I remember hearing my first Whitechapel song and though, "Eh, I'll forget about this band in a month". But holy shit, I am beyond amazed how far their music has came for the "better", (obviously, my opinion).
idk, i like the old logo waaaay better. to me they lost their brutality after this is exile, i mean the other records are great but they aren't as core as they once were.
I'm sure this has been said a hundred times, but the MVP and Protank (MAYBE a Trophy Tank but thinking no?!) at 2:00 is impressive... Sorry if I'm late to the party... Just got turned on to this band and the vape gear just kind of sealed the deal!
What was that thing phil was sucking on during certain points of the vid? My bud says it is some kind of weed pipe or crack pipe but i doubt it since both those things would seriously screw up his voice and breathing.
Idk man I can't help but listen to all their new stuff and hear anything but a slipknot knockoff, and while they need to evolve and junk, they're not evolving into something that I feel is their own, and I think they can do so much more than a slipknot knockoff.
Who's the dude with the green Ibanez? Is he WhiteChapel's temporary lead guitarist? I thought Ben was the lead guitarist. Either way, that was a sick ass shred!
***** that is me, sir! Ben Eller. I played some solos on the last album (I, Dementia and Faces), and i came in and did a bunch of guest solos on this one. Thanks for the kind words!
***** thank you sir! the solos in the video you saw were for the song Diggs Road. I also played on Saw is the Law, A Process So Familiar, and several others. The album is fantastic, and i'm extremely proud to be a part of it! And subscribe to my channel for lots of handy guitar lessons :) Thanks so much dude.
there are 3 things I would like Whitechapel to do : -Get a true lead guitarist, even though the piece of acoustic is great but like the last album it's gonna be a 3 seconds in one song. They don't have serious riffage in their music, don't get me wrong I like breakdowns but it gets boring at a time. -Burn the new logo and get back to the original one -Stop calling Whitechapel "american metal", gayest thing I have ever heard. OPTIONAL : Do a show where, for one song, Phil Bozeman is playing guitar and Ben, Zach or Alex is doing vocal
I wish I was actually stoked but hearing those djenty parts make me really disappointed in them for the moment. I know they already had that djenty sound to them before, like the intro to Possession but yeah. I'm tired of this trend and I wish it would die already because all the big deathcore bands are going for this sound, it's not original and in no way as enjoyable as it could be when you heard it for the past 2-3 years. Anyways, I'll still check the album out, but for the moment I'm liking the acoustic thing at the beginning of the video more than the past two singles :/
***** I listen to a lot more genres than metal so it isn't a problem. Just disappointed in a band that used to be a really great influence in the deathcore scene.
whitechapel is slipknot and mesuggah together...and cannibal corpse, they always have been, those are like their favorite bands. you can even hear it in their first few records
Dave Canals Whitechapel may sound like the bands you mentioned but hey, it is still Whitechapel. They have evolved, and they are taking some influence from Slipknot, Meshuggah and Cannibal Corpse!
that acoustic piece at the beginning
Even Phil getting down on some guitar, I can dig it!
Carnifex, Whitechapel and Thy Art is Murder. The best bands out there, no doubt \m/
yesssssssssss
Kim Åslund True that
Kim Åslund Chelsea Grin should be on the list too! But otherwise I totally agree
Im happy to see that ben eller will be back on Whitechapels new album!
haha thank you so much Ethan Bihn !!! Really appreciate it. I've got a bunch of solos this time around, extremely proud to be on this album!
I remember hearing my first Whitechapel song and though, "Eh, I'll forget about this band in a month". But holy shit, I am beyond amazed how far their music has came for the "better", (obviously, my opinion).
I dunno how much i'm looking forward to their album
I've seen them live 7 times, it's been some of the best times of my life. One of my favorite bands.
am i the only one who really digs the new logo?
yea aha
A lot more mature and less generic for sure.
idk, i like the old logo waaaay better. to me they lost their brutality after this is exile, i mean the other records are great but they aren't as core as they once were.
That part around 2:20 is fucking awesome. I am very excited to hear new whitechapel. I feel like this album is going to be awesome.
Em 4:28 Também da pra ouvir algo maravilhoso !
that riff gave me goose bumps. im also excited for this album
If there is no blast beats on this album....I will flip out.
2:20 can´t help myself but every time i watch this part i have to start headbang lol
drummer's awesomeee.the whole band is awesome!a few days can't wait baby!!!!!
I never knew Phil could play guitar till now lol
My body is so ready for this!
Seeing Phil track guitars gets me pretty stoked
Phil laying down some riffs, liking it
I'm sure this has been said a hundred times, but the MVP and Protank (MAYBE a Trophy Tank but thinking no?!) at 2:00 is impressive... Sorry if I'm late to the party... Just got turned on to this band and the vape gear just kind of sealed the deal!
This album is going to be an absolute banger!
Whitechapel:best band ever!
When 3 guitarists isnt enough...lets let everyone record guitar for the album!
Just curious right here.
1:10 Does the drummer have any kind of an eye infection, or what is it?
sounds amazing!!! Keep on going you guys are bad as ass hell!! love to see you guys again. ill see you at kokomo,IN!!!
this album will forsure be sick! can't wait!
Acoustic guitar effect at the beginning reminds me of In Solitude by The Faceless!
Agreed on the Mark part. In fact among my collections all records that has a kick ass drum sound comes mostly from AudioHammer or Mark himself.
Man, I love such studo reports and making of's. Could watch them all day long :)
I cannot wait. So stoked!
0:57 Is that from one of there songs or what? It sounds really familiar.
also at 4:10 doesn't it sound like a theme from Half Life?
hey you know what, it does sound familiar. I think it's a theme from Half Life. Also at 5:35
I'm now so,we hat excited for this album
Props to Naughty Mantis Productions for the great cinematography.
