Best version of this tune by far. Also, the best track they ever did imo.
kind of agree, always gives me goosebumps live
@@jiltedgenerator apparently, when it was sampled in most of England and Wales it was a dry day
It must feel godly to be able to play around with the DNA of such a classic. In my opinion, EITP, and its various versions, is Liam's finest work.
Every floppy disc in the place, *_let’s go_*
amazing to hear Liam's samples and sequence of the original Everybody in the Place!!
been meaning to play around the w30 for ages. Gives me goosebumps hearing it on this machine.😀
This is history, thank you!
That’s so DOPE! I envy you having such a priceless piece!!!!
Liam Howlett reprogram his boards they came in standard format. Check out the video Liam Howlett's new keyboard. He show's how to reprogram a keyboard.
Awesome work !
I own the CASIO FZ - 1 .... with 2 mb .... 16 bit 😁
This is gold! Thanks!
Thank you
such a wonderful machine.
Pure 1990style, the hottest beats came from these limitations. Though the question is were there any limits to a rave spirit teenager with aspirations... No doubt the right man with the right toy. Create a backup of this floppy:)
+stoffenl Backed up 3 times :)
awesome!
Hunter S Thompson typed out the entire manuscript from Hemmingways 'A farewell To Arms' and 'The Great Gatsby' as an unpublished author, just to see how it felt to have the words flow from his fingers. I am getting Hunter vibes right now. Drop the samples!!! PLS!!!
Very Cool.
Cool mix, cool quality samples. Need high quality remastered version this mix.
This original is a much cleaner version than vinyl! It's bad that you can not record a track in digital format.
Wow
That's dope
I wish Roland would make another 12 bit sampler keyboard again no company is making sample keyboard s any more it’s a shame
Have you got other floppies? You should upload the data to a cloud site or something and post it here
I really want to make music like this. I have a couple of questions, is the w30 connected to a mixing desk or just an output? Also if I am looking to make this style of music would you recommend m getting the w30, I use ableton but can't get the same sorta gritty sound. Is it worth me getting one? Thajs for your help dude keep rockingggg
Use a tracker software, it works the same and you get the grittiness... VERTICAL COMPOSITION, UP DOWN, and not modern left to right
So...the samples are on the floppy disk? or the timing for the sampled voices? or both...?
supercrapnstuff11 samples and the track itself
I guess since i have you here, do you know what insturments were used to create liam's early music? i've seen your TB-303 video that was prodigy certified.
For example, i do know all of the demo tape was roland w30 (so the whole demo tape is just this machine) but what about the remixes of the notable songs like charly and this? (respectively the alley cat mix and fairground mix) are those composed on this?
supercrapnstuff11 you've probably vistited this site before, but if not , take a look. Shows a detailed list of Liam's equipment used over the years.
theprodigy.info/equipment/
@@BillehBobJoe That famous Charly sound is a variation of Eric Persing's "What The?" preset on the Alpha Juno keyboards, the same as Dominator and Mentasm: ua-cam.com/video/KaXClqxFtT8/v-deo.html
where did the samples come from did you make it yourself?
Samples were given to the owner by liam howlett along with the w30
Any chance of getting a copy of the disk. I would pay?
Sorry I cannot sell or give any copies out unortunately
@@jiltedgenerator okay, thought it was worth asking. Enjoy it as well as all your other equipment. Saw your instagram post and blew me away
0:29 what is the name of the sample?
Probably Mayday- The Dance ;)
Any ideas where the drum loop/sample came from?
Gotta be James Brown.
James Brown - Give It Up Or Turnit A Loose (Remix) [In The Jungle Groove, 1986]
though it was resampled from the track below
Trouble - I Get Hype (Instrumental) [I Get Hype, 1988]
@@TheNGVirusYT thankyou dude 🙏
Yo be sure to create a digital image of those disks!
Wouldn't know where to begin
@@jiltedgenerator I used to have a W30 but I don't remember if the floppy format could be read under linux, but I guess you don't have a PC with a floppy drive either. I think it was possible to load the disk on the W30 and then put a fresh disk in and write a copy from memory. There is also this device kryoflux.com/ and this software mcgintys.net/diskfactory/ and you can check on this page practicaltechnologyforarchives.org/issue2_waugh/
But yeah, come to think of it, it *is* pretty hard. If you _are_ able to make a copy you can send it to me and I will try to make a digital image...
@Master-Grief 117 thanks. I've made a few backup disk copies. But I'll ask the kind of people you mentioned about digital copies
Wait why do you have this 😂😂😂
So primitive sequencies, i don't understand why you call him genious?
Goa Goa Primitive?
Yes, very simple, elementary
Goa Goa Why did you search for Liam Howlett videos if you're not a fan?
Dude, it's 1991.
All ingenious is simple
