Wow! I have always liked BMW exteriors. They look amazing but they usually had plain and dull interiors imo. They have totally changed that this year! That steering wheel looks infinitely better and FINALLY a digital gauge cluster. Well done BMW 👍. Once the lease on my Lexus is up I will seriously take a test drive and may end up taking something like this home.

Hate to say it but MB already has the whole fragrance thing going on. It's all good though. Still a BMW driver/fan. Can't wait to see a 750 with all the bells and whistles. Especially the gesture controls. Great video Scott

That 7 series is a killer!
Actually you could argue that the short wheelbase isn't gone. It's just been replaced by the bigger, newest generation 5 series.

By the way, regarding that "perfumed cabin" idea - it's NOT an innovation if someone else brings it to market first! The S-class has had the "aromatic" feature since the 2013 model. BMW just needed three years to copy MB. At least MB kept the V12, and doesn't bundle the V8 and all wheel drive together. You can still get an S-class V8 WITHOUT the all wheel drive.
Perhaps someone could provide BMW a free geography lesson of what North America looks like.
I happen to own a 1988 BMW 750il...aka the second to last 7 series that looked sporty instead of swollen. After the E38 was discontinued, BMW decreed that the swollen look sells.

great review, beautiful vehicle. I just wish the next generation 5 series incorporates more, if not all, of the technological goodies that are in the 7. Saw the teaser video of the new E-class and seems it has adopted the same type of instrumentation display as its bigger brother, the S-class. So I hope BMW is inspired to do more or less the same with its 5 series. I currently own a 435i M Sport coupe and that thing is just a beauty. Looking forward to being part of the BMW family for a looooong time :)

Got a '16 640xi few months ago, and I really would like to trade it for 750i. But it wouldn't be rational. Great video, but makes me think more about 7 series. Also would I'd like to buy a car from you.

full size premium market buyers thought Merc Benz S class had best in class criteria per appointment but the new 7 series one ups it.
this and Panamera are market benchmarks. S Class is just too delicate even with a burly baritone exhaust acoustics
