It sucks, but it's a trade off. Remember the Vikes were the visitors when they played the New Orleans in London during the 2022 13-4 season and the Saints got screwed. I absolutely DESPISE these international games, but somebody has to be the home team.

Wahh on the east coast we have to stay up til almost midnight for prime time games! I don't want any complaints about an early game on the west Coast. We deal with late games EVERY week on the east Coast! you can get up early for a few weeks in the west it won't Kill you 😁

You don't get to complain about it being so early on the West Coast. Vikings are a CENTRAL time zone team. Jets are an EASTERN time zone game. Maybe cover teams in your region 😛
They do… they cover the big market teams, and the teams who have a “character” that can produce views for them. THATS their team. Whichever one is most successful and gets more attention. Frat boy mentality.
The sports media talking-head bro’s, most specifically, the peaked-in-high school folks at PFF are either actively against the Vikings, or (more likely) so much more concerned with their viewership and other engagement metrics that they will really continue to downplay or ignore the success/talent of the Minnesota Vikings simply because it’s not a large market team, or they don’t have an outspoken “character” on the team that can provide clickbait sound bytes or attention-grabbing headlines. This week is an absolutely perfect example…
They’re 4-0, they have dominated the Giants (not that impressive), the 49ers, the Texans, and the Packers in GB (game really wasn’t close). 3 of the 4 teams were playoff teams last season and SF/HOU especially were/are slated to make deep playoff runs this year. Darnold has been playing at an MVP level while missing his WR2 for a bit, and Hockenson still not being back yet, and the defense has been playing lights-out despite their 2nd round pick CB dying, their CB2 being out for the season, Dallas Turner missing time, and their MLB also being injured.
Meanwhile the Jets, at 2-2 just lost to a team that put up 60 passing yards, and they have a 40 year old QB coming off a major injury last season who they can’t protect in the pocket. The two teams are literally trending in opposite directions right now. But because the Jets QB is the almighty Aaron Rodgers, the regular season MVP who constantly failed in the playoffs, and he makes himself a meme every time he’s got a microphone going off on conspiracy theory tangents… and they’re the NEW YORK Jets, quite literally one of the largest sports markets in the country… the story isn’t, and will never be “the Vikings are/should be favored because…” or “expect Minnesota to…” as it SHOULD be, it’s instead “how will the Jets respond…” and “Can Aaron Rodgers prove…”
It’s cheap, it’s fake, it’s corny, and it does everyone a disservice. People don’t give a shit about 40 year old A-Aron and his thoughts on the government/pharmaceutical industry, and the Jets, despite being in a large market, are just as irrelevant as the current Raiders or Cardinals are. To consistently ignore other teams and make the narrative about Rodgers simply because of his success 3-4 years ago just proves these clowns are nothing but trendhopping ex-frat boys who think the loudest in the room is typically the smartest.
Isn’t PFF the ones who had Bo Nix rated higher than Darnold last week? Nix with his 60 yards passing on 25 attempts compared to Darnolds 275 and 3 tds lol
