This has to be by far the best 560 sec I've seen to date. Damn man those engine and exhaust notes are intoxicating, and those seats!!!! Freakin spaceship!
Thank you for showing us another sought-after Mercedes right now. I've been seeing these 560 SEC resurface over the past few years. They were ahead of there times and Mercedes really knew what they were doing when they made it back in the 1985/86.
The best .. the biggest .. ever to do this !not possible to replicate or imitate the first and last nothing is forsale... love that you guys use Pierre every episode is pure gets the heart pumping
What a gorgeous car, love the story behind it - it was one of my favorite cars from Alyehli's collection, I've got several posters of it - absolutely thrilled that you will carry on the torch of history. As a day one fan, I'm excited to learn more about the story behind the origins of the Patina Collective - cant wait to hear it. Greatly enjoy your work as usual, highlight of my Sundays! #Blessed
Nice video. Nice car. Congratulations on acquiring another rare 80’s Benz. Nothing like having a person like Pierre that knows how to work on classic Benz’s
This is an amazing coupe! The seats are Recaro C's and they were built like that. They cost a mint back then so, you know if AMG got your order for them, they were at least 3 times the cost.
I was 16 years old when this car came out in 1989 I want that year model and it’s always been the car of my dreams. I knew I wanted it when I saw it on the show room floor of the Philadelphia International Auto Show. I would like to own one. I would love ❤️ to come to your place and purchase one
Back in the late 80's we had a 500SEC AMG which belonged previously to Ayrton Senna as his car in the UK. We bought it from Snetterton Racing Circuit in Norfolk, England and it had been tuned further than it's standard AMG mods with trick suspension and brakes. That was a car I only wish I still owned! The 500SEC's were in a class of their own and so far ahead of their time!
Your collection and coverage of various MB 560 SECs, being someone that was a teenager in the late 80s during the Miami Vice era, is an avalanche of fond memories dreaming about them while perusing the pages of The Robb Report magazine classifieds. I don't care what anyone says, the 80's and early 90's German, Italian, English, and even some Japanese cars were pure wet dreams when it was all raw adrenaline and driving skill. The SEC especially was total beast mode. I don't care about hypercars or 0-60 in the time it takes to blink, or top speed of 250 mph+ where everything is touch screen, and over engineered with electronics that would fill a stadium and wiring that would reach to the moon and back...give me a late model AMG 560 SEC wide body sex on wheels any day.
Another amazing and very special car from the Patina Collective collection, such a treasure 😍 I love this kind of videos. I hope you can do it more, so we can learn the details about your cars, their design, engineering, tunning and history. This video was amazing, can't wait to see this SEC fully restored. Until then, I hope to ear the history of how the Patina Collective begun 😎 Kind regards
You could get some E24's factory equipped with that same style of recaro, of course, minus the AMG badge :P What a gorgeous spec SEC that is, wicked swap too!
i have a car like this but all original only saw once a AMG maybe in 89 from a dutch friend and it had engine diferencies allthough both were 5.0L engine or the other AMG was a 5.6 engine changed to AMG specifications made by Mercedes in germany ,mine is 500SEC it was for a lot of years my favorite car, but in 94 i bought the new body still called 600SEC V12 ,later in 96 they start to call them CL600 and the next model looked cheap but they assure me that it was the same model only the front seemed like the c coupés from Brazil and the back the E -class, i didn´t bought it but in 2007 maybe in june i bought the AMG s-class coupé that already seemed a S-class coupé, a very nice car with some strange sport seats but confortable no doubt it is a AMG ,it looked like steel and some pads in leather in specific points that as i said very confortable, i colect the coupé since 1965 but i have older mercedes mainly from late 50´s to the 80´s after only bought the coupés from S-class and the w124 coupé 3.0L 24 valves which is also very nice, the one that got away was the 500E made by Porshe but were a limited edition
This beauty needs a qualified dermatologists to bring the body back to life with some nice treatment! In any event, the engine is healthy and drives nice.
We have the original motor.. what makes it special is that nobody’s ever transplanted an M119 6 L inside a widebody sec. Especially one that came with an original 117.
@@PatinaCollective a quick google search and you’ll find a few 126’s with M119 engine swaps, I can’t find a wide body but that’s irrelevant. I’m probably wrong but in my opinion the value is in originality. The coolest 126 I’ve ever seen was in the Netherlands, it had an M120 conversion.
When the U-Brackets on the hood get bowed it gets harder for the hood to close properly in locked position without slamming it. You can hammer them straight again and use spacer shims to get them back in spec
Patina Collective Museum is going to be amazing with all of these historic pieces of Benz history!!
And none of us are invited as they like to remind
@@josepha3116 i think itll change one day 😉

