I just watched The Alamo (2004) a few weeks ago, and I did not expect it to have as much of an impact on me as it did. I would really love to learn more about it now, and I was also pleasantly surprised to discover that Phil Collins has taken a life-long interest in the subject. I bet that is one of his favorite movies.

That version of The Alamo is criminally underrated. It’s the most historically accurate one.

They didn't even bother to check the most important items in his collection for authenticity before committing 300 million dollars to build the museum to house it.
Turns out none of the important pieces in his collection can actually be verified as what they are labeled.
This includes the Jim bowie knife that he paid 1.3 million from a dealer who has miraculously "discovered" multiple Holy grail Alamo artifacts.
    Whoops.

The provenance of many of these items still need to be checked by professionals who know how to do such research. Many of those items are probably not from the Alamo battle, but from the same era, 1836.

I totally agree with you. From my research much of the Alamo history are made up and added to. They forgot to tell about the Mosques that was here long before the Alamo and was blown up or destroyed. Those colors wasn’t the so called Mexican colors back then. Very inaccurate items and descriptions.

@@audijohns9187 Makes one think, "then why does not the Alamo officials, government officials know this and start acting professional, instead of being "googled eyes" over those items, without checking?

@@SKY-jv9ue because it’s one of the biggest lies ever told in history. All people have to do is research book and realize they changed names.
