So I accidentally turned on"good morning america"this morning and they had reporters actually weeping at the life-altering event of seeing an eclipse wtf has happened to this world?
Didn't seem to bother our cattle here at home but it did change the behavior of the deer the way they were coming out onto the fields to Graze yesterday afternoon
we all stood out front of the shop at Chuck's- it got so dark you had difficulty seeing the guy standing next to ya. There were a couple hot air balloons across the valley and they lit up everytime they gave them the flame. Overall pretty damn cool!!
Thumbs up Andy! Where we are in florida it wasn’t cloudy but the moon only covered enough of the sun to make sun sun look like a yellow crescent moon and didn’t get dark at all. Thanks for this one!!!
What was the % category? We were not far from the path, and in the 97% bracket. The changes were small, just enough to turn on the day/night lights. At 97% I was expecting the skies to be darker. All of which is to confirm the universe is one of order, not randomness and chaos. The exactness of timing, location, etc. confirm.

Its was clear for us to see 95%. A friend has a house near Amsterdam that overlooks the thru way. There was a constant line of lights headed east for 4 hours plus. looked like 95 in NY city.
Were the cows moooved? Reset of the Utter. Sorry- too easy. What was weird was that Carbondale, Il was in the direct pass last time also. X marked the spot!
Did you notice any reaction on the animals? Maybe I'm reading too much into it but the calfs in the background seemed getting more quiet. I experienced a partial one in Madrid many years ago and I remember the sudden chill, the birds quit singing and the strange difuse multiple shadows like the effect from multiple spotlights.
Thanks Andy. You verified that not everyone lost their mind during the solar eclipse. All the hosts on the weather channel were hooting and hollering when the eclipse started like it was some pagan holiday or something. I think I know why the weather channel people were celebrating so much--They finally got something right. Crappy day to get a tan!

Even with the cloud cover we had in Rochester it was awesome and dramatic. The birds even stopped chirping for a while.

Andy I was up in Greenville Maine yesterday afternoon and I was completely dark not a cloud in the sky.
Pretty cool we didn't have any clouds in Florida, but the sunlight only went down maybe about half.

Here in SE Michigan it was 98%,some thin clouds. Didn't get very dark,everything was like looking through polarized sunglasses.
