I've done this but not driving a car but riding a public van the brings commuters from Baguio to Benguet. This is one of the road trip/travel I love. Thanks for posting!
Thanks dmitiri for documenting our road. You drove past our house at Sitio Cotcot, Bangao, Buguias, Benguet. First sitio from the Benguet-Mt. Province boundary. God bless
Pogi! Please don't stop making these videos. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area. Watching the videos you make brings me back home. Keep up the great work bro. Marameng Salamat
Thanks so much, this is one of your best! The mountains are so beautiful! Just one thing I don't understand. You say this is a dangerous highway, well, the video proves that wrong. EDSA is dangerous, and Halsema is safe, uncrowded and beautiful!
I did it on a motorcycle last October in the fog and pouring rain with trucks everywhere. I was riding with bent handlebars after falling off (avoiding a bus) outside Sagada and it was really, really dangerous lol. I'd love to go back and have a look in better weather, sure to be as beautiful as you say :)
In the 1960s up to early 90s its dangerous its only one way and rough road. Thats it takes 9 to 10 hrs drive from baguio to sagada. Now its only 5 to 6 hrs and safe.
nkakahangang Tao talaga itong c dmitrivalencia Dami natutulungàng viahero, kc noong first time Akong pumanhik ng Baguio mga video nya Ang Aking tanging gabay😊 kaibigan lagi ka snang gabayan ng ating Mahal Na panginoon as iyong paglalakbay, mabuhay ka!!!
Wow! Thank You Sir for uploading this video.. nakakabawas ng homesick haha
As an Englishman I have driven this road and also the road between Banaue to Sagada fantastic mountain roads to drive. I hired a car in Manila and drove to the mountain area with a Filipino friend.
There was a video of Banaue to Sagada from an Englishman too he drove with a friend :-) That video was my inspiration to document Banaue and Halsema, You do sound like him sir and that video is still on youtube :-) Thanks for watching!
skyspy thank you for sharing your videos, it has been my long life inspiration to drive through the roads you have covered. Love the music choices you have used too sir. I finally did the Banaue to Bontoc drive and did mentioned you in that video :-)
begging your pardon, sir, I downloaded this video so I can watch it on my phone using a VR Box. galing galing :) the winding parts were amazing as well as when you approach a mountain or a ravine
Thank you sir! Your videos served as my inspiration and guide to drive these roads going to Sagada (via Banaue and Halsema). Kudos to you sir! PS: the only driving blog n nka subscribe ako. Hehe
Very scenic & beautiful views inspite na ksama sya sa most dangerous roads in the world, one of my favorite sa mga videos nyo po....Very Informative and Interesting po ana mga videos nyo... I hope sir, mkagawa din kayo ng docu-videos for Samar & Leyte Provinces... Ill be waiting for that...
nice trip, but i think your pinoy joy ride route from tagudin ilocos sur to cervantes and cervantes, bessang pass to tagudin is more dangerous and better. it is more challenging and very beautiful views. thank you in uploading your trips, drive safely, MAY GOD GUIDE YOU ALWAYS..GOD BLESS.
The white crosswind UV at your front has really sick driving skills I do not know if it is the same crosswind you encounter at the very early stage of the video. Great video though!
I love the hi-way you're pass8ng by, the panoramic scenery green , I can feel cold air that you breathe in, but I don't like sounds background it's something like horrorlific, jurrasical effect, it's unfit, I suggest you to use country sounds. I hope you're not offended, but I like, I hope I can go there too, it's really nice, thanks to your video, just always be careful, GOD BLESS
Watching fromNext time I'll go with from Baguio to Nueva Vizcaya, since I'm from Nueva Vizcaya. Last time I went through that highway Baguio -Nueva Vizcaya was in 1978 aftwr a honeymoon in Baguio. That was so scary. The road sometimes narrow through one lane, so narrow and so dangerous.
:) btw nice video/s sir!
022420--this video is exactly 4 yrs. ago today.....beautiful one.....thank you for sharing....@2:30:12, a 4 legged dog walking and then....@2:35:12, a 2 legged dog peeing at the right side of the road....that is life to some....
You are right about Halsema Highway being one of the most dangerous roads in the world cause I've seen it in other videos. I admire you for driving through it. . Did you have a panic attack somewhere along the way? Have a nice day Sir.
