Wow I can’t believe this! I was looking up the Opus X cigars today and now you guys are doing a video on these! Now I know it’s meant for me to buy some!! Thank you Mazz!!
This cigar, out of all of the opus X is the hardest to find. The only blend that I can not get my hands on and probably the one that I am most excited about.
Agreed that there are better sticks for better prices BUT those are a dime a dozen... Opus x are more hard to find so I'd rather get rare sticks to put away in my collection, than to stock up on common sticks 😅@@Ahierecigars
@rgj1227 you can start with the Ashton ESG, then you can move to the lost city. Those are the two easiest to find along with the rare pink. But imo the rare pink burns horribly.
@ ok ,thank you , can you give 3 more recommendations if possible? Doesn’t have to be from a Fuente…. Or anyone reading this wanting to recommend any cigar that’s not from Fuente will be appreciated very much
Best cigar b roll I’ve seen from any channel lol, I love how y’all added the guy taking a photo of the cigar, because we definitely do that. Great cigar and video.
Excellent video gentlemen! I thoroughly enjoy seeing you both enjoying super premium cigars and libations while dressed in classy fashion! It keeps our hobby of cigar enjoyment at a higher level than any other hobby. I’m also glad you both lowered your opinions on the “peaty point” of the Scotch because at the beginning of the video it turned me off when Anthony mentioned “smoke and peatyness” two flavors I can’t stand! Especially while smoking a great cigar like the Angels Share! Great job guys!
In am from Belgium and 21 years old and love your content, hope to be able to pass by the shop one time to hopefully meet you guys once!! Much love from here🇧🇪
I suggest you consider the Drew Estate Undercrown Maduro; it may offer a more economical alternative to your usual reviews, yet it remains a consistently satisfying and reliable choice in my experience.
That was awesome , came home grabbed an Angels Share sat outside and opened up UA-cam to see a video from Holt's on the Angel's Share. Almost like I was able to enjoy a smoke with yall ! Cheers!
I've smoked more than my fair share of FFOX, but the Angels's Share is my all time fav. Theres just a note i can't describe. Reminds me of a horse stable thing. A litttle funk in there. Got a 3 pack tin once and it smoked in a week!
Smoked this on my last trip to tampa at this beautiful lounge made of an old church. Grabbed an Ashton ESG and an Anejo to bring back to Canada. The angel share was strong but man was it ever a wonderful smoke. Paired with a diplamatico at the lounge.
It won't give you the kick of spirit but there is a liquor from Africa, world wide available called amarula. You may be familiar with it. It has an elephant on the label. What I absolutely love, like time after time is have a hard spirit to start the ritual, then pour an amarula on ice with a Hemingway, the Cameroon wrapper with the zesty amarula cream.. it's my biggest secret, only shared with Hemingway lovers ... Don't get me wrong an XO or brandy never goes poorly either! Salut.
Do they make mini bottles of the spirits you drink. Just to experiment with cigars. Having new world oscuro with Diplomatico Rum. Have a few days off from nursing home. A new video and fresh cigars is the good life! Keep up pumping out quality videos. You are now my #1 podcast!
I tried a new cigar today H. Upman 1844 special edition barber wrap. I was surprised great cigar when I tasted it I paired it with my sexton Irish whiskey. Perfect ! Yall should try it
Funny you brought up me calling out u out on pouring! Wife got me the O14 for Christmas...initially I was, eh wanted bourbon, then tasted it and was super happy. Very tasty with smokey and fruit balance. Had it with X ff after xmas dinner...perfect. Think I will go with LaAroma CC tonight. Glad you told us you cold drawed...I was like damn, noforeplay, cut and go, lol. Cheers.
The shop I frequent has a "hidden" stash of these tucked away at the bottom of the humidor. I usually check to see if they're still there and seems no one's caught on to them yet. One of these days I'm going to splurge and go for it.
What a gem guys 🔥 I have, what will be my priciest cigar so far, the Opus X Oro Oscuro Rederva D‘Chateu waiting for me in my humidor Any pairing advice here would be appreciated , alcoholic or non alcoholic all good with me I actually got the Oban 14 and the Blantons Original here and was thinking about having one of those with it
Agreed, Arturo Fuente has become my "go to label" and I don't mind paying an extra buck or two for the quality. I find the maduro selection in particular to be superior compared to most commonly known brands within that price bracket. Better than some more expensive sticks I've tried as well. I definitely savor Arturo Fuente cigars more. Dominican cigars are the new "cuban quality" 👍🇩🇴
I got one giving to me last week from a friend and I dropped it later on the floor. 😢 broke the foot and cracked the wrapper pretty good. Super sad. I’ll probably never get one again and I did that. 😢I’ll still try to smoke it.
Great video. I'm new to cigars but so far my favorite is Oliva V melanio and AF Hemingway. I want an Opus X for my 50th but I don't know which blend I should start with. Also, considering God of God
The whole Opus X line are real smokers cigars. There’s a reason they are one of, if not the best cigars lines on the planet. These guys are real smokers. None of the pretentious BS you see a lot.
Wildest cigar story for you. My first opus x was an angel share gifted to me by my friend Anthony. Which I smoked in Florida with another friend named Anthony. And by the time of this video release I am visiting Anthony within this week. Who I also gave an opus x (forbidden X) when he visited me. And now I’m watching Anthony from holts smoking an Opux X angel share. Wild!
Fuente always have that cuban cedar note. Always the closest to Cubans as a whole of any Manufacturer. Hands down. None new world compares. I'd even go as far as Dominican tobacco generally is the closest.
Just need to find a shop that sells a lot of Fuente. Fuente sends OpusX and the other specialties to stores that sell a lot of their regular lines. Number I heard was Fuente ships 1 specialty box for every 25 regular boxes a store sells
I always thought pouring was an ambidextrous thing. At least I'm ambidextrous when it comes to pouring a drink, but I guess that's not the case for everyone lol
It’s interesting to me how your buddy really didn’t know much about flavor profiling. It seemed like he was just there for the ride. Maybe having guests who have valuable input like yourself would be more interesting

That stick is ridiculously good, thank you for a great channel! Greetings from Sweden!
Gents, nice to see y'all finally using Glens for your whiskey!
This is definitely my favorite Opus X cigar, I was lucky to find a few of them a while back.
I couldn't find a damn box of opus x angel share in San Antonio, but I did get 2 boxes of the rare pink 🩷.
I'm smoking one now 💯👏😎

Be and angel and share one with me 👼

when i smoke any opus i get a distinct "popcorn" note. like a buttery saltiness, its subtle

I have a couple of Angel's share opus x do you guys think it would pair well with the Lagavulin 16 I never had oban 14
Great video guys! I’m searching for a sampler to try the OpusX variety. Holt’s is sold out 😕 but…
Which are your guys’ favorite of the Opus lineup?
Alturo Fuente is the cream of the crop when it comes to Dominican Cigars!

Dom cigars are too light. But the opus bumps it up a notch...
How does Oban 14 compare to Lagavulin 16? Personally, for me I find Lagavulin too smokey for my taste
My all time fav Opus. Nothing like it. There is a reason they are impossible to find.
they're definitely in high demand for good reason 💯
How fun is it to keep searching to name a flavour👍🏻
Just got my hands on the rare Montecristo espada oscuro cigar
