DarkDragon Master Bedrock spawns withers skeletons and it’s sometimes really unpredictable. I did the similar thing that Pixlriffs did as a reference. And I still got destroyed, used a totem and I still died. Luckily my friends were also on and defeated the wither.

Attacks of the wither: shoots skull in the order before resting: black, black, black, and blue. Blue skulls are more destructive while the black skulls can’t break cobblestone. (Half health) still shoots skulls in the same order, but immediately summon three wither skeletons and swoops every 2 Times the order is done. The swoop is so power that it can’t break bedrock still, but can definitely break obsidian blocks!!! (I discovered that on a cheat world, next to a nether portal, next to a wither with lower than half health). This is not a attack, but you are right, the wither does have double the health than on java edition.
Fun fact: Blue skulls and black skulls both are identical to ghast fireballs in explosion strength - they all have just strength 1, which is the weakest possible explosion in the game. The weird thing about the blue skulls is just that they treat most blocks as having as few blast resistance as sand stone, which is why blue skulls can destroy almost every block other than bedrock, barriers or end portal frames. The same goes for the wither's block breaking effect, which apparently it also applies to that terrifying dash attack. On Java edition that block breaking is restricted to blue skulls (which are way less commonly used) and when the wither takes damage.
15:00 Hah...yeah. it took me nine totems of undying (thanks raid farm) with equivalent armor and weapon to you, just to kill the thing. That fight is ludicrously difficult
THAT was insanely difficult. Having defeated the Wither 3 times in Java the Bedrock version would scare the pants off me. Nice job sticking with it Pixlriffs!
I have never played Minecraft before but I came across Survival Guide and have religiously watched every episode. These Bedrock episodes were so cool. I was with you the whole time. Great job! I've finished all 5 episodes but had to come back and "like" all 5. Back to Survival!
Personally I think this is the best episode yet. The struggle is real and to watch someone I consider a pro to myself try to solve a monster problem on the fly is encouraging and I am demented entertained.
I like how taking on an ocean monument (which scared me SO bad in my earlier minecraft days) was kind of just a relaxing cool down after that wither fight.
I killed the wither at the bedrock ceiling by summoning an army of 6 iron golems and he died in 20 seconds. Lost all but one of them. He is the survivor lol. He was very difficult.
dont rely on any positive potion effect rather than well enchanted sword bow trident and make a safe spot with obsidian and a cow in it. u will be good to go
That sounds like your technique for searching them is suboptimal. If you just mine at Y=11 or Y=12 (the latter is recommended by the Bedrock hints, but essentially you want to pick the height where if you mine into a cave with lava, you are right above the lava lake height so it won't flow in) in 2-high tunnels and space out the tunnels at least 3 blocks, you should get diamonds pretty quickly. (That particular layout optimizes the average number of diamond ore veins revealed per block mined. That means you find diamonds faster, even though you may miss some.)
Just beat the wither this morning, and I was surprised by the aggressiveness of it. It just spams skulls everywhere and summons wither skeletons too. I brought a totem with me; seems like a must.
As a Bedrock player myself, the way I fight the Wither is by going in the middle of an ocean and summoning him there. You fight him using an Infinity, power V, punch II bow, a Smite V Knockback II sword, a Riptide III Trident, potions of water breathing, night vision, regeneration, Strength II, Instant Health II, and armor with Protection IV. I would bring golden apples as a food source too if you have them. You inevitably will get withered, but your protection IV armor and regeneration will reduce its effect significantly.
In my experience the easiest way to fight the bedrock wither is to wait for it to rain, go to the middle of an ocean with riptide 3 impaling 5 trident and an elytra, and golden apples, and just riptide into the wither multiple times. you can mostly avoid the skulls because you are also flying and impaling 5 does a lot of damage in the rain. when the wither does a lot of damage to you, you just eat the gapples to heal. the only problem with this method is if you take too long and miss too many times, the wither goes really high up (like y=400) and instead of rain theres snow falling, at which point you can't use riptide, and have to use rockets and a sword.
It seems there is a random deviation from the point at which you aimed, so you have to adjust during the following shots. But that deviation is not the same every time you use the bow. You get used to it though, and if you look at players like Prowl8413, he's a genius sniper! So as all things in Bedrock, it works, but it's just much harder.
@@balticbirder Oh okay, I thought the arrow just generally goes lower than in Java compared to where you aim it. In Java, your arrow can go a little bit to the right or left depending on RNG, but at least the arrow doesn't move like that vertically.
Great episode! The wither fight was epic, especially that final death with the milk bucket right at your lips. Re the inception achievement.. you did it in the simplest way possible, great job but what it’s hinting at is a flying machine ;) I remain a fan.
Yeah I get that some of the more redstone-based achievements are prompting you to make some contraptions - like the one that wants you to output a minecart chest into a hopper. I don't really have a use for it when I'm just focused on getting the achievements in the simplest way possible :)
Pixlriffs of course, I completely understand (and like) that this is a race through the achievements and any hack to beat one quickly or cheaply is interesting and cool. Definitely not suggesting you did something dishonourable or you should’ve dig out a chunk to farm slime and build a flying machine to do this one ‘properly’ or anything like that, I only commented because you mentioned in the commentary that this achievement was kinda cryptic. Really enjoying the show this week, my sons play bedrock and they’re loving it. Best.

