Thank you so much for watching and liking our videos ❤️❤️❤️
Just as an observation, its likely because they were impatient and the video is 10 minutes long for a fairly simple process
I love how you pray at the end :-)
It is SO helpful to see everything start to finish - from planting a seed to growing, harvesting, cooking and preserving. These videos are priceless for those of us who have never gardened. Thank you! (Beth)
+Ben Matthews
Thank you so much. We try to create videos to help the beginners get started and discover the deep peace in the garden. Thank you so much for watching.😍
Fresh Produce Is The Best Produce!!!!!!!
I’ve been watching your videos nearly every day since I found your channel. I love how you show things from start to finish, from prepping the garden, to planting, harvesting and even cooking. Most gardening channels don’t do that, and leaves you wondering how their garden really turned out. I’ve learned so much from watching you. And you two are just lovely to watch, always puts a smile on my face. Thanks again!
You are welcome, we try to constantly make better videos. Thanks for watching!
I could smell the squash and onions! Lol Thanks for such wonderful videos. I've really learned a lot about gardening by watching you.
+Terri Patterson
Awesome. Thank you so much for watching ❤️❤️❤️
When it's too hot to eat I love to take my assorted squashes, red onions, carrots, and rough grate them into a bowl and toss with Redwine vinegrette and eat as a cold snack. It's so refreshing. My husband loved it this way. I lost him in January 2022. 😔 he loved my gardens. I loved watching your video.
That does sound refreshing ❤️. I am so sorry for the loss of your dear husband. I pray for our Father to comfort you and heal your broken heart during your season of grief. May the happy memories of your husband wash over you each time you go out to your garden. Peace to you💔🙏
Prayers🙏🙏🙏
Yum! One of my favorite ways to have beautiful yellow summer squash!
+Ann Crum (MiniHomesteadNews)
Mine too! I love yellow squash!!!😍
That’s how all my grandparents cooked it in Alabama ❤ mine are growing now I’m harvesting some tomorrow morning. Love y’all.
Oh my goodness gracious! I'm a southern, Alabama country girl, born & bred and squash 'n onions was something me and my 4 siblings were raised on! Our Mama cooked it in a big cast iron skillet until it was beginning to get soft, then she'd add a little extra butter and let the cast iron do its magic by caramelizing them without scorching or burning. It's how I cooked it for my own kids and still do! And what goes on the plate beside it? A sliced home grown 'mater!
You made me hungry ❤️
I love your videos. Ie learned alot. The best part is that you always give thanks to whom our Blessing come from. Thank you.
Glad I found your videos. I just have a small garden. Enough for me to tend. Your tips will sure help. Bless both of you.

+Rodger Justin Suero
Thank you so much for watching! We cook up a mess and freeze it in one quart freezer bags. It is not as good as fresh cooked but tastes pretty good in January and February. Just a good way to put up squash. Anyway, thanks again for watching, have a blessed day ❤️❤️🐶
Oh, yum! Such an easy but great-tasting recipe. Have a blessed day!
You seem like such a sweet couple. God's love in evident in you both. God bless you!
Variation on your recipe I found and enjoy - Italian style: Cut squash and onions in skillet with butter or olive oil just like you did. Add a little zucchini also for color - does not taste any different than yellow squash in this recipe. Dash of oregano/not too much. Some salt/pepper. Then do not cover any, but cook on med-high, frequently but not constantly stirring, until just starting to brown a little. Have quartered fresh tomato ready to add at end; heat barely enough to warm. Very beautiful and tasty, with enough firmness in the veggies to be good but not under-cooked. Squash can be cooked longer before adding tomato if you especially like it soft. Can use iron skillet, but use lower heat or it will burn.
Hope other viewers share good squash recipes too - if the squash bugs don't get them, they are very prolific and it's good to have variety! I also like squash raw, with fancy crinkle cuts or uniform slices on a veggie tray with ranch dip. Doesn't get simpler than that and no fresh garden nutrition lost. Your sparkler white radishes would be very pretty and delicious on that tray too! Thank you for video and can't wait for more! Hope you're enjoying Florida!
they amaze me so much, everytime i watch a harvest video it makes so happy ☺
Y'all have put a smile on my face!!! What a joy to watch your videos. God bless the work of your hands, my dear brother and sister. :)
Love this garden-to-kitchen-to-table video. Nice to see the beauty of nature's bounty.
My mom sautéed yellow squash, zucchini, onions and potatoes. She layered it with salt and pepper dotted with butter! So good and a recipe I make for my family! Love your channel and all you both do and share!
You both are so awesome! Enjoy your videos! Feeling blessed!
+Eva Wilson
Thank you so much for your nice words😇
Love that cleaning station, Nancy! Showed my husband tonight and told him I wanted him to make me one. Have you thought about dehydrating some of your extra to use through winter? It's nice when you want some a little firmer and not real soft. I love using it in stir fry, and Italian dishes as well as soups. I also like to cut them lengthwise into slices and use them in place of pasta for a lasagna. 😊 Like you, I prefer the zucchini. I have also planted yellow zucchini, and zucchini fritters are my family's favorite. Thanks again guys for the videos!!
Yum 😋 i like my squash with potatoes and onions.
I can almost smell it. : ) I love all squashes.
+angela lowe
Me too Angela😍
What a nice garden and setup you have. Thank you for sharing. It's also nice to see you take it from picking to cooking.
Man I actually brought the phone closer to my face as you said take a smell. Lol
LOL. So many people say that❤️
Hollis & Nancy's Homestead I watched the video because I’m starting my own garden, I initially thought this variety was going to grow like a vine until I watched your video. I had to move the squash to a larger area with room to grow. And now once they start producing they will have plenty of room to stretch, Your video has saved me a headache down the road. Thank you!
Enjoy your garden this spring 👍
ME TOO hahahah
I learned from this video.
Ist time to plant this squash and I didn’t know when to harvest & how to cook them. Looking forward to learn from you guys! Have a blessed day!

