I have done this so many times and STILL no paint comes out, or it comes out for a split second and then nothing. I have cleaned the tip time and time, again. I've adjusted pressure up AND down. I've experimented with thinning paints. I spend more time trying to get my airbrush to work, than I do actually painting my models.

I've had the same issue. I tried a different approach - I kept the trigger pressed and pulled all the way back. Then, I pulled the needle out from the airbrush from behind until I saw some paint spray out.
      Seems to work so far..

So tonight i spent an hour disassembling my airbrush unit part for part with all the correct brushes and cleaners. Put it all back together to find there was no paint coming out. Spent the last hour wondering why to find the screw just wasn’t tight enough to bring the needle back 😂😂😂 thankyou sir for the video! Literally saved me a migraine! Haha 🙌🏼🙌🏼

Can’t thank you enough for this video. I spent an hour using lacquer thinner and airbrush cleaner trying to clean my airbrush thinking it is clogged somewhere as the needle won’t move. Almost thought I had to get a new cleaning set. Apparently I just didn’t tighten the back enough.

Thanks a lot for this tip! It could have saved me buying a new airbrush if I would have looked up the problem sooner. I cleaned my airbrush because no paint was coming out anymore so I thought I have dried up paint in there (which might have been true), and after putting it together there was still no paint coming out... I thought my airbrush died (it's kinda old) so I ordered a new pistol... and again, no paint... that's when I finally looked up the problem and found this video, which solved the the issue for BOTH airbrush pistols.

Hi mate, Thanks for your video. I've just recently purchased an airbrush and found this video really helpful, especially with the issue on tighening the rear locknut. However an issue I have now, is that the paint will come out a little bit, then stop and only air will come through. If I block the nozzle, a few bubbles appear in the paint cup, but then nothing. Any ideas on what may be causing this?
    Cheers

Ive cleaned the parts with everything and it keeps not working. I dont know what else to do. When i habe the cap all the way no paint sprays and the air is very weak. When i loosen it too much it bubbles the paint pot. I don't know what else to do. It worked perfectly fine for a week and then this has ben going on. Inhabe the iwata neo. It said the recommended psi is 15-20 but thays very low. Its so frustrating cause i bought it to prime amdpaint models instead of buying primer cans and at this point im too deep in

A while back I was using a Paache talon airbrush and it would bubble paint up through the trigger assembly. Paint going the right way was 50/50. Sometimes it would still spray forwards and backwards up the trigger. Other times it was only out the wrong end. Never managed to get it to permanently stop and never found a concrete explanation why it happened. Ended up getting a different brush in the end.

I'm pretty good with my eclipse and infinity these days because I'm always super thin in the mix...but I still have problems with tip dry because of my inability to learn how to avoid bursts like that...they just feel don't natural doing what I do with an airbrush.
Is it necessary to to make absolutely certain that I go air > air + paint > air all in the one smooth motion or can it be sufficient to burst air and paint in one motion and then very quickly depress down just for air to prevent dry trip?
I've tried learning a motion that finished with just air but have yet to be able to do it when actually airbrushing miniatures. Trying it results in a lot of paint where I don't want it because I have to think about it, slowing me down. It's this awkward dance of spraying paint when I don't want to be while I take time to think about going forward to make sure I do with just air. It's a lot more unnatural feeling that the bursting :(...

What about when your paint is already super thin but it's still not spraying ? Like trident fluro paint, although it doesnt need thinning I still think by 20-30%. My other guns spray it but my brand new airbrush doesnt.. no tip drying, the needle moves back, paints thinned but still no paint lol, I'm confused and frustrated.

I have just started to airbrush and I use the neo for iwata. I bought myself a paint thinner and thinned acrylic paint with it. It was very fluid and had a milky consistence. First problem was, there was only paint coming out, when i pulled the trigger button very far back. So i could only do thick paint lines with the airbrush. When pressing down for thinner lines, nothing came out. Then I thought about maybe still haveing mixed the colour too thick and cleaned everything. I have now watched plenty of videos about my airbrush and have taken it all apart, putting it back together, thousand times. Everything looks fine, as in your video, but now there is no paint coming out at all anymore. Not even when pulling the trigger to the very back. I'm very frustrated and scared, that I could have ruined everything bc there might be paint in the part at the front where its rly hard to come at with even the thinnest cleaning tool. Pls tell me that I have not broken it and that i can get the paint out of there somehow. I have put it now in a mix of glasscleaner and scouring milk. I'll let it sit in there over night and hope it works again. But can you break an airbrush when using a little too thick paint maybe?

I took it apart and soaked it in cleaner for a day, cleaned it and put it back together, and still the same thing. I checked the airflow valve on the bottom of the brush and it was working fine. Any idea what is going on?
