?
Interesting.
No brilliant finish option?
Cool backstory, but I think it sounds like a cheaper, entry-level cymbal.
Love Sabian, but GOD I hate that new logo!!
Looks like graffiti, terrible.
We ALL DO!!!!!!!!!