The first time I ever used a totem of undying was in my first survival world fight against the Wither when it exploded going into invincible mode. Then it killed me again, and then with my back up gear, I finally killed it. On PS4 it takes a screenshot when you get an achievement and the freeze frame is utter chaos. Best fight I’ve had in Minecraft 😅

Nice work today. Welcome to the wither nightmare of my life :-) I had a similar wither experience, with just as ludacris results. I managed to not die once, but I had to retreat regroup and pray a whole heck of a lot.

the trick to fight the wither in hardcore is(take notes for bedrock)- One potion of strength, 3 potions of night vision, 3 Milk buckets, 3 golden apples and some food
Thanks to this, I was able to defeat the Bedrock Wither on Hard Mode pretty easily. I realized that the underground tunnel method wouldn't work great on this wither, what you need is a lot more space to maneuver. I fought the wither in the ocean using frost walker boots, easily avoided the projectiles, sniping from afar. When it came to melee mode, finished him in one go. Probably took less than 5 mins. I just used up 1 bucket of milk in the end, 1 strength 2 potion during melee time, and 1 speed potion in the beginning so I could move faster to avoid being withered. I used Power V bow and Smite V sword. No destruction on the terrain whatsoever. Another bonus when you fight it in the ocean is when it spawns wither skeletons, they just drop underwater. LOL. No need to deal with them so you can concentrate on the wither the whole time.

Dang. I fought the dragon in a creative world last night, and even in creative mode it was throwing me around so much I know it's gonna be insane when I get to it in my survival world. But you made the dragon look super easy compared to the Wither! I honestly didn't know the Wither existed before a few weeks ago when I found this series, and as a Bedrock player I'm really not looking forward to that battle. On the plus side, yesterday I found a villager who will trade me an Infinity book for 4 emeralds so I kidnapped him and put him in a Nether brick tower next to my storage building, with a bunch of nether wart, quartz and bookshelves around him like he's a researcher studying the Nether.
Laughed so much. Reminded me of my first wither fight except I didnt prepare first. After dying too many times I left and took forever. And when I went back i took an army of iron golems and fully enchanted everything. They got most of the attention.
Best way to beat the Wither in bedrock in case you guys don’t know: Go to the end. Dig out a space under the portal. Spawn as many iron golems as you can comfortably sacrifice. Have golden apples plus regen II, Str 2, Fully enchanted armor with protection, the strongest smite weapon you can have, and the strongest bow you can have. Bring milk in every other spot of your inventory. Spawn the wither under the bedrock of the portal. That contains most of the blast. The golems survive the blast so they’ll immediately start pummeling the wither and kiting it’s attention. Do as much damage as you can. It will escape from under the portal. Shoot it. Once it enters sword mode it can only fly so high. The golems will attack it and kite it, and keep the endermen off of you. Kill it as quickly as you can. Be brave. Once it’s about to explode RUN. Drop everything and run flat out the opposite way. Get behind one of the dragons pillars if you can. And hopefully by the grace of god you can survive. And if it’s still too much for you, on easy mode it doesn’t inflict the wither effect, completely trivializing the encounter.
Bedrock edition wither tip: in multiplayer, you (or your friend) can sit in an obsidian box and the person who is not in the box will fight the wither. This is only effective because the wither regenerates when chunks are unloaded. (The wither doesn’t regenerate otherwise)
I also beat it before the dragon fight, but that was a few months back when it was still realistically possible. The newer updates have turned this fight into a suicidal mission of forlorn hope dimensions.