Beautiful Video, definitely post more in this style with the background behind these Unicorns 🌐🫡
The Patina Collective, aka the stable for the Benz unicorns.
M119 one of the best Mercedes motors of all time. Mercedes also admits that.
Amazing car. What a sound 👍👌
Just put a sim card in my tablet so I can watch your videos from my holiday in Thailand. Keep 'em coming!
Now this is a story I like. Swapping to a M119 to a C126 might be a trend now.

Flawless, absolutely flawless
Palm trees and Benz'zz... what a lifestyle! I have a '94 E420 black on black.. but no Palm trees. Remember guys, Motors are electric.
Awesome car and love the swap, an ME1 COP EMS would put this over the top! Keep rolling.......
Truly and iconic car!! As beautiful today as the day it was produced!! 🌹❤😎
Couldn't agree more!
Can’t wait to see the results after painting the W126 SEC in 904 Dunkelblau 💪
Those look like the Recaros from an E60 AMG Hammer obviously in W126 coupe format! Very rare indeed!
mashallah, this is a big man's car, u need to be 'somebody' not 'anybody' to own such a car
Beautiful car, man!
This is TREASURE.
GREAT CHANNEL !!!!!

ONLY GOD CAN!! LOVE THAT SHIT BRO! MOTIVATION!!
Amazing car and those seats are the strawberry on top💪
You guys should use the background music of "Noizy" with the song called "Big Body Benzo"
Love u guys watch all your videos but just because it's the 6.0 doesn't make it a hammer.
Beautiful coupe, it's a rare color in this country. 904 dunkel blau. I happen to have a Euro spec 500SEC in this color with BBS RS wheels. Love it!
We got to ride around in that complete monster of a car 👌 🔥
best engine for that car!
BAD ASS - building a 6.0 myself
How far have you got. I have a complete unit I build on the garage floor
What a machine 🙏
Amazing car and looking forward to hearing the origins of PC… What is the color code? By far the best color combo on any SEC ever imo
Hi guys pure passion for displacement V8 enjoy
I had no idea Bu Rames had C126, I've known of his W126 Hammer DOHC.
Wow mashala
Matt Farrah really let himself go

Mercedes Benz👑👑👑👑
Came from tik tok, stayed for the music and cars, cool af
what's the music's name?
Perfect
Great car and story. Can we still qualify it as a "Hammer", considering that the "Hammers" are recongnized by their M117?
Most of the C124 6.0’s are M119 cars and are all considered hammers.
Gentlemen. What are those buttons on the Recaro/AMG seats? I could not find any UA-camrs explaining the details of Recaro/AMG seats from stock seats
We will do a video on it
This beauty needs a qualified dermatologists to bring the body back to life with some nice treatment! In any event, the engine is healthy and drives nice.

How does not having the original engine make it super special? Wouldn’t it be more special with its original engine?

Bro I just wanna buy one car from ya if u still have the ali ali 850 I’d buy that if your not taxing crazy for it
Krazy.
3:43 The thing that traumatises me is how you slam the hood closed.
If you ever owned a 126 you would know this is the only and proper way to close The hood
@@PatinaCollective lol, I own a 500SEC, there's no need to slam them that hard.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Is that gem for sale?
Nothing for sale

Don't slam the hood(bonnet)...lower it and push down in center firmly!
When the U-Brackets on the hood get bowed it gets harder for the hood to close properly in locked position without slamming it.
You can hammer them straight again and use spacer shims to get them back in spec
