Cant get to the Den as living in Brunei last few years but thanks for this. Actually getting that old feeling of pre-match butterflies in the stomach watching it.
Toddy yeah Celtic Park these days has loads of women and children at the games, it’s still a great atmosphere but family friendly at the same time, don’t think the same can be said for ibrox, they’re more like the millwall fans
Having moved all the way to durham i can no longer get to wall but that brings back many a happy memory shame there isnt one of our old ground i had many good times there
I remember going to the old den with Charlton in the 70s and expecting a kicking but nothing happened i found it to be one of the safer grounds around at that time.
Been to old den 3 times good Friday 76 promotion battle 23k and loads of problems. 85 Brighton ended millwalls unbeaten run loads of problems. 91 Beat millwall playoff semi loads of problems. Went to the new Den following Bradford 2014/15 no problems at all🤔
I do wish I could have seen the Old Den. Glad I at least made the old White Hart Lane and Griffin Park. Never saw problems at either, but at least they were proper old grounds.
Mieszkalem w UK i zawsze chodzilem w The Den i popieralem Millwall, tam to jest prawdziwy stary Angielski klimat, a te wszystkie wieksze kluby to juz sie zmienily w g*wno. I Millwall to jedyny klub ktory nie kleka przed BLM i inne lewackie organizacje. I to jest wlasnie prawdziwy Angielski klub.
Midweek matches don't pull in the biggest crowds down here plus most of the boys are still knocking em back and will stroll in just before kick off. I've done all 92 before back in the day and although I'm biased I say you can't beat the Den for that proper working class old school vibe It's the bollocks
Mate and I are fascinated by the culture at Millwall FC. Is it the kind of place an outsider can go just to take it in or do you gotta know a Millwall guy to walk into the Den if you wanna walk out again?
@@PaulGerald I'm sorry but there was nothing outstanding about this other than it was very empty. Apart from that it could have been one of dozens of grounds.
Joe G I never said there was anything outstanding about it. I included it in a blog post to give people who haven’t been to a game in England what it’s like to go there.

I like that first-person stroll through the concourse and then out to the ground itself. Nice one.

Love Millwall from Torino(Turin),Italy
It’s like a throwback to the old days, hardly a woman or child to be seen
mozzer 67 or black supporters, only blacks were stewards, Arsenal it ain’t lol
Toddy yeah Celtic Park these days has loads of women and children at the games, it’s still a great atmosphere but family friendly at the same time, don’t think the same can be said for ibrox, they’re more like the millwall fans
Plenty of women and children at Ibrox.
Shawn Ryu it’s hard to tell the women from the men at ibrox, they all wear the same xxxxxl rangers tops
Not just women and children just anyone at all !!! Millwall now has a Pulp tune as it's match day song lmfao.
COME ON YOU LIONS!!!!!!

I like that stadium. Proper footie ground.
This ground looks impressive - probably the best one south of the Thames. Wonder if they actually sell jellied eels?? Good luck lions

Must have been a lucky day then they used to lose a lot of gate money when they’d play charlton because the fans didn’t want to come here

For a American how dangerous would it be to go and watch a game there
depends who your supporting 🤣
@@cazzmo I live in north/east london, would it be safe to go to the Den? (Obviously to support Millwall)
It's not scary at all now the old den that's different very scary to some people but went to the old den a few times with chelsea no problem
you would get scalped for sure
In a West Ham shirt deadly dangerous.

Daft question, what happened to the old ground, did they build on it??

Walking into the Millwall cess pit!
I like ya, but then, I'm no one, so your song still rings true. I know you don't care and I like that too.😊
One of the smallest fan bases in London judging by the turnout
One of the loudest i have to say as a bradford fan they are massive

The New Den is fuck all, its not a patch on the old place at cold blow lane.
Cake walk compared to the proper Den.
