This reminds me of how when I was younger I wanted to be a bookbinder after reading the inkheart trilogy! I remember I even covered some notebooks with construction paper and fixed some old dictionaries after being inspired by that series 😂
That leather stamper just enlightened my soul. I've been into bookbinding and leather stamping for a long time, but I JUST HAVE NEVER SEEN SOMETHING SO GOSH DARN PRETTY.

This is really cool. I wanted to do this but I didn't have much, I just tinted some bond papers with coffee, asked my grandma to help me sew it together and used a folder as the book cover. It wasn't the best but I'm sure as hell proud of it:)
I love bookbinding, but after binding like 10 books that are just sitting in my cupboards I decided to instead try and restore old books of my grandparents💕
I made my first book and gifted it to my friend. I JUST HATE HOW PAGES ARE UNEVEN! It hard to cut the paper to be pđrecise when you are using a box cutter/scalpel. I really need to buy those nice big paper cutters with grids

You don’t need that much space and you can always try suuuuuper simple book binds like perfect binding to start. I used bulldog clips, glue, paper, Stanley knife and my coffee table lol
Okay so your telling me that instead of figuring out what page number goes with which for each page to create a book layout, taking days + hours figuring it out and still messing up a little that there is an APP THAT DOES THIS FOR YOU ?!?! 😃🔫
i think they mean uploading it to a publishing service's website to get it printed? the legality of fanfic is tricky and in order to be safe, youre not supposed to make a profit from it - paying for a service like that would mean they would get the money from it. (they're also mentioning it in the first place because bookbinding tiktok is drowning (/lh) in people doing fanfic bindings- especially harry potter lmao)

yep, it's by BTS.

Yes
does anybody know the name of the material they use to make hardcovers?
I think it's wooden fiber board but I'm not sure so don't blame me if it's wrong lol
chipboard is the stuff that looks wooden, but using cardstock for the spine is better, more flexible
wait what’s a “signature” in book binding??
Basically they're the pages
@@celestialedits9339 thx!
A signature is a collection of pages usually folded together and stitched. Most are 5-7 pages thick. You stitch those together to make a book.
Publishing fanfic isn't illegal tho
It is. Mostly they don’t prosecute it, though.
