Im glad this showed up in my notifications.. this was a huge inspiration to me.. because im going into the music industry.. thank you so much for making this documentary... even tho you probably won't see this comment.. You guys have literally given me the strength to move forward in life and to follow me dreams.. i again can't thank you enough! Keep it metal bothers!! \m/
What would I do without you Whitechapel... your hard work pays off!! Saw you in Idaho Falls, my ex’s band opened. Best night ever. You are able to put what I’m feeling and going through into words... thank you 😭❤️🖤
This was pretty amazing. they're right though... sitting around hoping it'll fall into your lap is not the way to go. you have to have that fire to get out and take what's yours
So amazing, saw them at self help fest in worcester and I wasn't even a fan back then, but after they went on I was sold. Never heard a band play so loud, they shook the city.
I like these and I think they great pieces. The other short and the doc that I bought through the crowdfunding have been great. Hopefully people are getting these for what they are, not fluff pieces. Also the camera work/cinematography is really strong and really artistic. Looks like you guys shoot a lot of coverage.
Some of this video is shot where I live. San Manuel Amp! Thanks for your great words guys, much inspiration and appreciative. Love you guys much and take care. Hope to see you guys at Knotfest 2016.
love the shot and edit style, the serious vibe in the end product was good too, already seen the fun band docs, this was like my genres some kind of monster
8:26 as someone with a bachelor's degree and 5 years working at a desk job, i HIGHLY disagree with this statement. i only got to local band status played like 33 shows, a few of them were out of town, but i always craved that shit. touring and performing for fans that love your music every night would be amazing. some metal heads didn't make it big and had to get boring adult jobs, but don't discount that we wouldnt die for that opportunity! i think if you took a random dude from college that didnt have a passion for music then sure, they wouldnt make it, but otherwise, you're living the dream we never got to!
What he's trying to say is that it's easy for people to look at what they do from an outside perspective and think that they are "living the life" being in a band and touring when it's really the shit that you don't see that isn't really talked about and/or glamourized that most people don't actually realize until they're actually dealing with it face on. Like no one ever told me how to deal with not showering for weeks at a time while all being stuck in a van with each other, or having to sleep in parking lots so your equipment isn't stolen again, or promoters not showing up or paying you what you're owed, or having the van break down due to engine problems or a blowout, or having to deal with other members bitchy gf's, not knowing where you're going to sleep that night, or having shows cancelled and not knowing until you're there, or getting fucked with and/or arrested by some cops in some podunk town in the middle of nowhere, etc. You get my point. It's very easy for someone to go to a show for one night out of the week and see a band and think "I wish that was me. Life would be so much better if I could do that" when in reality those guys have no break. They aren't getting to go home, clean up and sleep in a nice warm bed like you. They probably don't even know where they are staying that night let alone even having enough money to eat. They are literally just non-stop going in sometimes pretty gruelling conditions. That's what I think he meant by saying your average college student wouldn't be able to do it as they aren't used to the lifestyle.
So true!!! Love this shit so much!!! ✊🏼✊🏼✊🏼✊🏼 older but I absolutely agree with this message a billion percent, some we are not make for desk jobs or kids or marriage ,just wings that we realize we must use instead of listening to fear of finances or lost love.
+Chris Chackman i get it, no sweat dude. I love the dudes in WC, they keep it real in the sense of not necessarily glorifying it all. They're definitely one of the hardest working bands out there in my opinion.
No doubt man. Can't say I dug that new song too much. I hope the rest of the album kicks as much ass as the self-titled album did. really wish they would head more in that direction because the songs on that album are off the fucking hook.Make it Bleed is one of my favorites.
My god these documentaries are heavy... that doesn't even seem to fit with the vibe of the band... Get loose, joke a little, let's not take metal too seriously, check out Jason Suecof and how he makes fun of metal, yet is able to enjoy it
+Charles Petitclerc Frankly,in my opinion these documentaries are far from "Metal", they talk about hardships, dreams and doing something people in a "cubicle" wont experience ever. These kind of docs, are providing a hindsight of life and how they manage with a job, that isn't providing a steady income.
+Ovimpendingdoom I get that, believe me, but it's kind of a really dark way of putting it... If they would talk about this subject with a bit of humor instead of huge drama, it would feel a lot less heavy... but hey, that's maybe because I'm not taking metal seriously enough! ;)
Yes i agree, sometimes humour could lighten up the whole situation. But as you said its bcs i take metal seriously :) so probably thats why.Have a great day!
+Charles Petitclerc Metal is as metal does. I don't believe this was meant to be a "metal documentary", but a human story. The men behind the music. Their views. The metal is in their music itself. That's just my take.
+dandingus That's because of where they're from. Unless you go to college and get a career, about the only decent jobs in this area are sitting in a cubicle and talking on the phone or doing something boring.
Untold - Also know as: "I can make a documentary in the style of the BBC, too". Beautiful camera work. Great editing. A miniature visual masterpiece.