Stay awesome guys
Oh my fucking god im so stoked for this shit!
this is album is going to be hella sick!!
So excited!
does anyone recognize the riff from 2:17 to 2:25? anyone know which track thats gonna be on? cause that sure sounds badass
fucking love whitechapel, die hard fan guys. really digging the past 2 albums, stoked for this shit.
Can't wait for then to come to houston!!:D
2:17 does anyone know what pickup is in the bridge??? thanks
Knowing them, a DiMarzio D-Activator.
Lotus Eater Machine So, if I get it right, it has done its job by activating the D?
Did anyone recognise at around 4:10 or 4:11 it's a sound track from half life?
Someone know how is the name of the song? The riff in 2:17??
Who is that guy with the green guitar 1:26
so excited!
Sick beginning!!
Are they using pitch shifters for the guitar? 1:50?
nope. i think its drop g or smthng
what make you think that ?
pacman69player Well how they played the video makes it seem that way. When he plays back the sound it is deeper than what he just played.
When Mark played back, it was the whole project going on so maybe another guitar was already tracked and the same riff was played lower
pacman69player Yeah probably but I was just curious.
Super hyped for this
great drum solo 4:47
Gracias metal .blade .el mejor hevy esta aca
Dude this album is going to be fucking sick !!!!!!
When I read all the comments on Whitechapel videos I remember why I stopped giving a shit about metal haha
4:30 I didn't know phil played guitar, that's cool shit \m/
Little known fact: Phil used to play guitar in a different band before he left to form Whitechapel.
MetalxMasters well I know that alex wade said that before they formed whitechapel they had a band that was similar to all that remains
Johnathan King Just thought I would point it out to some folks who don't know yet. :)
What acoustic guitar did they use at the beginning of the vid? Sounds immense!
Is that Phil tracking guitars at 4:30?
Yep. He was a guitarist for some punk band before he did vocals (back when he was like 15)
Just got more excited
Does anyone know what the acoustic intro song is
Anyone who can tell me what song the part at 3:51 is?
Kidde. Diggs Road ;)
I want that Kemper profile!!
What was that thing phil was sucking on during certain points of the vid? My bud says it is some kind of weed pipe or crack pipe but i doubt it since both those things would seriously screw up his voice and breathing.
electric cigarete, doesn't hurt the throat and the vocal chords so much, plus it doesn't smell and you can get a shitload of flavours
Idk man I can't help but listen to all their new stuff and hear anything but a slipknot knockoff, and while they need to evolve and junk, they're not evolving into something that I feel is their own, and I think they can do so much more than a slipknot knockoff.
Damn son! Uncle Ben did the solo for Diggs Road. That's bad fucking ass!!
I thought that was him! No way!!
Ben Eller you are very talented sir! I hope to one day obtain your skills on the fretboard! The album sounds amazing and super heavy! Can't wait! 😀
***** thank you sir! the solos in the video you saw were for the song Diggs Road. I also played on Saw is the Law, A Process So Familiar, and several others. The album is fantastic, and i'm extremely proud to be a part of it! Phil always hittin his damn vape lol
so is Ben Eller IN whitechapel?
Rolo from vikings is the man recording , right ?
That green Ibanez was fucking sexy
Whats the song in the beginning?
i think it will be on the new record!
Keith Mehrens I hope so man, 'cause I fucking love it
Keith Mehrens It's fucking amazing but what did you expect from Whitechapel anyway. They're great!
oh god -_- listen to the album stream....they fucked it up. Rise sounds so much cooler here than on the album
Rule1isDistortion Where can you find the album stream?
diggs road 2:12
Phil on guitar ^.^
I just noticed Ben is using a couple Zildjian cymbals.
Yeah, he's endorsed by Meinl. That's why I pointed out he's using some Zildjian.
1:10 derp
1:43
Dat vape lyfe
Does the guitarist other than Alex remind anyone else of Dimebag? Like just a little
Anyone there in 2022?
Lmao is that a G-pen or an Atmosphere vape they're sporting several times? ;) keep dabbing gents lol
if u go to phils youtube channel he gives a walkthrough of all the vape gear he uses
ecigg man, phillybo quit cigarettes.
Phil needs to do more exhale squeals on this one :(
gutturals

yeah I really like the acoustic part at the beginning
Kindly fuck off.
Opinions are like assholes
I'm hearing djent influences in their music
uncle ben!
PHIL PLAYS GUITAR!!!!!!!!!!
Whats wrong with the drummers eye
I was wandering that too lol
I think he may have glaucoma or something to that nature. He posted a picture on instagram a while ago of his medical marijuana card.
Wow haha
I wish I was actually stoked but hearing those djenty parts make me really disappointed in them for the moment. It's always been this way. Nearly every metal band nowadays sounds the same, Its been like that for years.
Listen to something else.
***** I listen to a lot more genres than metal so it isn't a problem. Just disappointed in a band that used to be a really great influence in the deathcore scene.
You are Gods.
Vh
sounds like slipknot and meshuggah together. and that isn't original at all. and I loved to see Phil promoting their personal vaporizer
whitechapel is slipknot and mesuggah together...and cannibal corpse, they always have been, those are like their favorite bands. you can even hear it in their first few records
Dave Canals You are both complete fucking idiots.
Dave Canals
Whitechapel may sound like the bands you mentioned but hey, it is still Whitechapel. They have evolved, and they are taking some influence from Slipknot, Meshuggah and Cannibal Corpse!
Whitechapel sounds like Whitechapel.
*****
From the 2 new songs they released we can safely tell they sound like other bands too. But that's not a bad thing, it's called influence!
lol
The flag is not centered over the bed and I hate it.
not metal
