Thanks for sharing. I love the idea❤. New subscriber here. Keep up with the innovative ideas!
You're welcome! BTW there's a few more organizer videos on Next Level Carpentry that use those square fence posts like this one: ua-cam.com/video/IxrmHpCwjPM/v-deo.html
"Explosion in a toothpick factory." Quite the funny visual!
Making something out of (almost) nothing by using tool number one, your brain, and what you have scattered about. That is beauty.
Caulking was a trade in itself at one time. Invisible joints are the goal for fine finishing
I’m about to build drawers for my workshop to tame the madness and this is a perfect organization system at that perfect time. Thanks!
You're sure welcome Justin.
FWIW organizers I made for this video and others are working out great and are more than worth the time I spent making them and getting organized...
This guy is soooo good. I’ve been into woodworking videos on UA-cam for years but only ran into him yesterday. Addicted now.
Welcome to Next Level Carpentry Ryan... hope you find useful stuff here for your projects... and entertainment?

You really should have millions of viewers!! Very informative and meticulously done!
Help spread the word about Next Level Carpentry for me? Together we'll get to the million subscribers milestone, Will! Much appreciated! Best, Matt
Impressive. Organization is the same as strategy. Strategy is the planning we use to help us play the game of life. This sure gave me some inspiration.
The vinyl fence posts, cut on your table saw into longitudinal halves, then cut on your miter saw to drawer lengths is genius and everybody can do this. Thanks.
I *love* your “out of the box” ideas and use of materials.
I really appreciate those who find ways to use existing materials to make unrelated things work better. Great idea!
After 25yrs as an Industrial Engineer this idea ranks in the top 10. Kudos. Be well.
Thank you so much for these great ideas watching in Limerick City Ireland ❤
Great idea! It is your attention to detail that gives satisfaction and keeps me watching.
Thanks Jeremy... there's plenty more like this on Next Level Carpentry... enjoy! Best, Matt
Using the vinyl fencing is an awesome idea. Thanks for sharing!
Glad to see you're not a purist when it comes to materials for drawer dividers. I recently salvaged a discarded metal tool chest, and after I lugged it home and did some clean-up, I remembered this video. A quick trip to a local vinyl fence supplier netted me a big pile of scrap pieces; now all I need is a bit of glue and a lot of elbow grease! Thanks for sharing your expertise.
Very cool Carl! Glad to hear you were able to find scrap from a fence company because sadly this whole concept can be cost prohibitive if the only option is to buy new materials and then just cut it up into small pieces.
Since you got the material for free you should be able to justify getting some of that special vinyl adhesive because although it's a little bit pricey it really does do a great job.
Good luck with your project and make sure to check out other videos on Next Level carpentry where I make portable organizers Etc out of that same material...
Best, Matt
@@NextLevelCarpentry Matt: Funny thing is, the guy at the fence supply place who actually gave me the scraps told me that someone else had recently been there with the same idea... Another Next Level Carpentry viewer? Per your suggestion: Since the FREE tool chest is probably worth a few hundred bucks, and the vinyl scraps were also FREE, I guess I can afford to spend lavishly on a bit of vinyl glue!
@@carlgradolph9676 your parsimonious approach to the project makes me smile! 😁👍💯
Good to see you still going strong in these trying times Matt. Always a trick up your sleeve to make things a little better and more efficient. 👍
Absolutely love this method! And the humor!
As always, a very useful yet rather super-efficient way to organize any shop or Kitchen for that matter. What I like about this is the universality of adapting to both the available space and the items to be organized. This is especially great for drawer space if all heights
Motivating me to get busy organizing my shop - I like your ideas a lot. Thanks, Matt

Great idea on using that material.. thanks so much for sharing!!
Brilliant idea, well executed. The thing I love the most about experienced woodworkers and carpenters is their talent for scrounging and “repurposing” as we describe it today. Thank you for posting.
I really enjoyed this.
That file drawer is a thing of beauty, as was the dad joke that went with it!
Fantastic idea.
Amazing info! I haven't seen this before. I love organizing and was looking for something to do kitchen drawers. I should do this for the tool chests in the garage if needed. Can't wait to try it for my art supplies as well. Thanks!
Nicely done. I'll give it a go. Thanks
this is the best system for a diy thank you
Great idea! I was getting ready to start making dividers out of 1/4 " ply. Using your idea instead. THANKYOU
Wonderful ideas, thank you!
Love this idea especially for custom wooden shop drawers where you don’t need to get finicky like you did with the metal drawers. I prefer 3D printed organizers for hardware though. I might use this for general tool storage though. Cheers!
Absolutely the best idea to organize any set of drawers, whether in the shop or in the home that I have ever seen. Great video showing all the details to insure a successful execution of this project. I’ll have to contact some vinyl decking businesses to see if the have any scrap fence posts.
Excellent! Thank you so much for sharing! This is absolutely brilliant!
Thanks, Matt! I'm about to make the same type of move you did, along with acquiring a couple of similar tool chests. Perfect timing to view this video!
You're welcome! Hope you're able to find some scrap PVC fencepost parts because I've found these to work great for organizing the tool chests.
The vinyl part material is a novel idea. I inherited my father-in-law's rolling tool cabinet, and is like to add this kind of organization. Thank you for sharing, and God bless you.
Awesome work. Thanks for the tips!
I love how you show the different ways to modify the trays for inteference
Loved the last bit of advice for Ol Abe! Your videos have me really looking forward to building my own shop. Long relaxing hours building things is my retirement plan! Thanks!
Enjoy building that shop! Working in a shop doesn't always provide 'long relaxing hours' but does usually provide a great sense of accomplishment and related satisfaction so I wish you well as you transition... Best, Matt
This is by far the fastest, easiest and therefor most likely the best drawganizing I've ever seen. Thanks man!
Brilliant.
Outstanding video!! Thanks for the tips
Thank you very much for your insights whole video I just picked up some fencing for my house and in the shop I ask them for spare pieces and they were very happy to give it to me
