This particular clean up was unusually entertaining because of the ongoing help from the Feline Assstance League and a treasure hunt with finding all that cash EVERYWHERE! On a serious note I'm glad the lady reached a point in her recovery where she could ask for help...and you were there to help her. You are an Angel!
My grandmother used to do odd jobs when she was raising her 7 kids. When she was a housecleaner she found it hard to clean houses all day then come home to clean her own home. I’m sure it’s something similar here. Great work on giving this person their home back!
Unfortunately it’s not as easy as Barbie coming in and cleaning. As a child of two parents who were hoarders who had depression and PTSD, she would need ongoing therapy. This is a mental illness a disease. It’s like taking all the alcohol out of the house of an alcoholic and saying “well, I hope they don’t drink anymore and get help” It’s a long hard road, but with willpower I’m sure she will conquer this phase in her life. I’m rooting for you!
Sometimes it's easier to clean other peoples houses than their own. Also some people struggle to do at home what they do all day for work, for example if you cook all day you might not want to come home and cook more.

Oh Barbie, what a wonderful transformation on the bedroom and the entire apartmant. This was a huge cleaning. So time consuming and no wonder this lady felt so overwhelmed. You gave her back her home. I wish her continued healing. Random Johnny and spiderman were an added giggle bonus along with kitty fishing for scrub daddy. I will watch the long video and it may get me up and moving on some if my own cleaning projects.
I have so much respect and awe for you, Barbie. That mess would overwhelm most people, but you got stuck in and transformed it! I really hope this woman can sort out her issues and keep her home clean for her sake and for her cats. All that dust, dirt and fur everywhere was a real health hazard. There seem to be some interesting things going on psychologically there. Depression and hoarding maybe, but also some kind of shopping and money disorder. Leaving all that money just lying around everywhere, and even though she urgently needs a new bed and sofa, there is tons of cat food and small personal items like makeup that are just left in the filth on the floors. Interesting! I'd love to know why. Anyway, thank you to you and your hubby for sorting out this place for her. x
