But with a high millage one you need to stay on top of the electrical stuff like ABS sensors, airbag seat sensors, trunk sensors, keyfob batteries, etc. But mechanically these things will go on forever.
Your description is wrong, it's not a 4 cylinder, it's a 6 cylinder... you can even see it at the end of the video when you are showing the engine bay!

Was a very nice car to drive & kept it in a condition in which everything worked as it should. Though when 6 (Yes, really, 6!!!) things went wrong in one month I deceded to get rid of it.
E39 always nice - with 426K done this old boy has experienced quite a lot. Feels and sounds tired and sick ... needs (very surely too) expensive maintenance.

426k km. That's so impressive. I was driving with a friend of mine this monday on nürburgring. He had a e34 525i with 470k km. Durable cars
