Thanks for the reminder to vote! As long as Diego owns Balcones, I'll not hate them either. We do need to explore Talisker more than we have. Cheers to ya.
Sounds like a challenging one John. I love the Port Ruighe so seeing the cask make up I would've pulled the trigger on this as well. Maybe the mixing of all three ports with the Talisker peat and briny notes are too much initially. I'm hoping it'll open up for you in a while but promising first impressions. Cheers!
Intriguing review! Do you mind saying where you found this? I've been keeping an eye out but I haven't seen it yet. I'm grateful to you for introducing me to Town Wine and Spirits in the Laphroaig review-that place is awesome!
This was a special request I made months ago but you should start seeing these soonish. Norfolk Wine & Spirits in Mass is another great store! This Talisker has opened up beautifully and I will be reviewing/comparing to last 2 special releases tonight. Cheers 🥃
@@NicholasFrangipane email Bikram or ask in person if you can join NWG. Spot on with your assessment of Talisker SR and Lagavulin. I got the 2019 shipped from UK when it came out. Cheers 🥃
They got me! Diageo got me! I was at the store to buy something else and ended up getting the Lagavulin 2023 special release. Did you spring for this one, John? Would love a review, if so.
Cheers for the review. Seems like a decent dram from your notes but disappointing there is no age statement and at £120 (here in the UK) it seems overpriced considering the aged statements from 2020-2022 are significantly cheaper and still very much available.

Thanks for tuning in…you folks are great!
Bottom line… prices are getting crazy across the board.

@@justwhisky I also picked up the Kilchoman 100% Islay 13th edition, so it was an expensive outing. I’ll let you know what I think.

Thanks for tuning in…almost everything seems overpriced these days.

I guess I’ll wait till October 2024 to get this one for half price as I can do it right now for the 2022 edition …Thanks for the review !
Agree….I still see some last years on shelves but prices not going down….. yet.
