I just picked up this yarn in a variety of colors today. I immediately made a washcloth in basic Tunisian stitch. It turned out great, but not a cloth I would use for my face. For the body - most definitely! I think I’ll make some baskets and coasters out of the rest. And yes, it would also make a very hearty dish sponge 🧽

Lion Brand, I am very excited about this Just Hemp, Truboo, and Pima Cotton yarns, but none of them have a black colorway. I mostly work only with black and use grey for accents, so I haven’t been willing to purchase any of these yarns that only have medium and light grey color choices (for me). I hope you expand the colors available for these yarn lines in the future. Hooray for exciting fiber choices!
Would love to get some white hemp yarn and dye bold RED, YELLOW and PINK ;D with turmeric , beetroot and just experiment ; ) to make animal blankets, beds , and toys etc I love really bright vibrant colours , these are all nice too
I am new to crochet, but am interested in doing a fedora. While researching the idea of using hemp, I found this video, which makes it seem like it'll be a little too floppy to make a proper fedora. From your experience with this yarn, do you think it'll keep its shape in a hat form?
‘trying to be more environmentally conscious’ - once yo know what are in synthetic yarns, the last thing you want is to work for years creating toxic wearables for those you claim to love.

Is the yarn color shows up the same as the video? Cause it’s really different on the website. May I ask which one is true?
Wow, beautiful colours. Wish I could stock up on them right now. Will have to wait until I get a new job.
I feel your pain! I am on disability and it's really hard to save up for all these new yarns ✌

Is this/ Will this be available at JoAnn?

Oh yeah, I saw it last week. I thought the skeins would have been bigger. 🤷♂️

Then it should be inexpensive. Hemp is cheap to produce. If its more than 3.99 a skein. It's over priced.
I just looked on LB website, it's $8.99!
yikes! too pricey for my wallet. looks splitty??
