I am forever impressed with how your farm is able to wear out equipment and rebuild it twice. You get all the good out of it. Nicely done Andy! Others can learn from you!
Never thought I wanted to crawl into one of them manure schooners but yours was cleaner on the inside than a lot of them I see on the outside. You're an intrepid man and make the work look straight forward. Glad you made it out safe.
Remember working with straw all day then taking the next day and a half blowing dark snot out my nose...glad I never had the pleasure of doing that with dried shit!! Great video as always Andy. Thanks for sharing!! Jim.
What baffles me is your ability to free hand cut stuff with a plasma cutter, and it comes out like a plasma table cut it lol.. if I cut that baffle out freehand it would look like a huge stop sign. Maybe I gotta cut down on the coffee. Awesome video. Nice job on that one that probably sucked being inside that tank for days.
Very impressed with that tank job Andy. Most owners would have passed the job off at some point. Christian is quite the character and you seem to enjoy his commentary. Tell him glue who don't cry about that glue question.
Andy Love Nate’s comments regarding every project. One of days he will surprise all of us with a thought for the day. Great videos I have learned so much from you and your team.
Spring has definitely sprung there on the farm with all the projects going on. Think you'll get another 5 years on that tanker? I saw the Tempered stamp on the steel plate, just curious how much that helps against the corrosion as far as longevity. Appreciate what you folks do every day.🤙
Great video, Andy. Last tank that I had, I sent to Diller to rebuild. I didn't have the help, knowledge, nor equipment to do it myself. Tank is still hauling 💩 for the great people I sold it to. And I call my unshaven look "cover crop" because I let it grow Nov-Mar.😂
That tanker job looks like the most grim job a man could do. Having worked on many a cow muck rotted milking parlour, yard scraper, cubicle house scraper, cubicle frame and much spreaders I can appreciate the nasty environment you are working in. That tank looks like it was originally galvanized judging by the condition of the inside. I know something for sure, no matter how well you clean stuff with a grinder, when its rotted with cow muck, galvanized or not, it is the nastiest welding job a man can weld. All that dust and fumes, got that T Shirt too. Takes a committed man to weld inside a slurry tank or other muck spreader. Most farmers would swap that tanker in for a replacement. Top respect for a nasty job well done!
As I watch your videos progress, I can tell that you have been watching a lot of the farming. With duffy ag 2023/2024 . It shows in the quality of your work. before Duffy started providing you with instructional videos on all aspects of farming and repair. To be honest You guys were struggling a little lost and now now you're found. Thank You Chris for helping Handy
Andy every time i heard you say material for what goes in to the Spreader I kept thinking Michael Bloomberg breath. AKA crap. Just saying. Another great video.
I had a car towed to my shop. Honda Accord. They were driving down the road and it died. They had it towed home. Replacees battery it ran for 15 minutes and shut off. They replaced the alternator because they found it wasn't charging. Still ran till battery dies and shut off. They towed it to my shop. I found someone had welded solid pipe where flex pipe was. This worked on the oxygen sensor wires. They had broken off and shorted the fuse out. This is exactly why when someone calls and says how much to replace the alternator or any other part for that matter i tell them i don't replace parts without diagnosis first
Most glue doesn't stick to the inside of the bottle because it needs air in order to set. If you leave the cap off of the bottle or as the bottle gets closer to empty so that more air is inside the bottle, the glue will get stickie
You may want to look into a diffetent type of steel that is not much more than a36 look into a588 it has a chemistry that prevents rusting away.they use it in bridges and metal poles and they let it rust to create a protection coat
I could smell that from Here in Central Wi. I understand the Square & Round holes in the Baffles. But are the little horizontal slits For ? Liking the Growth Andy. When I retired at 62 I tried to grow a beard AGAIN and have been happily surprised how nice it filled in.. Thanks Mike M.
It's due I think to the viscosity of glue plus the bottle is made of a super slick plastic like polypropylene plastic same plastic that we make milk bottles out of.
If you happen to enjoy some of your facial features, your jawline, for example, a goatee will expose and accentuate that jawline well. If a goatee is maintained well, it can also broaden the appearance of your chin, which presents a more masculine image.
Andy, it is none of my business, but how many hours a week does Nate put in? He is always there! He does have a sense of humor, just not confident on camera.
How many of your staff asked for a pay rise once they found out you were in a steal tank Andy? In my place i would have had a plate welded to the exit hole while i was in side.
Cow shite is acidic. It will burn through painted steel in short time and galvanised steel in a little longer IF not washed off every time the implement or tool has been near the stuff.
@@FarmingFixingFabricating Been a few years since I've stick welded, but 6011 is still the go to for good penetration and over-welding.👌 What size were you running?
So you say there is no air in the bottle 🤔 what’s in the top of the bottle as no glue bottles are full to the very top of 🤷🏻♂️😉😂🤣 that’s space has air in the bottles 😉😂
How are you going to weld the inside front of the circle on the very front of the tank to pressurize it unless you just going to weld the outside and call it good but I'll tell you I wouldn't want to be the one running the goddamn thing when it blows up from all the back pressure inside the tank for blowing up the cow shit
Well the farm only gets a little % of that Milk price in the store. It is not much and doesn’t change much for pay to the farmer. The milk plant is who is making the big profit from milk. If Andy only had let’s say 100 cows. Himself or any farmer would never be able to make it in the business. Just like Andy is basically forced to do the repairs himself to stay in business with the profit he is given. If he paid for repairs to someone else. He would be in debt for life.
I am forever impressed with how your farm is able to wear out equipment and rebuild it twice. You get all the good out of it. Nicely done Andy! Others can learn from you!

