- I picked up some stuff from Wet Paint and I got to see some old friends at the Sidewalk Sale. Scott from Wet Paint put together a mystery bag of things he thought I'd like to try out. Here is a sampling of the great stuff Scott picked out.

With pens like that, it’s best if you allow the ink to wick up through the entirety of the core. It tends to soak up around the edges first, so it can appear to be saturated but the ink may not have reached the center yet. I like to let mine sit for a couple of minutes and then I’ll even flip it over sometimes and let that end sit, just to be sure I’ve gotten all the ink into the core that I can.
Great tip. Thank you very much.
Thanks Marty for renewing my Wet Paint Art summer sale envy… ❤️🙀👍😁Nothing like it here, but I think my husband is glad about that. Hope all is well there. It’s about time for the summer heat here. My husband has been playing lots of golf and tennis early to beat the heat and that gives me plenty of art time. 🔆
You should visit sometime my friend. I’d give you a guided tour. Hope you’re enduring the heat over there in West Texas.
@@owingsartit would be fun to visit and I would get in so much trouble at Wet Paint. The heat here is ramping up but at this time we also have humidity too. That is hard on us, we just aren’t used to it but the extra rain has been appreciated. Hope the farmers do well this year. Are you retired yet? I keep hoping for more videos. Hey we can dream.
@@essietangle9931 The humidity is the killer with high heat, it just sucks the energy out. Not quite retired yet, but I can see the horizon. Trying hard to generate some replacement income with my YT and art. A work in progress as they say. Hope you are able to escape the heat when you can.
Nice tour of the great things in this haul!
Great stuff there! Thanks for sharing!
Cool stuff Marty.
Thanks Doug. ❤️👍🏼😊
@@owingsart what an interesting book!
Nice staff★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆
Thanks
The color of that ink is amazing!
I thought so to. I’m trying out some other Japanese inks now as well. Can’t wait to share.
Nice haul Marty. Can’t wait to see what all you create with everything. 😊 Hope all is well my friend. 😊
Thanks Shannon. Miss ya my friend.
Interesting haul. I am going to have to pick up a pad of that natural paper and the bookmarks. Lost the audio tho. Have fun with your new stuff!
I love Dominant Industry, their inks are so pretty. The Base Black in particular is a really dense neutral black with a fun green sheen. Those Karappo pens are really fun too, I have a few of the bullet tip variety.
This just makes me want to try more of their inks!!! 😊😜
Hi Marty, it's so good to hear from you !!!!
Thank you!!!
That lovely triad of DS gauche should look dynamite in that toned multimedia paper!
Now you’re just making me want to do that!!! 😊👍🏼👍🏼
christmas in june?? i love the claire fontane mixed media papers , for my gouache paintings. the colors of the paper are so interesting to me, and they hold up beautifully to the gouache ... thx for the video, Marty !! Nora Kag 👍👍🤣
Hi Nora - Thanks for the comments. I need to test it out some more, but it seems like nice paper.
Nothing like a mystery, and trying to make something with what you have on hand! Hope all is well Marty!
So much fun. 🤩
Been very interested in the Sugar Cane paper. Did you like it?
It’s pretty good. I love the texture and it seems pretty durable.
I can't hear you over the music
Sorry about that. The music dies down after a few seconds.
No captions, can't hear you and your mumbling.
Thanks for letting me know. I've been having some audio issues lately. Appreciate the heads up.
