    Wait... I've watched twice. Do these things self-adhere?, I mean... just by pressing them on the t-shirt will have them stay on the shirt?
    :)
    On what materials with it stay? Only cotton? Others, as well? About how many washes do they usually go through before coming off?

    • @TheRhinestoneWorld
      @TheRhinestoneWorld  4 роки тому +1

      Hot-fix rhinestones have to be heat pressed in order to adhere to anything. If you take care of them, the stones shouldn't fall off. I recommend turning the shirt inside out, or hand washing to preserve them as long as possible. Here is our Fabric Guide: indd.adobe.com/view/6452e0de-4c24-43d1-b1cd-6fef0970c1fb

    Ok, when you are brushing the rhinestones, how does it flip them over? I mean, seems the stone side would stick down just as easily as the flat side. You make it look so damn easy!

    • @TheRhinestoneWorld
      @TheRhinestoneWorld  8 років тому +3

      Hey Tina!
      It's because it is so **** easy! :) When you brush the stones, if they fall in upside down, there is a gap between them and the flock. Because there is a gap, any stone that comes along that is right-side up will scoot it out of the way and replace it, thus falling in correctly. Because it is in correctly, there will be no gap because the flat side is down. :)

    I have a couple questions I hope someone can answer them for me because I really wants to start doing rhinestone transfers. I have a cameo 3 and heat press and I usually make vinyl shirts
    1. Are the materials needed for rhinestone transfers • Magic Flock • Rhinestones • Rhinestone transfer tape • Brush ??
    2. Is Magic flock what's to be used always, and what is it actually called? Like, is it a type of vinyl? Is it just for rhinestone transfers?? I don't really understand what's to be used for the cutting or what i should search for
    3. When you spread the stones on the template, are they supposed to be facing down with the flat side up?? or the other way around?
    Thank you!

    • @TheRhinestoneWorld
      @TheRhinestoneWorld  8 років тому +7

      Hello Teshia,
      1. Yes, those are what you need!
      2. We recommend using magic flock to do the stone templates. It is not actually vinyl and it specifically made for stone transfers. You would use that material in your Cameo and cut it that way.
      3. They should be facing flat side down. They will be forced to face that way and will not brush in otherwise.
      - TRW Richard.

      Hello,
      Stones should last on you shirt for quite sometime and withstand many washes. We do recommend washing the shirt inside out with no fabric softener on a gentle cycle and your stones will last beautifully. Unfortunately, stone do not stick to fabrics like denim. I hope this helps and let us know if you have any other questions!

    I just bought my first silhouette cameo 3 and your videos have taught me everything i know thus far!
    question: why does my piece of vinyl slide all over the place when I set it on top of my cutting mat & load it into the machine to be cut? my machine starts cutting but the vinyl moves around so it does not cut properly.

    I have a new cameo 3. I ordered the rhinestone kit so I could get some of my templates cut. Is it just the silhouette brand that gunks up my blade to where it has not successfully cut through a single design. It'll cut half perfectly then no longer cuts. I have tried pausing in the middle to clean the residue and build up off the blade, I just can't always tell where it stops cutting until its to late. Help please! So tired of wasting time and material. If I order magic flock will I have the same problem?

      I know the Maxx has the interchangeable platens, but can it accommodate the sleeve/pants leg platen? if so, do you have a video showing? thx

    How would I create the same product with non-heat fix rhinestones?

    • @TheRhinestoneWorld
      @TheRhinestoneWorld  7 років тому +1

      Hey Madison,
      The best way in doing that at that point would be do the same process up until heat pressing, and while the stones are on the hot fix tape, put your E6000 glue on the back of all of your stones, and then press it down firmly so they stick to your shirt. :)

      Standard vinyl width is 12 inches across. For garments the size needed can vary. Here's a great chart to help: therhinestoneworld.com/design-sizing-chart

    do the design have to be vectorize before I can use it to cut or can I just pick any design out my computer and the rhinestones will follow the path

    • @TheRhinestoneWorld
      @TheRhinestoneWorld  7 років тому

      Hello,
      Yes, in all of the designing software, in order to fill a design with rhinestones or edit that design, it must be a vector image first.

      Morenasa75,
      It would help us out more knowing how serious you are about it? If you just want to start small, a crafter starter kit might be better for you. If you want to start out big, you may want to go with one of the business starter kits. I'm linking you to both of these. :)

      Unfortunately you have to purchase at least the Designer Edition of Silhouette Studio in order to unlock the rhinestone features. You can find that on our website below!
