My name is Steve but I like to be called random, I live in Manchester I have two beautiful girls which mean the world to me but like many fathers in this world there are humans which will stop a loving father seeing their own children. I work full time as a bus driver somewhere in Manchester.
I'm a strong believer in mental health, especially men to encourage people to talk about their problems and issues and hopefully to save lives,what keeps me going and gives me hope and strength is my beautiful fiance, my two dogs and my family and my lifesaver this channel.

I do black cabs in London, last 4 years and i have only ever done a 40.hour week, no weekends. Even just doing a 40 hour week previously it was a decent wage , now fast forward to this year and money and work levels are dropping rapidly for those hours , even with a big meter increase. Sorry but this industry is in serious decline

I have been doing it for three and half years 6 days a week. Gained 4.5 stone in weight and type 2 diabetes. If i could turn back the clock i would never do it. I have 14 months left on my car finance. The final nail in the coffin is come 2020 due to the clean air zone, i have to change my vehicle which is still on finance to comply with the emission requirements or else they won't plate my vehicle. Rant over it was nice to see you again wish you all the best for the future and thank you for the video on tax it helped me a lot.

Do you reckon it would work out if I already drive from e.g. Birmingham to Stoke on Trent and then back so i.e. if I could do 2 drop off's a day would it be worth it? i.e. I work in Stoke, Derby, and other areas generally 50 miles away from home. Since I have to pay for petrol as it is for work..would it make sense to do uber or does the insurance and cost of it all not work out that well? I also have a brother that works in Wales.

i'm a private hire licensed drive. I operate 3 minibuses. There is more money to be made with a minibus than a private hire car. For example. I get to quote prices on a per person basis which to the customers can seem to be good value over a taxi. For example, A private hire car charge either by the meter or fixed price and doesnt normally charge extra for each passenger. A private hire car/taxi upto 4 passengers Picking up in Peterlee, Co Durham taking them to Sunderland City Centre. It is £14 fixed fare one way in the car. Where as I would quote £15 per person return. I can carry upto 16 passengers in one of my minibuses. So thats a £240 return.
I have a regular contract taking football fans to the Sunderland home games using 2 minibuses. The Distance is 11 miles each way. We get £210 per minibus, £420 for taking upto 32 passengers 44 miles in total. Cost in fuel is around £13 per minibus. Total run time is 22 minutes towards Sunderland, 33 minutes heading back away from Sunderland. Not including the 'DEAD' miles from our base in Sunderland to Peterlee and then from Peterlee back to base. In total, from base, to pickup, to drop off, I am based outside the Stadium of Light on the Industrial Estate. So effectively, it is a 44 mile run around trip per minibus. The minibuses are still free for other jobs during the match if wanted. I pay the other drivers £9.90 per hour and it is 4 man hours for the job, £39.60 wages and £30 for fuel in both minibuses. Leaves £350 for maintenance, insurance, road tax, licensing and profit. Also, up here, the taxi rates are one of the lowest in the UK not including UBER. If I used one of our owner drivers that or on our books, they invoice me as they are 'self employed' They invoice me ranging from £120 to £150 per minibus.
I am looking to expand into the Manchester area as we do a lot of work out of Manchester Airport and Liverpool Airport.
We are looking for an owner driver who would ideally live close to either Manchester or Liverpool who will be self employed and can also find and do their own work also.
A private hire license is not required as we are operating as PSV and not taxi.
The driver would need to have at least a D1 driving license and a drivers CPC and DIGI card.
The driver will be responsible for owning the vehicle and the upkeep of the vehicle.
They also be in charge of their own hours (within reason).
They will be operating under our license so must conduct themselves properly.
They can carry their own sign writing on their own vehicle(s) if they wish.
There are no age or colour restrictions.
They must not attempt to steal our customers by giving them your card for instance. We will pass on the drivers mobile number to any customers you be picking up so they can be in direct contact with the driver.
All payments will be made by card except for tips. However, the odd customer may insist paying in cash and you must be prepared to do so at the beginning of your journey.
If any of our customers had paid you in cash, you are responsible for keeping these monies save. The driver must contact ASAP after they are cleared of the drop off and make arrangements to deduct their agreed amount for the job and pay us the remainder.

You do not need to already own a vehicle, it is upto the interested party if they would want to purchase or to lease/rent a vehicle.
