Been experimenting with my content, lost a few subs. I promise to keep making awesome anime content that you can all enjoy. Please give me some time to get it right. :)
I enjoy the content you produce on your channel! Especially because you're doing these deep dives into these characters and the story of bleach in general. Which by far is one of the best animes out there. Keep up the good work boss!
I love the symbolism of Komamura’s Granfather devouring his heart, as Komamura turns into a wolf. Representing how Komamura had succumbed to the dark legacy of his clan, as well as his failure to heed the advice he had given to Tosen. Komamura is a very underrated character and I really like how his story ended, even if it was a very tragic end.
Great vid. In the bleach novel WDkALY we learn that Komamura still has his personality even though he cant speak with humans and he brought two young boys from his beast clan to join gotei 13 and he sometimes still hangouts around 7th division baracks.
The irony, he became human only to lose his human form permanently and goes on to live in the mountains free from his duties. His friendship with Tosen is both heartwarming and tragic and in a way represents his own change once Tosen left with Aizen.
The parallel with Tousen is a lot. They both start somewhat as outcasts, then acquire a power that makes them lose their humanity out of revenge. Tousen becomes a hollow and he ends up a wolf... both broke their allocated limit for insatiable power and paid with their life in the end
If I had to give my thoughts. I absolutely love this captain and what he represents. Although a Human form as an ultimate technique seems pretty safe for Kubo. I can only hope in the Animated ver. We get more screentime with him before he ultimately taps out to this new power. I gently feel that this section could be dealt with a lot of improvements maybe ditch the human transformation and make him look more and more feral before turning into a bi-pedal animal. Is the direction I would've taken. As no doubt, revenge begets revenge. He was no different. A hypocrite in living breathing form. He told his best friend to not let revenge change him, but now. He embodied what he said he shouldn't do. Given context clues. I don't see how he'll get out of this cycle of revenge. His desperation led him down this path. I hope to see more of his beast kind around in bleach tho.
@@diamonshade7484 That would be cool, but given the scenario. His elder absolutely hates him. There's no way in my mind. I think he even have enough time or duration for a second fight even! However. I will say this. Even if he turns feral. Still give him that sense of self, let him fight but ultimately be weaker because of his feral state. In exchange for power he is meager, weaker a glass cannon. He's faster but has to pull a "Sith" from dark souls. Where he only fight's with his sword in his jaw or tail or has to use part of his bankai to even attack and must remain in bankai form forever to have the armor hold his sword. There's many directions this could be taken. Kubo obviously wanted to mirror Ichigo zangetsu moment, but in a non-cheery way or opposite of it. Given what happens afterwards. Extending his time would be awesome, there's too much against that extended time. That me as someone who writes characters Daily just don't see it happen with this character. particularly.
You really disregard komamura way too much. Sure he was seeking revenge but like Tosen he didn't abandon his friends or the soul society for the sake of it, he even protected shinji and hinamori from Bambieta's explode. About his revenge, he only wanted to avenge the Head captain who provided him with everything he wanted (respect and identity). Basically like a father figure to him, and if someone killed your father i think you would want to bring justice to them too. Lastly if anything he sacrificed his own life for acquiring the humanization technique not because he was hungry for power or to destroy his opponents but to defend the soul society. So I don't think his character was as bad as you're portraying him to be. Since turning into human form was more of a necessity than desperation. All said I think that he did the right thing but was tangled between his beliefs and intentions which led him to a tragic end. I really hope kubo expands on the beast clan ahead in hell arc so we could learn more about them.
his story always felt 'incomplete' to me, like he was forgotten or something. I am a dog person, and he was my instant fav in the soul society arc, but I think Kubo in general didn't really had a place for him later in the story.. so he just... faded off..
Ummm yea we knew way back that he covered himself due to being embarrassed about how he looked and thought he would never be accepted. It's basically the whole foundation on his and tosens friendship early on. It's even mentioned in the flashback.
Komamura is my favorite captain. Because his a wolf cuz I love wolves. But after watching your character, deep dive I gain a new perspective on him as a captain and character. He doesn't have my favorite bankai but I enjoy Komamura for who he is.
As the Beast Path is one of the Paths of Samsara and the only one in Bleach w no realm,I hope we get more of the Beast clan. Maybe even some sort of returning of Säkin bc he is awesome
Tosen was one of the only people who made fun of how he looked Kenpachi the first to see it only cared about how strong he was he looked so hurt when Tosen called him ugly
first i thought bleach was an ok type anime but after hearing from your channel about its inspiration and writing im like if the author is more confident then i guess it would have easily more famous than Naruto just some good heart felt dialogue
Well, Kubo really did dirty on some Bleach characters. Never been a fan of Sajin though but felt sad for how his story ended. He could have at least killed Bambietta.