+PHLORIDABOY
Thanks!! My favorite piece in the garden. I use it every day.
I am harvesting my first ever crock neck squash tomorrow. I live in Norway. Thanks for the timing of when too harvest.
Growing up my Dad had a pretty good size garden, and since I’ve been out of my parents house I’ve always wanted to try and start one. I figured I’d give it a go this year and try a few raised beds. I asked my dad for some tips and he gave me a few but he also pointed me in your direction. Boy am I glad he did, you’ve gotten me even more excited to try it out this year. You ought to do a “10 tips” or “15 tips” for beginners, like myself, that covers most aspects you can cover if you haven’t already.
Welcome to the joy and peace of gardening. Starting in March we will be releasing two videos each week. Many of the videos will give you some ideas and help you get your new garden set up. Best of luck to you with your garden. Ha e a peaceful week ❤️
I just fixed some squash like you did and that was delicious
Wonderful!
I've got Spring fever something bad. Stumbled on your videos researching raised garden beds. Binged at least 2 hours straight. Lol My dad loved fried squash. I was taught to slice it thin, dip it in some scrambled eggs and then toss it in to a mixture of flour, salt, pepper, and a little paprika. Then fry it in oil until Golden brown. So yummy
That is a great way to fry them. Nancy has a video on her fried squash that you may like to try. It’s on our channel. Check it out next time you binge watch❤️❤️❤️
My mouth is watering...
I would probably add GARLIC!
Thank you!
+Helen Hoverson
Oh yes, everything is better with garlic ❤️
Helen Hoverson My brother in law showed me how to make this, he also puts sliced zucchini in there too. We're both doing gardens this year, first time for my wife and I, and crook neck squash and zucchini are coming along pretty good....
Cut that zucchini in half the long way..scoop out the seeds. make up some spanish rice with hamburger and stuff the "zucchini boats". Toothpick the two halves back together. Bake in the oven in a pan with about an inch of water in it. I would bake at about 375° until the zucchini is tender when you poke it with a fork.
When it's done...slice into about 1 1/2" slices. Serve the slices on a plate with a dollop of sour cream. Mmmm good.
Have a blessed day!
+Helen Hoverson
My mouth is watering!!!❤️❤️
Helen Hoverson Oh my!
Gonna have to try that thank you!

Congratulations on your squash!!! Keep up the good work 👍👍.
Yum! I've got a squash casserole recipe you got me craving. Think I'll put it on our menu for next week.
:-)
I grew up eating nothing but fresh garden/farm raised vegetables and yellow squash was one of my favorites. I just harvested my first round of yellow squash and cucumbers yesterday. We like steamed squash and boiled squash. But my favorite way to cook squash is almost the same way you did in the video except we always add 2 or 3 strips of thin sliced bacon cut up in small pieces and about a tablespoon of sugar and we let it cook down a little more, closer to a caramelized state. That is one of my favorite dishes. The only dish I know of that is better is Okra and Tomatoes. Those two dishes are probably the main reason I go to the trouble to raise a garden. Although I truly love the taste of all the other fresh out of the garden vegetables.
MMM sounds great and thanks for sharing
THATS HOW WE DO IT TOO.
Just loving your videos....We just bought a place last year and this will be our first year gardening....Poor soil here so we have made raised beds and are using some containers as well....Thanks I am learning plenty from you wonderful videos.....Gai and Mike Boyd.
+Michael Boyd

+Organic World
😍😍😍👍👍👍
Ya'll are good people and I really love the videos. I put in 8 yellow squash and 8 zucchini plants in this year with 3 planted to a hill. Needless to say I'm gonna be giving away lots, putting up lots more and maybe even having my daughters sell some on the side of the road. I love squash and zucchini with potatoes baked in the oven together and then sprinkled with cheese!
Positive Vibes wow that's a lot of squash, haha 😅
Jason Leer better believe it! Lol we love squash and so do the neighbors. Either they love it or they don't want to hurt my feelings by saying no😂
Positive Vibes lol good luck growing them, have you got any flowers on them yet? It's still too cold where I live to plant mine outside but I'm looking forward to picking some fresh zucchini in a few months 😊
Jason Leer no flowers yet, they just started putting on leaves. I direct sow'd them and it seems like they're taking forever! Good luck with your garden:)
Positive Vibes Thanks, you too
Thumbs up for the cuteness!
I like to cook a little bacon for my squash and onions great video thanks
+Donald dralittlefarm
Oh yes!! Everything is better with bacon😍😍😍
Beautiful
Thank you
Hi there
Keep on cooking
Have a good day
🇺🇸👍👍👍👍👍😎🐥
Going to try your cooking method. For some reason I remember in the south they added a little water and cornmeal. My favorite way to cook summer squash: Slice into rounds. Slice a sweet onion then cut the slices in half. Put in a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil. Add a good bit of Parmesan cheese and a little black pepper. Toss well. Lay in a single layer on a large cookie sheet. Roast at 425 until tender and lightly browned, turning halfway through the cooking. Perfect!
Sounds great! Thanks for sharing! Have a blessed weekend
Great harvest! 2:50 "don't plant too many", heh. I lack confidence mine will be as productive. I will have to freeze some if they are. Last year I made my first feeble attempt at vegetable gardening after an absence of over three decades. But I got a late start on the season. This year I got started in February.
We all improve each year. What is important is that you enjoy your garden
you guys are my inspiration for gardening! and cooking what I grow. love your videos! Nancy is an amazing cook! I've been binge watching your channel! lol keep up the goodwork! ps I hope my squash comes out like this! how awesome.!!
