Nice demo. I liked your approach. Thanks so much for focusing on the attributes of the pedal and NOT thrashing about or subjecting us to excessive noodling, etc….I subscribed because you know the product well. Did not waste our time, but gave us some personality while focusing on the pedal. Cheers!
I'm usually not so much into Reverb but this is a cool pedal! I also like that they didn't cram it into their smaller pedal housing, with this double size you can actually step on the footswitches without hitting everything else aswell (i also use the V1 Monument Tremolo instead of the V2 for that reason)
Love the layout. I have a Big Sky and I have such a love/hate with Strymon and the deep menus. This geezer is into dream pop and shoegaze and learning some new tricks. They needed to bring the sell price to $299.
I was debating between this and the big sky, and I just bought this one, do you think it's redundant to own a big sky as well as this? Or should I fork it over for a strymon too? Or return this bad boy for the bigger bad boy the strymon?
Already have a Slotva but also want this as well. I can see myself setting the Slotva set tasteful to play at the same time as the Sloer when you let the trails run. That way you done have the flat sound over the ambience. Just trigger the Slotva while you hold the trail.
This pedal is so awesome! If I didn't already have the Microcosm, I'd have to get this and the Fable (I got the Lore). They're just too good. Also, painter's tape is the perfect diffuser for those bright Walrus lights. It's especially helpful if you have five Walrus pedals on at the same time and you don't want to get blinded.
I have the mono version of this pedal. In my opinion it’s one of the greatest reverb pedals ever made. The tone I feel is very natural. You notice the naturalness of the pedal more when playing through a synthesizer.
Hey man thanks for this demo, I just ordered my Slöer! I have been waiting for a stereo version since the first one came out :) btw, what are those amp clamps you're using for the mics on your JC-40? I'd love to get a setup like that for mine!
It's a fab pedal !!! I have a big sky and a cloudburst ... it's got a different voice from strymon ... i wonder if i should part with the big sky as the cloudburst fits more snuggly in the pedal board
Stereo awesome sauce incarnate! When did blindingly bright LED’s become the standard? Maybe I should start selling indicator light shades for pedals. 🤔 It’s better er
what are the input levels from this pedal like in the JC40 FX send/ return ?? something to consider as some pedals sound very thin and don't sound like they should in an FX loop...
I want to thank you Clown Boy, you just saved me $349. I have the original Slo and I don't care about stereo, am happy with the 3 secondary functions ,so the test for me were the new modes. Unlike what you said, "Dream" is part of the original set of 3 modes. The added ones are "Rain" and "Light". The former seemed totally unremarkable and for the latter I've gotten to the point of never wanting to hear shimmer 'verb again! Preset saving would be nice but not enough to fork out $349.
When I got my Slötvå here in Oregon, purchased directly from the designer/manufacturer in Oklahoma, I asked my translate app from California how to pronounce the Swedish, and it was accurate.
To be honest I'm a bit underwhelmed by this... does nothing an older eventide rack can't do and won't sound as pristine. Don't trust the converters in these... I mean if the pots are cheap surface mounted....
Strum a chord, hit sustain and sit, contemplating Life, The Universe, and Everything. Great demo, Andy!
And what a wonderful thing the universe is to contemplate!
Thanks

Oooh for a reverb junkie like me this is cool.Power to the Fro Andy!
Very cool indeed! Thanks and enjoy that Slöer!
Your review has convinced me to pull the trigger on this pedal. Awesome video. Love your work. Peace be with you always.

I need this pedal, this is my all time favourite guitar sound. I think an ambient sound, is the most beautiful guitar sound. ❤️🎸

I'm only halfway thru, but adding MIDI controls over stretch and the other variables/knobs could be amazeballs.
Awesome device and a great review.

Cool review. Thank you.
You’re welcome
Chris!
The Rain mode and the clock seem as if Walrus was taking some cues from the Chase Bliss Mood.
Thank you for pronouncing Slöer correctly, and nice demo!

Those are some good pedals! I wish that LED was a little softer on the eyes

The microcosm is definitely going to be my next pedal. I have the sloer and it's a great pedal!
They should have the latch option for all of them.
Love this guy
Wow congrats on the 80K subs!! Nice videos!
Thank you!
Excellent demo well done.

They are the Gravity Cab Clamps - thmn.to/thoprod/435574?offid=1&affid=288
The work great but need to be put on tightly
Cool pedal. Wide stereo is definitely the way to go!
It's a fab pedal !!!

Love this reverb!!! At about $600 in Canada.... I won't be getting one anytime soon. :0/
Nice natural sounding shimmer.
This plus looper would probably allow you to play all sorts of music with a guitar.
Oh yes!
In fairness to the Walrus folks it does sound like you're saying slöer-er 💞but absolutely fantastic video, thanks for this!
Stereo awesome sauce incarnate!

It’s better er
A wide ambient stereo verb / dly field with a dry center is way too easy to loose time in.
Amen!
Painter's tape matches mine
Like floating on a cloud. That a ton of options on one pedal.
Get a JC22. I have one and it's stereo like it's bigger brothers. Hands down the best little amp.
Has a bit of a Dark World vibe
They should have the lock option for all the modes
what are the input levels from this pedal like in the JC40 FX send/ return ?? something to consider as some pedals sound very thin and don't sound like they should in an FX loop...
Shame that the latch disables the reverb on your signal.
Had to stop by the GEEKIEST CHANNEL on earth! Sold me on the slur Sloer!
This is the guy from Shut Up and Sit Down in a wig. You can't convince me otherwise.
I love that they borrowed the sliders from the Fundamental series.
yeah I hope to see more faders on pedals
Yea I own thin now haha, good review!
if you're just using it through an amp, is it worth it for the stereo version?
Answer to this is in the video
@@TheGuitarGeek Thanks. Caught it the second time through. lol.
Is true stereo o just dual mono?
robin guthrie in a bottle
Just ♥it and your peak performance...
Thanks Phil. This pedal and me gelled well!
Goodwood audio will put a midi on it
Hehe... Your #1 was labeled #2.... So you have two number 2s. ;) Man I think I need this pedal though....
Oh dang… thanks!
Is that a deluxe 2014 strat?
Or the new player plus colour?
Player plus - links in the Video description
Oh bloody hell
The only correct ambient reverb is a stereo one. And sliders on a pedal is always a win, so there’s that.
This!!! We got a good one here!!!👆
I won't and you can't make me! :)
hahahaha. you sure about that?!?!?? 😀
No friends, that’s most of us guitarists, hardly anyone to jam with 😢
True. In a band now, but we can't even find a bloody drummer because everyone wants to play covers and we don't.
Bob Ross, is that you?

Well, time to trade up my Slotva.
This is a good move.
Awesome, but it's not a slotva
No friends😂......😢
You can see the pot wobbling at 3:50 when he rotates it ! Terrible build quality
You obviously live in a place where people know what an umlaut does, unlike American reviewers
Austria! G'day mate!

blabla blabla bla bla bla bla bla bla
I like my women like my reverb. Wide and wet.
