Hello, please about the cash receipt and cash payments, I thought the only transactions in an adjusted cash book are for bank not cash? So why are we correcting a cash column error under the bank error

On 20th june, a cheque for N228 was received from a customer in settlement of an invoice for N240. An entry of N240 was made on the cash book. Sir please help, I don’t know if it’s an undercast or something else
The customer has overpaid his/her debt so you will credit the difference in your cash book
Please how does one know where to place the balance brought down, forward, carried down and forward

Sir how did you get 51200 I thought that you calculated 8400+17400+36700 under uncredited cheques which is 62500 how then do you come up with 51200 ? that is what is confusing me here pls throw more light on that.

How to know your BRS n adjusted cashbook are correct
Please if the question doesn’t give you the b/f of the cash book but has overdraft how do you start your adjusted cashbook
Balance b/f will be on the credit side of the adjusted cashbook