Andy, that manure tanker job baffels me. Good video.
There's me thinking somebody has gotta work in a stinking manure tank. What a relief to see the tanks been flushed. Good oya Andy.
Never thought I wanted to crawl into one of them manure schooners but yours was cleaner on the inside than a lot of them I see on the outside. You're an intrepid man and make the work look straight forward. Glad you made it out safe.
I think every person on earth should have to weld in a crap tank just to appreciate being out of the crap tank. Lol
Trash trucks are worse
Iv seen 3 of these 10k gallon spreaders connected to make a train pulled by a Steiger out in the field
Never seen the inside of a manure tank before pretty kool

It was defiantly nice to get the job done
I’m glad you weren’t baffled by the Nuhn tanker. 😂. Where are your expert welders; Sarah and Alex? They don’t like welding in there? Great work!
so you washed the tank "before" you fixed it !... Good job Andy 😆
Very impressed with that tank job Andy. Most owners would have passed the job off at some point. Christian is quite the character and you seem to enjoy his commentary. Tell him glue who don't cry about that glue question.
Hi Andy !

That baffle job is one of those projects that about half way through it I would have regretted ever suggesting doing it.

That's nuts, that is a $150 part at most.
Nice job
Great video you will get another 20 years + out of that tank plus the upgrade tell Christian the glue in bottle is sealed in bottle not open to air 👍🚜
…and just like the magical thermos bottle; keeps hot things hot and cold things cold! But how does it know the difference ???
Christian is quite the ham. Nice growth you got going there Andy...very distinguished

Great video. Getting the projects done.
Air quality perfect😂😂😂😂

Nice welding job !! I trust that you grabbed the red shop rag on the floor of the tank at timestamp 39:40
What a great repair job

Look who climbs out of the.. 24:58 unshaven. 😁
No need to fall I watched you fall from a ladder kicking out when you were putting tarp on a trailer
Lol you think he still has that ladder he threw across the shop?
2👍👍 from me on the rebuilding of the tank.
Nate is my spirit animal
Dam Andy the new face hair reminds me of the rear view mirror object is not as smart as it appears 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Great job on the camera Christian
Thanks for brining us along Andy on another farm repair. 💩💩💩
in Louisiana the Sasquatch is called the "Roux-ga-roux"

Here’s my thoughts. If it’s on the ground or in a pit it’s manure. If you get it on you it’s DooDoo or, Dookie would be acceptable also.
kinda like working inside a submarine

But glue does stick to a milk jug 💁♂️😉😂
It looks like John Deere is snap together pieces that way it's easier to replace
that kid sounds just like the old man !
Is the escape hole big enough ! Ha dont mind me, im just a 72 year old coot spending my last days enjoying you and youtube ! Take care and be safe !
Nice work Andy. Your alternator couldn't you rebuild it? I've done mine and starters also. Enjoyed your video have a great day.
Yes but cows would get hungry waiting
Nuhn 15000 gal quad steer tanker would be a good fit on 9620,
7018 or 6013 or something else?
Way to be safe with FR (fire/flame resistant) shirt
Your farm is very impressive! I see young heifers but no Bulls.
Where do you keep the Bulls?
Don’t have any bulls
Instead of being a Sasquatch how about sassy short term good job guys I'm glad u let it dry out so it is safe to work in take care guys
Looks like that tank could use a good cleaning
👍
All this so someone can have milk for their breakfast cerial ......
Once the baffles are outa nuhn tank u gotta a year or two before the tank itself is shot
Check in with me in two years then
@@FarmingFixingFabricating lol always watching 👍
Christen is great. Andy did the Easter Bunny bring you your new facial look?
Standard squirrel cage alternator, why do they all have to be different for different applications?
Amperage/space requirements.
Don't really matter if the welds are shity 😅
Does Nathan ever get excited 😅
Are you using AR plate for the baffles?
No
🇨🇦
This is a stupid question I know but do all alternators generally put out the same charge?
Same voltage but different amps
@@FarmingFixingFabricating ah cool. Thanks.
Nate speaks!!🤣🤣

This time of year around 65
Saw the new Freightliner you have coming. Really nice!
How many of your staff asked for a pay rise once they found out you were in a steal tank Andy? In my place i would have had a plate welded to the exit hole while i was in side.
I had cutting tools inside the tank
Andy I didn't think cow shit was that harsh on the inside of the shit spreader but guess I was wrong.
Cow shite is acidic. It will burn through painted steel in short time and galvanised steel in a little longer IF not washed off every time the implement or tool has been near the stuff.
I have a question for you. Why does shit smell so bad?
7018 or 6013 or something else?
6011
thanks to a real-world welder from a newbie@@FarmingFixingFabricating
@@FarmingFixingFabricating
Been a few years since I've stick welded, but 6011 is still the go to for good penetration and over-welding.👌
What size were you running?
Why do the baffles wear out but the tank itself is still good? Material thickness?
Corrosive cow poop eating at it from both sides.
where's the radiator?
Behind it
The answer to that is easy the glue requires air there is no air in the bottle learned something new today didn’t you 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Wild it from the inside to
Thought you had a new guy with a hairy chin.😊
That looked like a real Shitty job .
Hey Andy ,are you going to invite anyone to the eclips. Lol pa farmer here
how in the world did you discover the old baffles were in bad shape given the fact its got wet material in it
You’d feel it behind you pulling
I’m curious- does Nate not have a thought of the day because it’s against community standards or are you just catching him in resting brain mode??😂😂😂
His thoughts may not be acceptable to UA-cam... 😂
Nice video, nice semi, loose the hair
What hair?
On your chin
