I was born legally deaf and I got my first pair of hearing aids when I was 3. I understand loneliness and isolation. Things got a little better but I was teased not only at school but at home also by my mom,she couldn’t handle having a deaf child. I bounced between my mom’s house and my grandparents house. My grandparents treated me extremely well,grandma taught me how to lip read and talk,my grandparents were my angels
I feel you man I got my first pair of hearing aids at 3 months but when I switched from a semi deaf school to a hearing school I was really nervous about others making me feel bad about them. But the one thing I have learned over the years is that it’s pretty easy not to hear others bs.
@@justynak7644 you just their lips if their talking to fast ask them to slow down because your lip reading that’s what I do. It takes time and look in your mirror and practice by talking to the mirror,it sounds crazy but that’s how my grandma taught me

Up until that point, they were despondent, felt that God had somehow forsaken them, etc. The servants only made things worse. Then this sudden burst of art shocked and delighted them. You could see the wonder and joy in their eyes. Not only the artwork, but the fact that she answered her older sister's direct question. Suddenly she didn't seem such a cripple after all, but a human being with some fresh self-confidence and hitherto undiscovered talent.

It really is. I was going to say that. A full length movie or maybe even a video game. The part from 6:52 to 7:50 reminded me of some game dialogue. It'd be interesting to see more of, to say the least.

It was so sweet that these tweens decided to help the girl. I think they suspect she is from the past, and it is confirmed by the embroidery at the end. The images she drew were from the storybook “Gizmo” that the modern girls loved.
apples have always been common in pretty much everywhere in the world, especially in europe, since they can survive in almost any climate. many fairytales are set in medieval europe. apples would have been pretty common and well liked. they were pretty much everywhere and everybody ate them were they rich or poor. bananas were introduced to europeans in early 1800s and would remain a rare novelty fruit that only rich would afford for few decades. bananas weren’t really that common or well liked in europe till 1900s. that’s also why stuff like wolves, sheep, doves or frogs are more common in fairytales than elephants, giraffes and lions.

Ahhh... Short films like this always make me Happy and Teary. I especially Love ones that involve very little vocal communication but, instead show meaning and intentions through actions and gestures of kindness. Body language and expressions in both people and animals, no mater haw subtle, can mean volumes in the from of communication as well. 💗

mood: me time: now jokes: still got 'em. This is EXACTLY the kind of stuff that got me interested in how to sign language interpret for live music shows - I just love rap and hip-hop so much and they're actually one of the most progressive genres of artists that want interpreters at their shows (punk rock next please) because they know at all levels of performance there are likely to be a lot of audience members with limited or no hearing - being in the military, or around loud machinery or just a lifetime of listening to loud music can really effect our hearing.
I think these three girls in this Short Film will have promising careers in Acting if they so choose 😉. I shall be watching out for them in the years ahead. I also loved the cgi of the little girls face coming out from the tree 🌳, it was a magical touch. TY for making me smile.🤗
It took a few minutes for me to connect to the characters, but after that this just became another ... WINNER, that I won't mind seeing again sometime.

This was awesome! Sad but true portrayal of how people who are different are treated differently. This unfortunately is still true even now.

My wife, who is deaf, would have loved the movie but for the lack of subtitles. Ironic for a movie about the misunderstanding of deafness.

i hate the fact that back in the past people who were different than others were always called witches or demons, it's just sad. yet they are more beautiful than "normal people"

I've watched this film SEVERAL times. Here I am to watch again. Wonderful, Wonderful Film! I do wish they would expand on it. A tv mini series or full length movie. It's right up there with The Silent Child. 👍👍👍

This is EXACTLY the kind of stuff that got me interested in how to sign language interpret for live music shows - I just love rap and hip-hop so much and they're actually one of the most progressive genres of artists that want interpreters at their shows (punk rock next please) because they know at all levels of performance there are likely to be a lot of audience members with limited or no hearing - being in the military, or around loud machinery or just a lifetime of listening to loud music can really effect our hearing.

I think these three girls in this Short Film will have promising careers in Acting if they so choose 😉. I shall be watching out for them in the years ahead. I also loved the cgi of the little girls face coming out from the tree 🌳, it was a magical touch. TY for making me smile.🤗

I have seen many good Omeleto videos. But this is the most uplifting video I have seen.
It took a few minutes for me to connect to the characters, but after that this just became another ... WINNER, that I won't mind seeing again sometime.

I know that if I were to meet someone from the past I would have them stay here for a while, and perhaps give them a few things that would help them.
But then you'd change the past automatically changing the present.
So very beautiful. Some rough edges, but -- Oh! -- so much promise and beauty in this. Bravo!