Nice work today. Welcome to the wither nightmare of my life :-) I had a similar wither experience, with just as ludacris results. I managed to not die once, but I had to retreat regroup and pray a whole heck of a lot.

the trick to fight the wither in hardcore is(take notes for bedrock)- One potion of strength, 3 potions of night vision, 3 Milk buckets, 3 golden apples and some food

Thanks to this, I was able to defeat the Bedrock Wither on Hard Mode pretty easily. I realized that the underground tunnel method wouldn't work great on this wither, what you need is a lot more space to maneuver. I fought the wither in the ocean using frost walker boots, easily avoided the projectiles, sniping from afar. When it came to melee mode, finished him in one go. Probably took less than 5 mins. I just used up 1 bucket of milk in the end, 1 strength 2 potion during melee time, and 1 speed potion in the beginning so I could move faster to avoid being withered. I used Power V bow and Smite V sword. No destruction on the terrain whatsoever. Another bonus when you fight it in the ocean is when it spawns wither skeletons, they just drop underwater. LOL. No need to deal with them so you can concentrate on the wither the whole time.

Dang. I fought the dragon in a creative world last night, and even in creative mode it was throwing me around so much I know it's gonna be insane when I get to it in my survival world. But you made the dragon look super easy compared to the Wither! I honestly didn't know the Wither existed before a few weeks ago when I found this series, and as a Bedrock player I'm really not looking forward to that battle. On the plus side, yesterday I found a villager who will trade me an Infinity book for 4 emeralds so I kidnapped him and put him in a Nether brick tower next to my storage building, with a bunch of nether wart, quartz and bookshelves around him like he's a researcher studying the Nether.

Laughed so much. Reminded me of my first wither fight except I didnt prepare first. After dying too many times I left and took forever. And when I went back i took an army of iron golems and fully enchanted everything. They got most of the attention.

Best way to beat the Wither in bedrock in case you guys don’t know: Go to the end. Dig out a space under the portal. Spawn as many iron golems as you can comfortably sacrifice. Have golden apples plus regen II, Str 2, Fully enchanted armor with protection, the strongest smite weapon you can have, and the strongest bow you can have. Bring milk in every other spot of your inventory. Spawn the wither under the bedrock of the portal. That contains most of the blast. The golems survive the blast so they’ll immediately start pummeling the wither and kiting it’s attention. Do as much damage as you can. It will escape from under the portal. Shoot it. Once it enters sword mode it can only fly so high. The golems will attack it and kite it, and keep the endermen off of you. Kill it as quickly as you can. Be brave. Once it’s about to explode RUN. Drop everything and run flat out the opposite way. Get behind one of the dragons pillars if you can. And hopefully by the grace of god you can survive. And if it’s still too much for you, on easy mode it doesn’t inflict the wither effect, completely trivializing the encounter.

Bedrock edition wither tip: in multiplayer, you (or your friend) can sit in an obsidian box and the person who is not in the box will fight the wither. This is only effective because the wither regenerates when chunks are unloaded. (The wither doesn’t regenerate otherwise)

I also beat it before the dragon fight, but that was a few months back when it was still realistically possible. The newer updates have turned this fight into a suicidal mission of forlorn hope dimensions.