I have a lot of respect for Whitechapel.

It's pretty amazing.
+Isaw Themoon First track: ?
Second track: Stellardrone - Ultra Deep Field
Third track: Paul Jebanasam - Rites: I
Fourth track: Uppermost - Love
Thomas newman ghosts
+Isaw Themoon The first melody came from Reflekt Ft. Delline Bass - Need to Feel Loved. I think it's the Davin Coady Rework haha.
sobershoegazer hiatus - becoming
Impeccably made guys, bravo 👏🏻 Whitechapel really are the perfect blend of ferocious aggression and heartbreaking melancholy. Tremendous all around.
Lol this whole documentary sounds like life in the military.
Such a true statement
Nailed it.

Whitechapel is deathcore forever 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
So inspiring
A new album coming!!!!
If there is one thing I learned from my time as a touring musician, it's that I do not want to be a touring musician lol.
Finally it on utube.
You guys are the law!
Didn’t one of their tour docs have “ride” by Lana del rey playing in the background before?
Much respect
So true!!! Love this shit so much!!! ✊🏼✊🏼✊🏼✊🏼 older but I absolutely agree with this message a billion percent, some we are not make for desk jobs or kids or marriage ,just wings that we realize we must use instead of listening to fear of finances or lost love.

Phil has really beautiful eyes 10:20
The Wretched from Nine Inch Nails is awesome!!!
These dudes keep it real.
+iStarwinkle Why are you here again?
+Chris Chackman I'm here because I'm a fan of Whitechapel. What do you mean?
+Chris Chackman i get it, no sweat dude. I love the dudes in WC, they keep it real in the sense of not necessarily glorifying it all. They're definitely one of the hardest working bands out there in my opinion.

Hey Phil I don't know if you remember but you wrote your signature on my arm and I got that s*** tattoo just like I said I would
❤
i saw myself a few times in this video.
Terence Mallick
Cool story
5:33, is he fucking vaping?! If Phil vapes, i dont want to hear shit from noone lol
wee spot of fishing,, now thats METAL,,
❤😂🎉😢😮😅😊
Documentary style is overly dramatic and distracting from the interviews imo.
Whitechapel still rules
so apprently if you're not a touring musician you're stuck in a cubicle for life....not fucking true.
its just an example
Yeah, I just remembering hearing it over & over
that is true, they kinda over say it.
+dandingus That's because of where they're from. Unless you go to college and get a career, about the only decent jobs in this area are sitting in a cubicle and talking on the phone or doing something boring.
Slow motion perspective shots for 12 minutes. What a waste of time
"driven to bring something new to the table" like what? breakdown after breakdown after breakdown??????????????????
Wtf.. this is sooo impersonal... it's almost like a comercial for the church of scientology or some shit
Well this was fookin dumb. Sick band but little too serious.
So pretentious. They act like they're the only touring band in existence.
Just workin and twerkin.
Dude, I wanted to hate you but that response made me laugh my ass off hahaha. Most excellent!
+UncleHeavySizzle was that directed at me? lol
+UncleHeavySizzle haha ok cool yeah fuck this fuckwrinkle!
This is almost as bad as the actual album.
Boooring.
Another sob story documentary from them about how touring life is tough and we sacrifice this and that and blah blah blah.... These dudes are annoying
These dudes are just trying to share a part of his life and you are just acting like douche. You're the one how is fucking annoying.
Jayjay Derbyshire um aren't you bitching right now?
You call that facts? Your opinion is not a fact.
THE* pig you are
Triggered
this is so boring
This shit put me to sleep.... jeezuz fuk
