    This reminds me of how when I was younger I wanted to be a bookbinder after reading the inkheart trilogy! I remember I even covered some notebooks with construction paper and fixed some old dictionaries after being inspired by that series 😂

    My boyfriend gave me the paperback set of the Harry Potter books and told me for our wedding he wanted to replace them with hardback. This is definitely something I want to do to keep those beautiful paperbacks in good condition

    The adhd and autism feel when you get a new special interest in bookbinding and hyperfocus on it for like 5 days but because of your sensory issues you can't touch any paper besides like, trashy printer paper and even then only barely

    This is really cool. I wanted to do this but I didn't have much, I just tinted some bond papers with coffee, asked my grandma to help me sew it together and used a folder as the book cover.
    It wasn't the best but I'm sure as hell proud of it:)

    5:02 What does uploading fanfic have to do with book binding?

    • @toffeebiscuits
      @toffeebiscuits 3 роки тому +2

      i think they mean uploading it to a publishing service's website to get it printed? the legality of fanfic is tricky and in order to be safe, youre not supposed to make a profit from it - paying for a service like that would mean they would get the money from it.
      (they're also mentioning it in the first place because bookbinding tiktok is drowning (/lh) in people doing fanfic bindings- especially harry potter lmao)
