You obviously miss the point. That's what was incredibly a blessing to have to not worry about the abillity to break the linear custom of expression. It's the raw pure essence of it. I can tell you missed out on that moment.
No thats just how every recording of your favourite artist sounds without instruments. Except Celine dion which sounds like crap even in full orchestra mode
One of my favourites. Always thought it was "you're reading in a laundry room". I imagined someone sitting in a laundromat, reading a book and having a kind of existential crisis... trying to figure out what they want over what they "should" do, knowing that latter is clearly a denial of who they really are. But thanks to vocal isolation I can hear there's no reading involved... oh the joys of Kurt's lyrics. Endless permutations, even without the confusion over what's actually being said. Been listening and enjoying for over 30 years and still finding new meaning. Amazing stuff.
It's why they recorded In Utero in almost only 1 go, the album was almost already ready and all they had to do was rehearse ! You're very well summarizing the instantaneous feeling of this album.
I think the lyrics are for the beginning are “If you save your self, you will make him happy. He’ll keep you in a jar and you’ll think you’re happy, he’ll give you breathing holes and you’ll think you’re happy. He’ll cover you with grass and you’ll think you’re happy now.
holy shit i just discovered you can hear the music start early on this video and also the mastered song. can’t hear the lighter flick and the “i’m ready now” tho :(
Kurt didn't have any vocal training never really learned how to scream "correctly" without hurting himself. Apparently he blew out his voice on the first take every time recording nevermind 😂🤷
The Wedge Listen to Audioslave like a stone lyrics only then because that is pure perfection. But for me Kurt is my favourite vocalist of all time, I like his raw sound. :)
"I'm ready now" flicks the lighter...that was cool to hear.

Do any of you know what quotation marks are? It's pretty clear he's saying Kurt can sing and people who say he can't are wrong

Good job
God how did that not hurt his voice. Or did it?
it takes a few years to practise but then it won't hurt
It did towards end of his life he was diagnosed with laryngitis and doctor advised him to change his voice
How do you think metal singers feel lmao
Kurt didn't have any vocal training never really learned how to scream "correctly" without hurting himself. Apparently he blew out his voice on the first take every time recording nevermind 😂🤷
He used to sing his max on recording and end up hurting the voice. Live he was much more concious about not pushing the limits.
yyes!
Un crack
I found out how to do his vocal cords

damn by itself without any effects, Kurt's voice sounds pretty average.

that goes for most vocalists
im gonna agree but his skills as a musical artist are fucking incredible and it’s punk it’s not meant to be above average
Beautiful!
