Medusa in particular people have been waiting for years. She didn't even get anything for Heaven's Feel if I recall. Euryale and Stheno got animation updates.
Taira is easily one of my favorite units over on JP servers and for that alone I'm gonna pull her again. Also I freaking love her second ascension outfit with the blindfold lol
Ah yes, my #1 waifu roll for 2023. Love her design, lore, animations, everything. She can ride me like she rode that tsuchigumo anyday. Might go for np 2 as all the other 5 stars I want this year can make do with np1. As always, great video!
A cool NP buff would be if she successfully removed buffs, she could apply a 3 turn %20 quick and arts resistance down that activates before damage. This would make removing buffs more impactful while improving her raw damage and her two most used card types
She looks good and seems to be well put together. But I'm more than happy with that NP3 Jalter if I need to crush some Rulers. Yeah Taira is well rounded enough to be used in a variety of situations but in terms of single target quick...I'll just use Melt, Kama, or maybe Okita if I'm feeling like Sabers. Glad she was treated well here though.
In my opinion, Kagekiyo's basically a much stronger, premium version of Lobo, they can do pretty similar things in the broad sense but she has the higher ground in terms or rarity, a really good gimmick, genuinely insane survivability and synergy with her deck type that effectively alleviates the strain Avengers get with crits generally speaking. Let's not forget the small changes to Quick down the line as well as the new brave chains, as a soloist she just shreds through everything even harder with these.
I struck out HARD on Muramasa (RIP 400 quartz) but SCORED with Avenger Ushi. I beat the challenge quest as a ritual for summoning & got her on my 14th pull when I only had 60 saint quartz. Thank God that redeemed my luck. 100% the event a character comes from seems to give me better luck so I wait to roll until I beat it
I finally rolled Abigail! I can finally pinch her cheeks at my leisure. Although I hate myself for not making sure I had the ascension materials required to fully ascend her.
Mature Ushi is def waifu material along with VA by Saori Hayami. The fact that she remove buff prior to her NP damage is insanely good. Her kit work so well with one another just made her a must pick up for 2023 i.e. 4 turn CD on stackble guts; 100% crit up for 3 turns alone with ways to buff her star gain on top of 30%np battery; hit base evasion. Not to mention one of the most badass NP animation in FGO. this year is not kind to wallet kun. RIP.
Preparing myself for her, once i get her, I'll take her to lvl100 right away, i saved a lot of resources just for her❤️✨ Really good luck to those rolling for her next year✨

Srarring in December, I've consistently pulled the new 5*s, at NP2, on my first 30 pull. Vitra, Ibuki, Murasaki, Doumen, Muramasa, S.Ishtar. I'm praying my luck holds out two more weeks.
as someone with a grailed ushi she deserved all the headpats, if I wasn't going to used every single grail I saved for Mura I wouldve forsure max grail ushi off the bat :') wallet about to bleed I swear LOLOL
I think what makes me hesitant is that Kagekiyo has some good stuff that is held back by lore skills. Thirst for Vengeance requires so much effort to proc it isn't worth it, if the guts worked like how Rasputin's guts works than maybe it would make sense, but as is you have to either run her solo, which isn't ideal outside of getting the guts to work or using her cards only, but if you do that you can't really stack the guts. Then you have bonus damage against Genji, even though currently there is no Genji ruler so it making up for that by increasing the neutral damage you'll be doing against that small roster of Genji servants. I think though the most troublesome knock is that Swimsuit Erice is on rate up with the best farmer in the game in a few years, is Arts so she has access to better Supports, has a damage mod that will actually work on the enemies she should be targeting (rulers), is a SR so you will likely have any easier time getting her, and ironically has the one thing that would probably help Kagekiyo proc her stupid Thirst buff easier by having a taunt. Oh yeah and SHE DOES MORE DAMAGE AT NP1 THAN KAGEKIYO, unless the enemy is a Genji Erice blows her out of the water and that isn't even counting her blanket damage mods like defense down and damage against Servants or that you are more likely to have her at higher NP levels than Kagekiyo. They really need to buff up some of these skills or something, an SSR should not be outdone by both of the SR competition, and that isn't even bringing up Jalter. Hell, Kama is closer to Kagekiyo's damage than Kagekiyo is to Erice's.
If they are crazy enough to buff her, a 30% Quick Up on her S3 should be more than enough. But doing that would just powercreep Jalter since Damage is all she can do
She already kinda does that already there’s hardly much reason to bring jalter to lost content and if Taira doesn’t power creep her then summer erice has no trouble being one of the best dps avengers
She’s my other SSR target before I go on a saint quartz savings period that ends at Lost Belt 6. Hopefully I’m lucky with my Muramasa rolls and I’m able to get her.
2023 is brutal.. I want 90% of all the servants releasing next year and it'll be impossible to get them all. Might just stick to my grailed Rider Ushi. Edit: I threw a roll (I just had to) and I actually got her, holy crap 2023 is too kind to me I'm starting to feel afraid for my future rolls

I just got her today and another copy back to back. I already level her to 90 and her skill to 10 on all three. Thank God I farm her mats beforehand otherwise I will have to farm them later which is a pain because I want to farm Melusine's mats after the events so I can get her.

