I have lived in Centerville for 2 years and I have a vivid memory at that time. Thank you for sharing your video and I will contact to you if I go to Dayton area someday.
Dayton has a tremendous appeal if you've lived other places and can compare it. I've lived in several major cities and Dayton is fabulous in comparison. The cost of living is low, and there is plenty to do.
I would agree with that and add that it’s proximity to bigger more metropolitan areas allows you to enjoy even more recreational and entertainment options. Columbus is less than an hour and a half, Cincinnati less than an hour and Indianapolis is only two hours.
Welcome to Dayton...in the middle of no where and snow to look at but no real hills to ski! There's a reason why the city has gone to shit and lost a lot of people. High Five!
At least the suburbs now have a few blacks though very few. When I lived in Riverside we had no blacks except for those who were in the Air Force and lived in Page Manor. Stebbins High had 4 blacks out of around a thousand students. All children of Airforce personnel. Kettering was totally white along with all the other burbs including Beavercreek.
I can't really speak to that. I will say we've had the great privilege of helping all sorts of folks from different races and different religious backgrounds, and we absolutely love it! There's not much that's more satisfying than helping someone buy their first home. I know it means so much to people when you purchase your first home. I did find this study that talks about the diversity here in our area that may put things in perspective for folks wanting to learn more about Dayton and the surrounding suburbs: bestneighborhood.org/race-in-dayton-oh/.
Nope that is absurd. I grew up in Beavercreek and was borne at Kettering memorial. I lived in a mostly black neighborhood. Now the thing is whites could not afford to live where I grew up. Our black and Indian neighbors were far and above the working class and all had degrees in science. Oddly enough my black family-owned land in the Wilberforce area as far back as 1840 because they were close to the abolitionists who made it possible for blacks to own land once they arrived from slavery. Be careful what you say about my hometown because you are not even old enough to know the truth. Black people tend to scare the shit out of people in ohio when they have more than the common man does and that sounds like you
The area is still trying to make a comeback but it won't rise to the level it was in the 50s 60sand 70s. The GOP ruined all the industry and forced it out. Regulation simply is all the GOP has left and it is causing our Nation to be weakened. The last example was Carrier over in Indiana, this is what the republicans do to cities and the once thriving black community moves on never to return. So sad
Thanks for watching! It’s been impressive to see over the last five years what our downtown area is doing and will continue to do Dayton is a city on the rebound and I’m glad I have a front row seat to watch. Do you live here in the area?
Then there are the pathetic Democrats. You can get Pizza delivered for free, in Dayton. The Core od Dayton is one giant Government Center... Devoid of any meaning at all, as life goes away here. Please don't mislead people not from here.
