- The Slö just got Slöer! Walrus Audio has finally made our ambient dreams come true. Introducing the stereo Slöer! Along with the classic algorithms and functions such as Dream, Dark, and Rise, we get two new programs called Rain and Light! There is also a Width toggle that allows you to control how wide the stereo signal is. The new X sliders adds a fun new way to dial in specific parameters for each program. Plug in this ambient dream of pedal, play slö, and see where the slöer takes you!
came for a demo, stayed for the music.
Means a lot man, thank you! 🙏🏽
The Light mode is one of the best “shimmer” effects I’ve ever heard
I totally agree it was very well designed!
8:50 bro that's fire!
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Finally stereo. Will definitely be adding to my board. ❤
I know!! It’s what we’ve all wanted haha. You’ll enjoy it!
Such amazing work. The intro was especially beautiful.
Thank you! That means a lot 🙏🏽
Beautiful and cinematic
@@81realtime thanks! This thing was made for it
Have this pedal arriving tomorrow. Can’t wait, great video !
Epic! You’ll love it
That beginning sequence illustrates how this pedal is "Robin Guthrie in a box".
That is epic! Well said, and thanks for watching 🙏🏽
Absolutely beautiful playing man
Thanks! Love this thing
You sold this pedal to me. I give you full credit.
Haha man that’s epic! You’ll love. Walrus killed it with this thing!
And me. Sounds so lush!
Sloer is bliss🖤
It is bliss! Instant vibe when engaged
thank You
Thanks for watching!
wow light and rise are like the best
I know I absolutely love light!
Sounds awesome!
It’s so good! Thanks for watching man 🙏🏽
1. Could listen to this literally all day. Might do so.
2. How would you say this handles shorted delay verb? Say for a normal churchy sound or rhythm part? Curious if I need this instead of my cloudburst!
Hey! Thanks so much, that means a lot. And yea totally! You’d just have to make sure the decay and mix knob were lower. I’d recommend dream for churchy/hall reverb and then rain for some spring verb sounds. And yea I’m not sure if the cloudburst has presets, but you could have a chill reverb preset, ambient preset and then a really wacky or crazy reverb!
One of the best. I like revelation v2 and golden. But this could be it too.
It’s so good! And me too man, I love the Revelation V2! I have it on my travel board
Love that this is in stereo, but as I already have a Slotva, not sure if this one will join the board…a “problem” I suspect many of us will have.
Yea man the stereo addition is amazing! I love that they have added the stereo width toggle and two new programs. That Light program has become my favorite for sure. And the faders are super fun to mess with. You should definitely try on of these out though!
I came to learn but got distracted by the music. I learnt nothign. Now I subscribed and am going to share the f*** out of this. Gonna listen a few times
😂 that is too funny. Thanks man, that means a lot!
They also have a limited edition that came out that has different graphics, it's my least favorite of the 3 but it's what the pedal does that's most important!
Nice! I don’t think I’ve seen that one yet. But yea totally! I really dig this black one though
First reverb pedal where the tails didn't sound harsh to me!!!
That is awesome! Super important with ambient reverbs
@@nobesmusic 🥳🥳🥳🥳
hey plug goodwood audio, I'm come across a video, they're putting a midi in these
@@anthonyman8008 love the good wood audio long line
Hey, nice demo. Sounds amazing. Which delay pedal would you recommend pairing with the Slöer? Thanks.
Thanks a lot! It’s an epic pedal. I used the arp - 87 and it was killer, but if you want to add to the stereo imagine the D1 is really cool with the Sloer!
@@nobesmusic Yeah, I was thinking the D1. Thanks heaps for the reply. 👍
@@jamesthomas70 for sure! Thanks for watching
How would you compare this to the R1? I mostly use the R1 for out of this world sounds but somehow the Slöer resonates more with my idea of sound. 😊
Hey! I actually have both on my board now! I use the R1 for normal reverb sounds and some ambient and then the Sloer is decked out for the crazy sounds. I’d say definitely try out the slower if you mainly want to get sounds like that!
🤙
🤙🏽
Better than GFI Tempus/Skylar?
I haven’t played through the skylar at all, but this definitely has more options and is in stereo. I think the Skylar is in mono only. The GFI Tempus is amazing though! I’d say it’s hard to compare because it also does delay as well and is midi controlled. So with the tempus, you do get more of those features, but it seems like you can dial more specific parameters with the sloer. And the five algorithms do cover a lot! I’d say if you need midi go for the tempus, but if your good with 3 presets definitely try out the sloer cause it’s magic ✨
@@nobesmusic Thanks, should have been more specific. I´m only interested in one thing and that is the "larger than life" reverbs and how smooth the tails are and how these compare to Tempus/ Skylar. Skylar is stereo in/out as well btw and has the most important reverb algorithms from Tempus.
@@analogholic3651 you are so right! I didn’t know it was stereo via trs. I just saw the single input and output jacks and thought it was mono. But yea I’m not sure I’d be the best to compare those units since I haven’t had to much experience with them
@@nobesmusic What I really dig about the Slöer is that it has this extra modulation/Vibrato controlled via the slider that can be used in tandem with the "regular" modulation. Also that you can choose the rate and waveforms for the "regular" modulation. So many great choices these days...hope I can find a dealer that has both so I can compare...Tempus is out of production so Skylar
@@analogholic3651 yea that’s the one thing I do know. It seems like you can really dial in some specific parameters
The volume disparity between your voice and the music is unpleasantly large. Awesome demonstration though!
Thanks for the advice and for tuning in!
if only there was a preset option u.u
There are! You have 3 onboard presets you can save
