- to complete the shave this week, I used the EDT Lofty Wood by zoha Aroma. This scent is inspired by Kilian Sacred Wood. The spiciness of the Cumin and the Sandalwood of the cologne gave a nice oriental touch to the finish of the shave.

Le Grand Chypre is my second favorite scent from Barrister and Mann. Seville is my favorite.
LGC to me is the scent that best represent B&M. I actually have Le Petit Chypre in Halifax and I am looking forward to use it.
I never used Seville (it is a hard soap to put your hands on) and after I try the excelsior soap base I might get it when it comes out in the newformula
Great Shave! Family time is well needed and deserved! I always found Le Grand Chypre to be a citrusy Fougere... very nice scent to this one and it was one of my very first soaps that sucked me down the rabbit hole!

The whole scent is based on the labdanum and not two person seems to be able to describe it's scent. To me, it reminds of a green pepermint... probably the attraction of this scent. There is a Fougère vibe to it but I feel it just falls short of being one, Fougère lovers will certainly appreciate this scent.

Wonderful, wonderful lather throughout. The shaving brush: my idea of a lifetime's well-worth keeping and enjoying using traditional wet shaving tool! I'm almost certain it's not the first time I've commented on this brush, but never mind it's worth admiring it every time. Spot on on your comments about second application lather not being as thick as the first application. Perfectly OK to me, too, that 2nd application lather's thinner as the beard should be shorter after first contact with the razor. Malta -- delightful island. Been there once, but I must say: it was July/Aug, *very* hot. The island practically bakes! Also, not an island if it's long sandy beaches that one's after. It's a rocky island. Still, quintessentially Mediterranean and beautiful. Well, have a nice Christmas stay at home Marc. Nothing can beat the familiarity with one's locality, being with nearest, dearest, esp. over Christmas, AND the ease & convenience of having a special "Christmasie" shave in one's home shaving den :) Have a nice Christmas Marc, good new year's celebration and looking forward to more videos in Jan 2019! The brush is a really nice one, Spiffo is really good at working with the resin. I also like the gumdrop style he uses for his handles.
I got to explain my theory on lather thickness vs slickness one of these days and why I don't bowl lather. It may turn out into an interesting discussion.
Malta, I never experienced in the summer, I was always lucky enough to visit it in April when the heat was bearable... lovely place and I one day plan to go back for a vacation this time, I think Mme Elle would love it.

I think you would like Seville too it’s citrus scent to my nose. Very easy to get. They used to sell a bundle of six samples that included it.
I will try the soap Vesper in the Excelsior formula and I will see about Seville. If Excelsior is worth it ( by this I mean if the performance support the current price) I will get it in Excelsior, if not I will try to find it in Glissant.
As for the samples, I have them but afrer a while in the same bag, they kind of all smell the same. I should have used them sooner

LOVE the SHAVE. What razor are you using?
I have 5shaves on my very first Barrister and Mann LGC, love it so much purchased two more 4oz pucks today and the EDT.
I have Seville, Cologne Russe, and the brand new Reserve Waves, all extremely wonderful scents, LGC still my favorite.

I do have Cologne Russe also. really nice stuff The razor I am using in this shave is the FENDRIHAN Ambassador MKII. www.fendrihan.ca/products/fendrihan-mk-ii-full-stainless-steel-double-edge-safety-razor
There is also a MKI (full safety bar on one side and open comb on the other but it is really aggressive. Unless you are into the super aggressive razors, I would stick with the MKII