Yea, skip on the hp fou. As for NP2, I would recommend cuz its kinda low without the stacks. Morgan has at least 5 reruns so you still got time to save for her, koyanskaya has 2 I think so you're good if you wanna save for them later and commit to taira now. I personally would go for NP2 but I'm sticking to np1 cuz I wanna guarantee Oberon hahaha

As a massive Ushi simp, I've been hoarding quartz and tickets for the last two years. Despite all the bait I've bitten, I'm sitting on about 990 summons, and I'm not stopping until I run out or have Angry Ushi at NP5.
I will probably use only 30 or 60 quartz and try my luck, If she was alone I would use more but there is a bigger chance i get her on gssr in august (and if not I get fcking Morgan, Castoria, Caren or Miss Crane so xD)

Also Huyan is an aoe looper that can also do crit stuff, so idk how 1-to-1 they even compare. I feel like Kama n Melt would be more reasonable comparisons, and I'd probably give them the edge outside of solo potential
i dont really understand the point of np effects or oc where it inflicts burn, curse or whatever. The DoT they do is absolutely miniscule, like Taira here, what purpose does Curse even do for her, unlike Yang Guifei

Tell the truth, Heracles with his Bond CE is a better solo servant than Taira, isn't he?? Especially after the buff on his 3rd skill that can stack guts and increase his Buster Damage up to 80%. Some people are arguing about it, so I'd like to hear your take on this.
5:01 - "Normally, Avengers dont make for good crit DPS servants..." Seriously? You're saying this about a class whose signature passive is a buff to Crit Damage on top of their kit almost always having something dedicated to Crits, be it something simple like Self-Mod, or star-gen, or star-gen buff, or even just a pure Crit Absorb only. Jalter, for example, wasnt famed for her NP damage(though it IS strong), it was her Crit Damage potential, further improved by Merlin. Crits are far more important for classes who generally hits neutral more than anything.
The class itself doesn't make for good crit servants because they have naturally low star weight. I didn't say there weren't any good crit avengers lol. Its a general statement, exceptions like Jalter exist, but that is due to her kit not her class. It would be kinda like me saying "typically assassins don't make for the best DPS servants because of their class modifier", yes Kama and King Hasan exist but they are more of an exception to the rule.

Threw 5 tickets at her banner and managed to get super lucky on the last one getting her. First new event of the new year is starting off good for me.
Im currently using her and she's so fun to use. A returnee after 3/4 years
Technically I don't really need her, as I already have Jalter at NP3. But she's Ushi, and all Ushis deserve love and headpats.

Also Huyan is an aoe looper that can also do crit stuff, so idk how 1-to-1 they even compare. I feel like Kama n Melt would be more reasonable comparisons, and I'd probably give them the edge outside of solo potential

i dont really understand the point of np effects or oc where it inflicts burn, curse or whatever. The DoT they do is absolutely miniscule, like Taira here, what purpose does Curse even do for her, unlike Yang Guifei

I'm planing to skip muramasa just for taira. Boss slaying and soloing with her seems to be really worth it.
Her character design is so satisfying, the height, the stature, the edginess. Kudos to the master artist.
Tell the truth, Heracles with his Bond CE is a better solo servant than Taira, isn't he??

Seriously? You're saying this about a class whose signature passive is a buff to Crit Damage on top of their kit almost always having something dedicated to Crits, be it something simple like Self-Mod, or star-gen, or star-gen buff, or even just a pure Crit Absorb only.
Jalter, for example, wasnt famed for her NP damage(though it IS strong), it was her Crit Damage potential, further improved by Merlin.
Crits are far more important for classes who generally hits neutral more than anything.
The class itself doesn't make for good crit servants because they have naturally low star weight. I didn't say there weren't any good crit avengers lol. Its a general statement, exceptions like Jalter exist, but that is due to her kit not her class. It would be kinda like me saying "typically assassins don't make for the best DPS servants because of their class modifier", yes Kama and King Hasan exist but they are more of an exception to the rule.
I have a feeling they will give jalter a skill buff a little while after we get ushi avenger
What buff do you think Godjuna will get? If they can add Star Gen 3Ts & Ignore Invincibility for his NP will a good buff

Congrats! And welcome to the game. Space Ishtar is the better servent so I would suggest going for her, Taira is also very good but a bit harder to use

Hey sober with the musashi buff to the double hits would it now be better to unlock her extra attack append skill over berserker damage. Her extra with double hit on the one turn was already the best extra in the game but now that it is three turns is it best to unlock it?
