  • Hello everyone,
We have a returning guest in our presence, our buddy Aaron brought out his awesome Toyota Celica and it did not disappoint. I have always liked the way this cars looked but I always thought they never received the support from enthusiast. Well, after speaking with Aaron, he confirmed that, but needless to say, he is very happy with his purchase. His last video was an EP3 and this time he brought the unwanted child in the Toyota line up lol I guess he has a type. I hope you all enjoy this awesome interview and thank you for letting me drive it Aaron, it was a lot of fun man. Thank you all for the continued support. #automotiveanatomy

The 2zz powered GTS Celica was soooooooooooooooooooo underrated.
Too bad it was always overshadowed by its VTEC rivals

Beautiful car, beautiful build! Tastefully done, not too crazy. Looks great, sounds great too. Interior on point as well. Still looks modern/current in 2023.

Love my celicas. I’ve got a yellow 03 a blue 02 and a white 00. All trd 6 speeds. My 03 is all stock besides Megan camber arms and a mishimoto radiator, got a trd exhaust and a Trd thermostat. My 02 is pretty much fully reworked, all oem+, fully rebuilt suspension with poly bushings, bc coils, hotchkis sway bars and Megan camber arms, engine was a brand new long block, with a built head, stage 3 cams, fidanza flywheel, mishimoto rad. Titanium springs and retainers comp stage 2 clutch, quaife lsd and mwr pulleys. Alpine speakers all around, and an alpine undder seat sub/ amp in the trunk, Sony double din. Beatrush bracing front and rear, carbon hood and trunk and lots of other goodies inside and out. Aem cai, The exhaust is a ppe mid pipe, ppe redliner 9k headers with a high flow cat and a c-one axle back. I’m sure I’m missing a bunch of stuff. And my 00 just has bc coils, mwr pulleys, and a ddpr intake manifold and bracing front and rear. Love these cars. Can’t get enough

mishimoto radiator is a downgrade fyi

    • @davidg9401

@@arcanevoid9199 no it’s not, its beefier, doesn’t have plastic ends that become brittle over time and break when trying to remove a hose, and mounts easily with oem fans, and has a lifetime warranty. Keeps my coolant temperature very low along with the trd thermostat. I’ve had it for about 4 years without any issues. Unless I’m doing mainly city driving, the cars temp usually stays below the middle line where a stock car would be at with the oem set up Operating temperature.

    • @arcanevoid9199

@@davidg9401 everyone goes on about plastic end tanks but the radiator in my 7th gen is 25 years old and was bent back into shape after an accident and still didn’t leak. keeping coolant temp lower than stock is not better, it has an optimal temp. your coolant temp not consistently reaching operating temperature is not a good thing. the mishimoto is just a rebranded ebay radiator, it weighs significantly more and there was no r&d involved in the sizing of it. 50mm (nearly 3x oem size) core thickness is ridiculous, all they did is measure the oem end tank thickness and make the core the same size

@@arcanevoid9199 I did originally want a koyo but they were discontinued, and ideally a c-one rad. But lord knows they’re impossible to find, and would probably be crazy expensive if I could find even a used one. But like I said I’ve had no issues at all with the mishimoto radiator and I’m more than happy with the purchase, I actually have it’s on all three of my cars, Not a single issue yet with the Mishi

@@arcanevoid9199 the nipple on the top right end literally snapped off on my car, and my brothers GTS. And I definitely agree with the weight, it is kind of heavy in comparison but I’m not really concerned, the weight is already super low on the car. The temperature is typically at operating temperature, but once I get above 65 and the air flow starts going pretty high, it jumps down One line. At the end of the day, I’m happy with it, end it has worked out great for me not one leak on any of my three cars

If you like them, don't worry about my opinion, but it's cringey seeing the stock 86 wheels on other cars. I much prefer the 5-spoke GT-S wheels on the Celicas.

BRO FIND A GTS VERSION TO REVIEW!!!!!!! AND if you're really lucky find one that comes with the OEM TRD action package body kit the GTS model not only looks but sounds AND IS way more aggressive with that 2zz engine compared to the 1zz that comes in the GT
2zz is like the K20 of Toyota
