That is really a great bag. I got it a while back when you first introduced it in a video. It has become my go to bag for different setups and this is another great idea. Thanks for the video!!
Great video Bob. I am going to order one of the bags that you suggested. I went back and watched your ground radial video that you linked I had watched it about a year ago and ordered all the parts but never put it together. I had gotten the permanent CHA Stinger kit a few weeks ago but could not get the SWR below 2.5, so I think I am going to try your setup. Thanks, Jim
Jim, wondering if you use a tuner? Setting up the ground plane and achieving 2.5:1, I'd hit my tune button and go. But if don't use a tuner, then I understand to keep the experiment going until you achieve something under 2:1.
1:49 Nitinol is a titanium alloy. The funny thing is that it comes back to its shape by heating, so if bad SWR means heating up, that is a self-tuned whip, I guess.
Yes the bag is no good. I also have the full antenna kit which I like but bag tore apart within couple months and couldn't get another 1. So it fits in a harbor freight go box. Great video. Kg7fxn
Hello sir, I have an ic705 and Xiegu x125b, the nominal maximum output power of x125b is 100w, I think this should be the ssb mode, have you tested the maximum output power of DV/CW/FT8 mode? Regarding the issue of cutting corners raised by some people on the Internet, I asked xiegu, and they claimed that the power amplifier tubes inside are still two rd100s. I look forward to your reply, thank you
I see you posted this question in my Facebook group for the XPA125B. That's where the experts hang out, and I hope they provide the guidance you are looking for.
Interesting Gear and let us realize how many things we need to do for producing the good equipment for your guys!
Thank you for your sharing, Bob
Thanks for the video, Bob. That was my store-bought and my first POTA antenna. Nice video. See you out there. 73 de Bill
