Please don't ever delete this work of art. I discovered this when i was 14/15, I'm 19 now. I can say with certainty that I will listen to this for the rest for my life, until the day I die.
Same, I've been appreciating this arrangement since I was about 15, I think? I'm 26 now. I never want to lose this, I would be so heartbroken. If I could, I'd buy a copy!
Cherry Dayz Yeah, you’re right that I guessed. If you want, you can just post some timestamps for what you think is right and use a bit of my comment, that’s fine with me
What you are hearing at 14:07 is Chopin's Fantasie Impromptu (which starts at 13:54) , this: ua-cam.com/video/Gus4dnQuiGk/v-deo.html Venari Strigas plays before and after Chopin's Fantasie Impromptu, resuming at 14:29. Magia plays at 15:00 and ends at 15:18
Billthazar I don't even know what those works you mentioned are. And yet anime is everywhere and who knows, maybe 300 years from now the best animated shows will be praised as the art they are just like romantic music or cathedrals
Sometimes people talk as though animation is inferior to music or sculpture, or less important culturally. It's similar to how certain people wonder whether science fiction qualifies as real literature, or whether video games count as art at all. I think that's attempted gatekeeping. If you're going to compare something to another work, do the comparison the hard way. Don't say "ah, but it's only an anime." That's just a disguised jab at an entire medium.
Okay I know that your comment is a couple months ago, but I had an urge to give you a response. The artists you mentioned have had a lasting mark on music and the world. This work that you have disregarded as art due to your experience with the other artists is quite sad though. When I close my eyes and listen to this I can delve into the structured madness of the story. The song of triumphant suffering. Even if you see these as dillusions I see them as sanctuaries. What is more precious than that? Anime has been proven to be an art form. Telling of struggle, madness, desire, passion, love, and life. Denying this is denying yourself. I will not ask you to list this as a classic for you have your opinions, but do not blind yourself with prejudice.
This arrangement is more for 2 pianos, I found the mix of famous songs for piano, which I managed to identify are very interesting, 3:51 chopin etude op 25 no11, 4:46 fur elise Beethoven, 6:32 Higeki Iri masu- To love ru (not classical music xD), 13:54 Chopin's Fantasie Impromptu, I miss any ??
Kinda wish that the concert paraphrases were listed by each section, this may just be my college music writing experiences with using concert paraphrases in original or arranged pieces. But I also hate copyright law cause that’s the only reason we do it
I believe these piano versions will stay with me for life. I've absolutely loved the music in the past and every now and then I get back to this video and I'm diving into this pool of emotions. Very few things are able to move me like that.
15:19 always reminds me of Organization XIII in KHII like it just really sounds like one of the tracks in that game. One of the many reasons I love this sonata, that and all the Chopin XD
If you ever expand this, be sure to check out the scores from the movies. Beginnings and Eternal have several altered scores, (Such as Mirai, which replaced Credens Justitiam as Mami's theme) and Rebellion is full of beautiful music, from the beautiful Holy Quintet to the frenetic Theatre of a Witch, culminating in the awe-inspring Her New Wings. Also, where can I find the sheet music for this arrangement?
Viktor Andersson I'm really looking for the first part as I attempted transcribing without success work just two hands. the second and third part aren't as complicated to transcribe. I guess, what I'm trying to say, is I don't think the first part is done by one person. But I'm extremely interested in the sheets if this was accomplished by one person in one sitting...not a recorded playing and adding to it. I really think 3 hands are needed to accomplish it. But please, I welcome anyone to disagree with me! I want to know! !
Roger Day The person who composed it played it as a .mid file. Alot of parts of the first movement is a 3hand arrangement, but the more calm parts are playable by one person You could always trancscribe the first part so that it fits 2hands, you wont miss out on alot of notes by doing this.
sparkle1princess you should actually see and listen to more people playing the piano and you will realize how the pedal and adjusting the piano for every song can make you think is not real, for how different it sounds compared to your thoughts of how a real piano sounds , until you see the player playing it :D. Plus this is a studio creation, another thing that can you make thing is not a real piano. But I agree, still amazing.
Boromir Javi Except there are times I hear 3 hands on piano :P I'm not gonna be convinced till I see someone actually play it with said pedal or whatever. True, it could be a keyboard (electronic), but I still think it's a computer playing this.
sparkle1princess have in mind is a studio piece, not for a live action show. The player can do all the tracks himself/herself then mix them, as many singers make their own choruses ^^ . But whatever it is, one thing is for sure, still amazing :D
sparkle1princess No, this was composed by Yuki Kajiura. It's not some point-and-click track made in some cheap software. It's legitimately composed and played, but mixed with other piano tracks. Studio mixes are almost always comprised of more than one track. Why would someone who makes music for videos games and is well-known do something as simple as computer-generated piano when there's an actual instrument for it and things like Adobe Audition for you to put together? I do the same with when I do metal-guitar tracks. I do two or three, maybe even four guitar tracks at once. Assumptions are never a good thing, especially when it comes to musicianship. It's almost insulting, but I guess at the same time a compliment to this composer. Anyways, have a good one. I hope hearing this from someone with actual experience in sound engineering helped clarify how this was made and why it seems 'unreal.'
Check out the album's tracklist, actually. First movement is indeed Madoka. Makes sense, since both Mami and Sayaka's arcs and sad fates had a strong influence on her final decision- this is portraying the main series Madoka up to her decision and wish in the final episode, not any of the Madokas from previous timelines or indeed, 'Godoka.' On that note, it's still a pet peeve for me when people say that Conturbatio belongs to Sayaka alone. Bah. I always saw it as more of an unrest theme, and Decretum as "that's it, this is your fate when you make a wish for someone else. this is that certainty", which Sayaka arguably depicts most clearly in the series... but she's not alone in that.
Yeah and fur elise and two other pieces are also woven into it. but I don't know the names of the others. There are probably even more songs in it, but songs that I don't know (well enough to recognise).
Orpheelover Found another one 13:55: Chopin Fantasie Impromptu :) I get the feeling that there's a lot more though, some sections sound so classical but I just don't know the repertoire well enough.

Symposium Magarum in the Madoka section? Decretum too. (Or Conturbatio, I always confuse the two). Seems like the Sayaka section starts two minutes earlier than the description indicates. Homura's picture is pretty hype.