+Jose Barretto thank you for watching! Honestly (please dont put any other meaning to my answer just personal opinion) I did not felt any danger to the road except for two occasions (self error) where in did experience mild skidding on a wet portion (other video not uploaded). Panic attack? nope not at all and with regards to the views, i find Banaue to Bontoc as more scenic than Halsema. The Bauko Tadian Tue Road gave a little of a scratch in the head though hehehe (the one going to Cervantes). Halsema is a very busy road in my opinion. :-)
ayos to sir... parang ang kulang mo nlang ata eh yung paBicol.. Qurezon drive is interesting too. bituka ng manok. its good to know meron pa tayong mga driver who just enjoy new places and roads.
So inspired by your great joyrides sir! Matanong lang anong gamit nyo sa video recording, a Go Pro will do? Cya nga pala gumagana ba ang GPS system dito or Google map in times na hindi nyo alam ang route? I'm from Cebu, planning to have a road trip this year Luzon-bound. Places I'm interested are Baguio, Vigan, Pagudpud (Patapat Viaduct and Windmills) and Banaue Rice Terraces. Can you recommend some great routes na safe daanan at saka with nice views gaya nitong video mo. Kaya ba ng Sedan or Innova 2016 ang ganitong route? Maraming salamat in advance sa inputs nyo sir! :) God bless and have a safe Great Joyrides always.
dmitrivalencia thank you po sa info... by the way sir, ano pong route ma recommend nyo from Baguio heading to Pagudpud or vigan? may ganitong nice scenery.
dmitrivalencia ok sir gets ko na...been watching also your naguilian road Drive heading to Baguio. So same road lang pero pababa to San Fernando. Medyo clear na konti ang planned route ko hehe...Manila>Banaue (via San Jose Cty, Santa Fe, Bambang, Bayombong, Turn left at Bagabag heading to Banaue via Tinoc-Kiangan-lagawe road)> Sagada>Baguio>Vigan (via San Fernando thru naguilian road)>Pagudpud...:) Ayos lang ba ang route na to sir? :) Currently watching your Aparri and Sanches Mira / Cagayan Joyrides...
Peanut Butter don't worry , the buildings were not really on the edges of the highways as you can notice on the video and almost all of the buildings were built strong in case of landslide or something like that , and also almost the buildings were not all meant for residential , the building have some small businesses such as restaurant , vulcanizing shop , and goods such as fruits and. etc. And you know the country is not a rich one so , people tends to live their , even tho it is dangerous ( sorry for my bad English hehe ).
i'm also a driver for so many years but i think am so scared driving into that route specially using my own car at the rought road or road in on going construction due to thinking if in case of trouble or even plot tire into the close curve part of road going down from bessang pass.
+zach de guzman You need to go about twice as high (4.500 meters) for that to be a real risk. So dont worry about it. Just go to this amazing region and enjoy the scenery. I had altitude sickness once trying to climb a volcano in Africa. It was very unpleasant but dissipated as soon as I went down to the overnight stop at around 3.400 meters altitude.
It is dangerous to drive on these roads without any safety road signs and defining lines on the road... Anyone may overtake... Accidents are imminent anytime...
It is of course not legal to overtake without making sure, you have enough view of the road ahead, and lines dont always stop idiots anyway. I will say, that most locals in mountain areas know how to drive, and I am much more scared to drive in a big city like Manila.
+rmacrmac thank you for watching! I agree, EDSA is more dangerous than Halsema unless you will be driving irresponsibly here.
it's dangerous in rainy days.
I did it on a motorcycle last October in the fog and pouring rain with trucks everywhere. I was riding with bent handlebars after falling off (avoiding a bus) outside Sagada and it was really, really dangerous lol. dmitrivalencia well-noted sir. salamat sa info. God bless and more joyrides :)
Nice ride be safe
One of the most dangerous roads now

Ilang oras po biyahe baguio city to sagada?
about 4 to 5 hrs it depends if you have stop over
um did you get altitude sickness?
+zach de guzman You need to go about twice as high (4.500 meters) for that to be a real risk. So dont worry about it. Just go to this amazing region and enjoy the scenery. I had altitude sickness once trying to climb a volcano in Africa. It was very unpleasant but dissipated as soon as I went down to the overnight stop at around 3.400 meters altitude.
+zach de guzman nope , did not encountered that. This place is one of the most courteous drivers i have ever encountered. fantastic place! :-)