The humanization technique seems oddly similar to how Hollows and Arrancars are made. Komamura having to give up his heart to his grandfather to gain this form is akin to how a Hollow is formed after losing their heart and having it turned into their mask. Heck, Arrancars are hollows who had their masks, which were formed from their hearts, ripped off to gain a more human form and power. Komamura's grandfather mentioned that their kin arose when they were unable to accept their fate to dwell in the Beast Realm and stayed in the Soul Society. Kinda like how a soul becomes a Hollow due to lingering attachments or grudges preventing them from passing on to Soul Society. Also, does that mean that souls who live in Soul Society and even the Shinigami can become Beastmen? If going to the Beast Realm is a punishment then does that mean that criminals and those who go against the rules of the Soul Society suffer this fate? If so, why does the Central Underground Prison and Muken exist? Is that where the ritual to transport people to the Beast Realm takes place? Is this sentence reserved for the worst offenders, why wasn't Aizen subjected to it? Does power play a role? How can those who are sentenced to it simply decide not to go at the cost of becoming sentient beasts? If the Human Realm is placed as a lid over Hell, what about Soul Society and Hueco Mundo? Do they cover any other realms? Is the Beast Realm covered by the Soul Society and could it actually be a subsection of Hell? I guess that's why captain class Shinigami and Aizen couldn't be placed there and instead can only go to Hell, the Beast Realm (being a small area of Hell) is not nearly big enough to contain their power.
I love Komamura man, his story is really sad. Kinda that proof that not everyone gets a happy ending. The literal underdog. Bankai wasn't the most innovative thing but I liked that simplicity. He was a great man imo
His Human transformation was a lit yet wasted idea. He wanted to enact revenge on Genryusai's killer yet he only was allowed to defeat (and not even kill) one mid-tier sternritter before getting eliminated from the plot. While chars like Byakuya and Zaraki constantly get all the hype and every single chance, like what the hell? His fight is the one they really need to re-evaluate: let him at least try and fight Yhwach, let him release Yamamoto's bankai by breaking the medallion, let him do anything substantial as Yamamoto's most loyal follower.
I know that he wanted to avenge Yamamoto but in the end I also think he ended up just like him where he saved Hisagi being killed before destroying Bambiette. Yeah he didn’t die & he became an immortal wolf and someone who will always be by his LTs side as he now leads his squad and will watch over the soul society that his mentor (Yamamoto) loved. In saying that I think he followed in yamamotos footsteps instead of Tosens
I always thought that Komamura's human form and Ichigo's Mugetsu/Dangai form are the same technique. both of them had to sacrifice an aspect from their life in order to become really strong for a short period of time (Ichigo had to sacrifice his great responsibility and Komamura had to sacrifice his humanity), not to mention that both of them lost their powers afterwards. Due to that I made a theory that both of them used their "Beyond Bankai" forms since the process of gaining a power greater than Bankai and the consequence of gaining said power are very similar to each other.
Tragic is the word I would describe Sajin. Wanted to avenge Yamamoto by selling his morals, ethics and humanity in exchange for power. Only after defeating his opponent he loses everything and literally became a wolf.

@@sukuna716 like I said: every time he tries to do anything he screams his beliefs and how something is fucked up then he releases his bankai and boom fucked over. Tybw is like the only time he succeeds in anything but still gets fucked over before fully accomplishing something. In tybw it’s like the only time we actually kill somebody. Bount arc he got washed. Rukia rescue he got washed. The zanpakutou arc he got washed. He’s a cool dude but highly distracted
@@Whooptywoop so your counting filler ?? Anyways apart frm aizen who did he truly get beat by and dont say Tosen cause he didn't want to kill him
What a tragic character. He deserved so much more than to just be turned into an analogy.
i just he battled someone better like a gerard or someone higher ranked
👍👍👍👍👍🇵🇭
Why is he the only furry in the whole series? An incoherency that have to be answered first.
I’m completely forgot his role in the blood arc! I disliked that beast guy for basically getting Tousen killed, but that consequence for power was really tragic. Both he and tousen were born cursed which is really fucked and makes me wish i had a homie…
Komamura is a beast literally and metaphorically
