    finally a video that actually shows you how to take notes instead of talking about it! thank you ❤️
    not one highlighter, colored pencil, or calligraphy, in sight and she absolutely nailed it!!! 👏

    This is the best video on how to use Cornell Note Taking method while reading a text/reading/article. 💖 Thank you very much!

    I would definitely take notes AFTER you read the text. It is much easier that way. If you try to read and do notes at the same time, you run the risk of getting a headache! :)

    This is the best video on explanation of this method as it used a real example to demonstrate. It also showed that first read the material, underline &/or highlight ideas in it then later on make notes to keep them with you forever. Another good thing was noting down reference of the material at top of page in a concise manner. I didn’t find it in other videos. Ma’am you’ve done a superb job. It helped me a lot. 👍🏼👍🏼

    Love these videos...bring back
    Memories.....we used this method in my high school and I used it in my history and science classes...staples sold notebook paper and notepads of the Cornell method which helped me...as did not have to draw lines...like to see what's happening now...glad to find my school.was in the know.

    The 3 blank lines is an excellent idea, that is the last thing stopping me from a making cornell notes. It fortifies progress and improvement, which I can write in pencil and improve overtime, while keeping my main note before class discrete. Thank you!

    Cornell notes typically use a lot of paper! You are right! The payoff is increased comprehension and retention. My advice is to recycle some other things after you use ten sheets of paper for Cornell notes to even things out!

    My college teacher used your video to help us with doing our notes. Not only did you do it on wolves which is one of my favorite animals but you also very clearly stated how to do this simply. Using a subject I really enjoy, wolves, also helped me pay more attention and found this very interesting. Thank you so much for helping us with doing Cornell Notes, I found this to be extremely helpful. I also really liked your voice (sorry that sounds weird) it was smooth and clear to understand. I wish my voice would sound like that instead of an eight year old with a plugged nose XD, which is sad cause I wish to be a voice actor for my videos or other's videos. Anyway, amazing video and keep up the great work! (though this is 5 years old XD. hope you don't mind this random msg years later)

    what do you do for longer passages? I have long chapters of 10-20 pages to read for psychology, should I make one page of notes for each chapter or split it up into sections?

    • @antoncrane8226
      @antoncrane8226 8 років тому +14

      Avery,
      It depends what you need to do with the material. If you can read it, understand it, and remember it without taking detailed notes on the entire chapter, choose only the sections that are hardest or most important. However, if it's necessary to take Cornell notes on the whole chapter, do it! It is time-consuming, but it will help! when you're done, have a nice bubble bath.

      I've heard in several other videos that it is good to do this when taking lecture notes as well, but when you're in the actual lecture, only fill in the area on the right and then fill in the left section and summary after the lecture as a way of solidifying learned knowledge
